Frigg - how were the viewings?

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 22/10/2011 08:54

the viewings were good,i like the 1st one best....but it was very messy so im a bit worried about storage, there were also a few bit's that need fixing, but overall i really like it,we are seeing another just like it but that's been totally renovated with a big kitchen dinner tomorrow, bit out of our budget, but i HAVE to see itGrin

suzie38 · 22/10/2011 09:35

I'm so jealous of you looking at houses Frigg...We abandoned our moving plans a while back so now have plans to improve my house instead but it's not the same...The pictures in the first house made me smile as they'd made no attempt to tidy up before the photographs were taken...A house i clean is on the market, and i'm sure the seller thought fingerprints on the televisions would show up on the photographs, he's that particular...I never got to put my house on the market because i just couldn't get it tidy enough to feel comfortable having photographs taken...Good luck with your searching...I liked the first one as i love the idea of having a cellar...My favorite house which i looked at had a cellar with electrics and lights but needed properly converting plus it had a cool loft conversion that DD would have loved when she got old enough to use it.

I've fallen in love with my Nuna again as i used it at Ikea tonight...It's as easy to push as the Donkey so i'm thinking of buying the new model with the lay flat recline as i'm pretty sure it has a bigger basket...Off to Google it shortly.

suzie38 · 22/10/2011 21:34

seems as though my local, 10 minute away baby shop is a seller for it...If i buy one i'll get the Wineberry color as it'll hide the dirt more plus it's a shade of purple and DD loves purple.

Tiggywunkle · 22/10/2011 23:42

Has it got a bigger basket? Purple sounds nice :)
It's quiet here - Prams has gone away. Anyone else?

suzie38 · 22/10/2011 23:49

Looks like a bigger basket with a dip at the back so easier to access...I thought it was removable but i think i dreamt that one up!!! The pramshop is open tomorrow so i might give them a call to see if they are stockists...They're also Dutch and the Mima seller i was interested in, also sells the Nuna but not got the matching footmuff in stock...Yes it is rather quiet tonight...Forgot Prams had gone away.

Tiggywunkle · 23/10/2011 00:07

The only downer of a dip in the back of the basket is that things fall out. The Vista basket is huge with high sides but there is a dip at the front and back! I kept having to push things into the basket as they kept sliding out.
Good luck with the phone call tomorrow.
I soooo need to make some decisions...

MonkeyJuice · 23/10/2011 07:17

Oooh, is that the Nuna Pepp? I just googled. It looks fab. Where's the best place online to buy from? Did mamas and papas sell them? Or are those ones different?

MonkeyJuice · 23/10/2011 07:22

Hopefully my black Vista covers will come early this week.
Don't think my superlight classic Micralite is due til November.
The off road Micralite wheels are still in transit. Will probably have import duty to pay.
I do like the look of the Nuna Pepp....wonder if JL do them?

suzie38 · 23/10/2011 09:11

Yes, i bought my Nuna from M&P last October for my birthday...Have been revamped and sold as a Nuna Pepp now in much the same way as the Joolz Day...Seat now has 3 recline positions including a near flat position...And basket looks a bit bigger as i've read that the seat is a little higher now...That's it's only fault for me, basket is tiny...I know others don't like the low undercarriage but never been an issue for me...It's great as DD can actually climb in and out herself...Raincover is a bit of a faff to get on but i guess once you get used to it, it's easier...Though with new version you have to buy the cover seperately whereas at M&P it can automatically...When i put my postcode in i got 2 sellers, one a couple of miles away and the other was in Dorset i think!!! The shop near me is lovely as it's where i bought my Oyster accessories from...They also sell iCandy though i won't be getting the Strawberry anymore.

MonkeyJuice · 23/10/2011 11:31

Suzie38 can you message me a link to those shops pls, as I am mostly on my mobile atm and I only found fruugo and a shop in nl! The postage is a bit more from there. Dorsets not too far from me, but anywhere in the UK might be easier to order from.
Still waiting for my JL order of 8 in 1 multicooker that should've come on Friday. Email with tracking disappeared...emailed customer services but as its the weekend no response. It'll probably come Monday at a guess. I love kitchen gadgets! I'm not the best cook, so things that are automated can be a huge help!

suzie38 · 23/10/2011 14:31

Rang the local shop and they had no idea what i was talking about!!! So no idea why Nuna have listed them...I'll do a postcode search again and contact that other shop...I found them on Fruugo, any one used that??? Babytrader who i considered buying the Nuna off sell them but not the footmuff that i'd like to get as well.

suzie38 · 23/10/2011 14:39

I've sent a message to the other shop, that is in Dorset, Bornmouth technically speaking...It maybe that they've also been randomly added!!!

Tiggywunkle · 23/10/2011 15:27

I am so glad I don't have three under two! Trying to find a triple pushchair / option that's practical for modern living is hard!

MonkeyJuice · 23/10/2011 17:14

I haven't used fruugo...yet. am thinking of the chocolate one, though the wineberry is really lovely. I have the purple bjcm atm. Which I plan to keep as its the most useful one for travel by train, also most versatile for a week away.

MonkeyJuice · 23/10/2011 17:16

Wishing I hadn't sold the breeze now, or that the swift had been without problems.

suzie38 · 23/10/2011 17:36

www.babyveilig.nl/index.php?route=product/category&path=49

I'm mostly likely going to buy through here...Messaged them to confirm they'll post over here but haven't gone as far as to find what the postage is.

MonkeyJuice · 23/10/2011 18:13

Ah, that was the other site I found. I think oostage was around 30 euros. Don't know if that took into account me being in the UK, as I hadn't typed my address in. Just out in basket and then looked at post cost. It might have known I was from UK somehow though?

suzie38 · 23/10/2011 18:17

Got this recently...

does anyone know the weight limit of a bugaboo bee+? it wouls be mainly for DS but with occasional use for DD if possible.

i like the vista, but id prefer something more compact i think,
and i like the BJCM,but this might be my last chance for rear facing and i can always get a BJCM when DS is bigger...

also has anyone used the bugaboo board? does it stick out a lot?
or is the mountian buggy scooter board able to fit on the bee+ yet?!

suzie38 · 23/10/2011 21:42

Official site says 17kg.

Tiggywunkle · 23/10/2011 21:43

The websites I have seen all say 17kgs max weight.
I have to say I dont find the Bee particularly compact. In fact I bought the Chameleon because it took up less room in my car. I am sure I saw a review of a double pushchair recently that was a similar size to the Bee when folded!
The Freerider connector only fits the Chameleon.
