951 - we will have enough threads to produce a book soon!
I want to take the Twingo out today but it won't fit through the narrow shop door :(

aswellasyou · 25/10/2011 15:36

I hope someone's planning a new title!

suzie38 · 25/10/2011 16:42

Yes i was noticing we're running out of space soon!!! I'm rubbish at quirky titles etc etc...Frigg it's made by Chicco something 04 .4...I'm pretty sure it had 4 in the title......Jog anyones memory...Best bet is keep checking on eBay as i bought mine off there, and the seller was actually local...Someone did buy directly from Germany i think but then changed her mind when she got it in case it damaged the Bee...I'll also look on another forum where i used to go and i think the bumper bar was a topic on there for a while.

MonkeyJuice · 25/10/2011 18:22

Chicco CT.04?

Ok, dilemma time. We usually do online grocery shopping. But if we don't put in an order, then I need to go to two shops. One has great access. The other has a narrow door and only a single fits through. We need only one or two items from the narrow shop door but we have to go there. OH will go if he needs to go out. But often I end up doing two runs - one for each shop (there's usually too much for me to carry back in one go anyway). I prefer to take a double to the main shop.
But soon we get a new Tesco in the opposite direction. DD will be at nursery and I can see DS and I doing the shopping run. I had planned to get a +one and use it for carrying all the shopping back in one go using the rear seat area which also gives me the second seat. It will also fit through the other shop doors. But after the Duet DH doesn't want to see another Mountain Buggy. Plus we don't think the +one fits in the car.
On top of that I was going to keep the Twingo because I loved the parent facing. But like today I couldn't take it because I had to go through the narrow door.
OH has just offered me money for a Donkey. He does this now and again and then (a bit like me) talks us out of it because it's a heck of a lot of money.
I am wondering if a Donkey would do all the jobs put together. But I think DD will be way too big for the seats...or will she??
I was writing up how good the Vista was earlier and wishing I could keep it...but OH doesn't see the point because of the plan to buy a Peach (but that will be the car pushchair)!
So Donkey or +one? DS can nap better in the Donkey, but it's no use if DD won't fit. We are approx 3 hours from the nearest Bugaboo Donkey stockist so we cant even try DD in the seat. Is it an utter waste of money - but resale value seems good?

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 25/10/2011 20:25

donkey,donkey DONKEY!!!!!Grin

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 25/10/2011 20:26

if nothing else,BB needs a donkey review[wunk]

Tiggywunkle · 25/10/2011 20:37

Lol I know...I think part of my dilemma is whether to let the Vista go...I mean, it's paid for, here and it's ours...

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 25/10/2011 20:46

well,you could keep it....you know,for, umm, if ,umm, the peach broke,or umm,you know,like needed washing or sumfink....Grin

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 25/10/2011 20:48

im so excited about getting my bee+ im going to get it in blue..with a blue footmuff, they look all snuggly, and a board for DD to hop on....

squeeeeeee!!!
im going to have a little nippy buggy again!Grin

Tiggywunkle · 25/10/2011 21:13

Yay for a new nippy buggy.
I decided to swap the Qtro for an Elite last night and then suddenly remembered I had just ordered the buggy board (for my sins - why I don't know as I ate the things) for the Qtro! Durr! That scuppered that plan!
What singles have huge baskets other than the Peach, Vista, Pinto and City Select? I can't see me shopping with DD walking though!!! Not yet!

suzie38 · 25/10/2011 21:17

I've thought of a title!!!

fairimum · 25/10/2011 21:22

The donkey seats are really little - i put DS in there in John Lewis, he is just 18 months and no real space width ways, think with a coat, or foot muff in there he would have looked really squashed - he isn't a big baby at all.

Tiggywunkle · 25/10/2011 21:23

Yay for a new title...your turn then to start when it's needed [wunk]
The Donkey seat measurements are actually rather good! The leg length is very good and the seat is taller and wider than the Peach. But the max weight limit is 17kg :( The Vista is much higher than that in the main seat..

Tiggywunkle · 25/10/2011 21:24

Lol our messages crossed.

suzie38 · 25/10/2011 21:26

The only bit that's small on the donkey is a narrow hip area and most kids would fit that way...Shoulder width is the same as a Cameleon...A bigger kid might need the bumper bar taking off, whereas my dinky dot is ok sliding in.

Tiggywunkle · 25/10/2011 21:31

Donkey v's Peach seat measurements half way down the page. I will never have a Donkey :( :( :(

MonkeyJuice · 25/10/2011 22:15

Is there any rush to sell the Vista? Why not just keep it for now and if you don't use it much sell it in 6 weeks.

suzie38 · 25/10/2011 23:15

Blooming heck, i need to post 8 parcels tomorrow, 9 if someone else coughs up.

Tiggywunkle · 25/10/2011 23:35

DH won't let me :( To keep it something else would have to go...

aswellasyou · 26/10/2011 12:33

Tiggy, I don't know how you let these pushchairs go! I'd be so sad. I always start changing my mind when I'm selling mine and try to think of reasons to keep them. One day I'll have a big mansion with a huge garage full of pushchairs and no cars! Grin

Tiggywunkle · 26/10/2011 15:26

OH jokes that I would love pushchairs on display stands ready to choose! I think it's easier when you have two pushchairs side by side and have to choose which to keep and which has to go.
I have just had the most gorgeous 7AM buggy blanket delivered. It's for the bike trailer really because we tried and failed to get a normal cosy toes on it and hubby wasn't buying the just throw on a load of blankets approach! Then I couldn't get cosy toes on the Twingo, so hoped this would work for that too.
The Air Buggy Mimi (I think) has just arrived too. It's a beautiful afternoon for a walk too :)

Tiggywunkle · 26/10/2011 20:17

The more I look at pushchairs, the more intrigued I am as to their origins / manufacture. Take today for example - I got an Air Buggy Mimi. But the buckle is pretty much identical to the Baby Jogger Elite one (which I love), but it's got the same folding mechanism and safety catch as the Easywalker Qtro but there were elements that reminded me of the Nipper V1 eg the front wheels and the folded pushchair, and the hood was similar to the Twinner Twist without the visor. The Vista I am sure had some elements of the Hauck Duett. There's huge similarities between Valco and TFK. And the Twingo and Stroll Air Twin are pretty much the same - but I can understand a repackaged pushchair more than seeing the same elements but different in other places.

TruthSweet · 27/10/2011 20:09

Tiggy - I feel the same way. You see prams about that really remind you of another one's wheels/hood/handle but the rest is so different.

It puts me to mind of those dress designing thingumies I had as a girl - you'd choose the head, the top, the skirt and then choose the pattern . You wonder if they have a big computer programme with a selection of chassis, wheels, baskets, handles, fabrics, etc, etc and pram companies pick what they want.

On other news I am getting one of these tomorrow. Retro chic!
