Okaaaaay, new thread, new addictions, newly hammered bank accounts abound.

I don't think the Bee is that compact and it's darn ugly and ungainly when folded...Wish it'd have freestood.

MonkeyJuice · 23/10/2011 23:30

Personally I would use the bugaboo board, its a lot lighter than the freerider. I found that my feet slipped neatly under the bugaboo board (once i learned not to look down). The free rider will get in the way much more. Can't squeeze beside it. Can't walk behind it either. You will invalidate your bugaboo guarantee if you choose a non bugaboo board.

MonkeyJuice · 23/10/2011 23:35

The bee is not a good rear facer for a child over around 2y as with all the weight balanced over the rear wheels, you will encourage some serious front wheel shimmy. Also theres no calf or foot rest in rear mode. some uncomfortable leg dangling will occur.

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 24/10/2011 09:58

hmmm, not very good reviews from you lot then....
it will only be an occasional RF for DS on the way back from pre-school,DD would use it maybe once a week when she gets tired but FF,she would use the buggy board more often.

im so confused now,i thought the bee was the answer....
i feel like the vista will feel to bulky, the BJCM is great but it would be nice to do RF for DS as he's only 13 months i can get a BJCM4 at some point next year.

what should i get then?
any ideas?

Hi Susan

Many thanks for your email.

The new versions of the PEPP are lovely, and Wineberry has proven to be one of the most popular colours since the relaunch.

The Nottingham stockist is incorrect I?m afraid and don?t stock Nuna at present ? we are due to launch in John Lewis in January and in independent retail outlets across the country from the end of this month.

I will contact the distributor and find out where your nearest stockist will be and get back to you asap.

Best wishes,

Lynda

Have you compared measurements between the two...The Vista is a longer fold up depth wise they're probably on par...Width is wider of course but wheels are removable...And you can fold Vista as one piece or in two parts which makes the chassis very light to handle...Vista would be good for all terrains and possibly snow but the Bee would not work in snow at all, i'm guessing as it'll just get trapped in all 4 wheels.

suzie38 · 24/10/2011 10:19

I've had the Dutch retailer emailing me this morning asking if i was still interested as they have everything in stock...Plus i can use Paypal to part pay as i have close to £100 in the account....Plus most of the other money would eventually be covered by the sale of my current one, which i only paid £100 for anyway as it was on offer at half price in M&P when i bought it for my birthday last year.

Tiggywunkle · 24/10/2011 10:33

I think the Vista would surprise you Frigg. I expected it to be more like the B-Dual ie bigger, bulky and heavy (no logic apart from it looks similar) but it feels really light - seriously light - and after the Verve it will feel like a feather! It looks taller too than it feels when you push it. I am really seriously struggling to fault it. I do not think the standing fold is secure ie it feels like it could topple but we had it propped against a wall as well.
Does the Vista really seriously work well off road and in snow? The front wheels look as small as a lot of other pushchairs? Its one of only two pushchairs that I couldn't drive head first off a step in tandem mode because the front wheels couldn't take it. It did drive across our thick gravel well though forwards.
But I didn't expect to be trying to work out how I could keep it - I thought it would be easy to let go and it's not. It's great!
BTW my photos got uploaded last night and once I get time to sort them I will set them live and link you.
It's a pushchair that DD looks incredibly comfy in - it's got a lovely long footrest and she's not dangling feet or frog legged.
In fact why am I not keeping it??!! Lol

Tiggywunkle · 24/10/2011 10:34

Suzie, I would use your Paypal money and buy it :) Paypal money never feels like spending real cash :) Does the Xari come today? If so, enjoy the unpacking because that's part of the experience :)

suzie38 · 24/10/2011 10:35

IT'S ARRIVED!!!

suzie38 · 24/10/2011 10:37

Can i unpack it in pajamas??? Or is that slovenly and will spoil the experience???

Tiggywunkle · 24/10/2011 10:48

Lol that's slovenly ;)
Get dressed and treat it like Christmas Day :)
Enjoy!

MonkeyJuice · 24/10/2011 10:51

The Vista honestly does not feel heavy or bulky in use. For nippiness it feels as nippy as the bee. It just doesn't have that "bobbing along cushy suspension" of the bee. The Vista gives a good shock absorbing squish when necessary, and it dies absorb feeling of uneveness and roughness of terrain well but its not bouncy....unless you put pressure on the handlebar.

fairimum · 24/10/2011 11:08

We have used our vista across very bumpy uneven fields and in the woods and it has been super - was expecting to have to lock the front wheels but didn't need to!
The front wheels are loads bigger than most :)

MonkeyJuice · 24/10/2011 11:34

Vista front wheels are as big as rear wheels of many other prams. I also use my Vista regularly through woods no problems.

suzie38 · 24/10/2011 11:41

Too late i did it in pajamas!!! Found attaching the seat pad rather fiddly and have already lost one of the locking clips [hblush] though sure it'll turn up...It initially fell inside as i had some silver clips on that i wasn't sure you were suppose to take off though figured you had to, to make it into a carrycot...DD can sit in the carrycot with the hood up and doesn't bump her head...Anyway it's all ready to go...Though it's first journey is likely to be far from glamorous!!!

suzie38 · 24/10/2011 11:45

I love the smell of a brand new pushchair coming out of a box!!! [hgrin]

Tiggywunkle · 24/10/2011 11:45

The seat pad is the hardest bit, but it's not to bad when you know how! I hope the clip turns up. Have you got your cosy toes on?
Enjoy the outing even if it's not glamorous!

Tiggywunkle · 24/10/2011 11:46

I just loved the way it was all packed and the curved seat being revealed :)

aswellasyou · 24/10/2011 11:51

How exciting! I'd have done it in my pyjamas too. :o

MonkeyJuice · 24/10/2011 12:12

I'm so jealous Suzie. I hope your first run feels glamorous!

Tiggywunkle · 24/10/2011 12:25

I want to cancel my BJCM4 for an Elite....arrghh! The BJCM4 will hide away nicely though....

MonkeyJuice · 24/10/2011 12:50

Unless you need the compact fold bjcm4 is be tempted to get the elite. Those tyres make sense for winter. Plus you get the handlebar console. Also the magnetic hood flaps are so posh! Also the raisable kicker board for sleeps.

Tiggywunkle · 24/10/2011 13:04

I think the compact fold is worth a lot - it fits down the back of DDs bed and under the car roof. We have the double Elite here and it's gorgeous. DH isn't biting though - I just tried....I sooo would love one but it's because it's for us, not to review...

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 24/10/2011 13:25

does anyone know anywhere i can see the vista and the bee+ together in RL?
