Okaaaaay, new thread, new addictions, newly hammered bank accounts abound.

Took the Xari out for it's maiden voyage...It truely is a lovely item but i'll be honest, the Donkey has a far superior pushability...When asked DD said her favorite was the Xari...Don't think she noticed it's a high ride...I'm definetly going to get a Joolz Day XL bag for it as i'm used to lots of basket space...DH didn't push it so he's not reviewed it yet.

suzie38 · 24/10/2011 14:18

Frigg, a pram shop near me but that's not much use to you though...Sorry so have a Biscuit instead!!!

Tiggywunkle · 24/10/2011 14:42

Aww, I am sorry the Xari isn't as good to push :( I am glad DD liked it though.
I am having an OMG moment at the minute.....i will message you....

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 24/10/2011 14:59

oh,im sorry about the pushability on the xari...the donkey must be an amzing push to beat a mima!

im going mad looking at singles...what are your fave's?

suzie38 · 24/10/2011 15:12

Flyer i have to say but i did love the pushability of the Bee Plus but it wouldn't be as flexible as a Vista...My bugbears with the Vista was the handle height mostly, plus i like a bit more give on suspension than the Vista gave, but then i guess in time it might loosen anyway...The basket is huge and was amazing for shopping...Bee Plus you need the seat either rear facing or have DC out of the seat while you load it up, as it's easier if you lift the seat physically up...Vista seat can be turned around with child in if it's not too heavy, though sure that's not recommended...Bee Plus you have no choice but to take child out plus i was always worried i'd break the mechanism so always needed the instructions to hand...Vista has a bumper bar which i love...Though i did buy a Chicco one that fitted onto my Bee.

fairimum · 24/10/2011 15:15

My vista suspension has def softened up a bit :) is lovely! lol I am sounding a bit like a stuck record so will stop now!

MonkeyJuice · 24/10/2011 17:07

Sorry, more Vista ranting coming....
My black hood and seat arrived. I've fitted them already. They look very striking! I have the graphite frame, so it looks a tad "batmobile" ! I think the black covers show off the darker graphite frame better than the yellow.
We've been potty learning here...on day two and Ds seems to have "got it" already! I'm so proud of him. He's very concientious. Takes himself to the loo, wipes and flushes all on his own.
I have a couple of inserts for the buggy seat to protect it just incase. Nice thick snunkie ones. I need a travel potty I think. Can anyone recommend one that is good for a boy? I'm wondering about the expensive travel carry potty?

suzie38 · 24/10/2011 17:19

Last week DD had 100% success at home if she had a naked bottom...Put pants on and accidents often happen...Twice she did ask to have her nappy taken off and then wee'd so i'm just taking it slowly...My worry is when she's in my dad's care as he refused to have anything to do with nappies and i can tell he feels uncomfortable with that area...Planning on getting a Carry Potty so at least he can just whip it out wherever they are, if needs be...Plus i can see DD enjoy carrying it around though it'll probably be filled with toys!!!

Tiggywunkle · 24/10/2011 17:20

Well done DS. I like the Tommee Tippee Potette simply because the contents can be tied up and thrown in the nearest bin. It's small folded too.
Lol re the Batmobile Vista!

suzie38 · 24/10/2011 17:21

And i bet people will buy secondhand Carry Potty's anyway especially at NCT sales which i've sold at twice now...Was too late registering for the November Table Top sale though.

TruthSweet · 24/10/2011 17:36

Monkey - I just use a ordinary potty (from 99p shop I think) in a Bag For Life carrier. You just need to put a cheap sanitary towel in the bottom of a nappy sack (own brand will do but not Value/Basics) and then tuck it around the potty like you would a bin line. Tie the handles up when filled! Then ou can put it in a nappy bin/sanitary towel bin or take home if needs be.

We did have the Potette but DD1 refused to sit on it as it was about 2" off the ground so we went with an ordinary potty instead.

fairimum · 24/10/2011 17:57

the carry potty is fantastic!!

We keep it in the car now! DD hated the fold out ones as think were a bit wobbly!

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 24/10/2011 18:08

we have a pottete,and its great...liners are £'s though!

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 24/10/2011 18:09

im going a bit mad,i keep deciding, then changing my mind! arrrgh!

Tiggywunkle · 24/10/2011 18:25

What are the current choices?

fairimum · 24/10/2011 18:47

no idea where you are but sure Daniels in Windsor had both vista and bee+ prob no help at all! Maybe call local uppababy stockists and see if they have that and the bee in stock?

aswellasyou · 24/10/2011 18:55

Have you seen this special edition iCandy Peach?

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 24/10/2011 19:18

vista,
bee+
or
BJCM...

arrrghh!!

the bee+ would be perfect except for the small wheels in the snow,
the uppababy would be perfect but it's bigger and pricier than id like,
and the BJCM is a great all rounder but wont do RF OR snow!

and the worst part is thee are 2 or 3 buggys coming out next year that would do everything i want, but i cant wait that long,i need it in the next week or so!

Gah!

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 24/10/2011 19:19

im thinking of getting the bee+and just using the Ergo in the snow...

Tiggywunkle · 24/10/2011 19:32

There may be no snow Wink. I Googled baby sledges yesterday and there's some lovely ones.
The new Peach is lovely. I like the black frame. I saw it earlier this year - there's some pics on BB. I think it's looks better in RL. No two will be the same because of the fabric pattern. There was a version using London sights and red buses to highlight, but I don't think it's coming out. I have the photos somewhere. It's very pretty.

MonkeyJuice · 24/10/2011 20:24

Friggfrigg are you sure you'd use the ergo in snow? Some of our snow had black ice under and was absolutely treacherous underfoot last year.
I didn't use any slings as it felt too dangerous on the paved areas I was afraid of falling back on Ds and crushing him. I know you have your hands free but it was pretty slippy out there!
I've just realised my new Vista hood has magnets on the panel...my original Maya hood had velcro. I much prefer the magnets for stealth peeks!

Tiggywunkle · 24/10/2011 20:28

My Vista has magnets too. What I love about the Vista is that it's the first pushchair I gave used that has a practical peekaboo window - its in the lower panel instead of the upper one so you can open it and look at the child without stopping and standing on tiptoe - you look through rather than down. It was great with the rumble seat as I could see the child in it well. I am still hankering after keeping it...

MonkeyJuice · 24/10/2011 21:03

It was so hot this summer i actually found the mesh opening useful to get more breeze over Ds's head. Particularly when rear facing for naps.
As a single the vista is just wonderful for our needs.
I wonder if there is a way you could keep yours? I think in the long term it could be very practical for you. I saw on ebay a Vista snug seat thing for younger babies. A cram insert and thought of you. Wondered if you'd seen it too.

Tiggywunkle · 24/10/2011 21:21

Yes I have. But I love the Peach and plan A is to buy our own. The Vista couldn't compete with that however lovely it is :) The Peach is simply fabulous.

MonkeyJuice · 24/10/2011 21:55

It does look pretty - is the peach seat unit much smaller than the vista? It looks like it only takes 44lbs from the reviews I've seen (about 19kg - and the vista takes 22kg)...so for us - given ds's age - and that we'll need it until age 5 or more (unless I pass my driving test!) I'll probably have to stay with the vista (which tbh I'm happy with)!
I'd love to see pics of the vista and the peach side by side - also the vista and cameleon. Just to show visually the differences in size and seat heights etc.
