Or maybe pramsgalore? Who knows their doubles? Do you truth?

Tiggywunkle · 23/09/2011 22:05

There's one I want to show Suzie but I don't even have the name to Google it!

Honeydragon · 23/09/2011 22:05

Hah ha re a life lol it's called 'having children'! Nursery is looking very attractive at the minute! I never would send them pre 3, but some 'me time' would be good! Thank goodness for the iPad!

pramsgalore · 23/09/2011 22:21

why do you need little old me Smile

Honeydragon · 23/09/2011 22:25

You called Tiggy?

Catonkey · 23/09/2011 23:17

Hi, would you ladies care to share some of your stroller knowledge with me? :)
A generous friend gave me a lovely condition Mothercare Urban Detour travel system which I love, the suspension and big tyres mean I can go on decent walks with DD and the dog and don't have to worry about the terrain. The downside is that its heavy and unwieldy when it comes to getting in and out of the car, not sure how I've still got all of my fingers!

I'd love a more lightweight stroller for shopping and trips out - I have a budget of about £150 and want a decent one that will see me through the toddler years. I like 3 wheelers...apart from that I don't have a clue where to start Confused

Over to you! :)

TruthSweet · 23/09/2011 23:23

Baby Jogger City Mini Grin

It should last until your DD doesn't need a pushchair any more. I had the double version and DD1 who's 117cm/20kg fitted in it though obviously it wasn't for her to ride in on anything more than a emergency dash to hospital!

Catonkey · 23/09/2011 23:29

Ooh I looked at one of them today! Really liked it, especially the massive hood but it was £225 which I'd have to save really hard for (DP has had a big wage cut but that's another thread) are they pretty durable then?

Better start counting the copper jar :)

Tiggywunkle · 23/09/2011 23:32

You wont go wrong with a BJCM. Great pushchair! Look at the Britax B-Agile as well though. Its a bit cheaper. Mine will be here on Monday I believe...

Thanks Truth - Prams has been really helpful :)

pramsgalore · 23/09/2011 23:33

get a second hand one off ebay to keep you in your budget

TruthSweet · 23/09/2011 23:38

The double I had was 4th hand when I sold it last week (only manf. 08/2010 though) and it was in great condition even though I used it at least 2-3 times a day or we were out in it 7-8 hours walking/shopping/park.

Plus it has a life time guarantee regardless of it not being bought new (frame/chassis/wheels bits only not fabrics).

Pooh I missed out on the secret pram squirrels Sad If only I had been quicker. I shouldn't let those pesky children/DH get in the way of pram news again Wink

TruthSweet · 23/09/2011 23:44

Catonkey - you could get a BJC Micro if you want a really pared down pushchair for shopping. It has smaller wheels, minimal napping type recline (not the near flat of the Mini), smaller hood, smaller price but really wouldn't do any sort of off-roading (possibly go over neatly trimmed grass Wink) whereas the Mini will at least go over rough-ish terrain (gravel/sand - I definitely rec. tipping on to back wheels only and pulling behind like a cart!).

pramsgalore · 23/09/2011 23:48

oooo thats another obsession of mine wagons!!!!!

Honeydragon · 24/09/2011 00:17

Ooooh thats a point....I got my Babboe up a pathetically small hill today!!!! I must be getting fitter.

I second getting the BGCM, I don't need on at all but am wavering ....I fancy one for snow, but can't find any info on whether it performs.

Lots of new pushchair bits & pieces here for you to read under Recent Posts on the LH side at the bottom - or latest news. I think Suzie will like the Bubble, and I know Prams likes the P&T bits. There's some lovely Easywalker June bits. It just looks better and better with the air tyres and coloured liners. I know we joked re the headlights earlier but I wouldn't be surprised if those red bits are reflectors! Also apparently the June comes out in about 2 weeks time!!!! Can anone find it to preorder / buy??? I would like to know if the Jane Twone sits upright in tandem mode. I have loads more to do tomorrow but its 4am now and definitely bed time!

Tiggywunkle · 24/09/2011 03:57

Sorry you can tell its late! I linked to one of the posts and not to the front page. Here is the right link to Best Buggy!

Honeydragon · 24/09/2011 07:38

That bubble is pretty clever

Is the Quinny back pack one going ahead do you think? I know it was a "concept" for a while, as they were happy with the zapp cornering the Market for a small fold.

Honeydragon · 24/09/2011 07:38

Hope you get a lie in Tiggy, thanks for taking the time to link.

The Bubble is great but i thought of that seat concept as a child with one of my prams!!!

suzie38 · 24/09/2011 08:05

Ditto Honeydragon, thanks so much for all your hard work!!!

Hollie's Orbit Helix video...Her Facebook page is great with info from the ABC buggy show in America.

Tiggywunkle · 24/09/2011 09:21

Lie in...yeah right lol! I can't wait to see the video in a bit. I believe the Yezz is going into production. I have a folded photo of it somewhere. It's also on the video with the Moodd which I doubt would be done if it was simply a prototype. I would love to know more about the Bubble ie if it's on sale or is going to be.
