The Vista doesn't lie totally flat but mine did have 4 positions...The 2012 model will have 5 position including a true horizontal.

aswellasyou · 20/10/2011 21:28

I do agree about making the house your own. I bought a flat that need everything doing to it so I could choose it all myself. It was really fun but hard work because I lived there while sll the work was done. The first house does sound better with the extra bedroom and better location.

Tiggywunkle · 20/10/2011 21:37

I will have to have another play tomorrow, but I am sure there were just three positions each way.
Have you seen that Britax have acquired BOB strollers? It would be interesting if BOB came to the UK as they are a massive brand in the US. I can't read the full press release at the minute on my phone :(

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 20/10/2011 21:42

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 20/10/2011 21:50

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 20/10/2011 22:09

thats what DP said,he wants it to be his 'man cave' Hmm
maybe we could use it as the master bedroom, and let the DC have upstairs....

fairimum · 20/10/2011 22:26

the 2010 vista had 3 positions and like silver spokes on the wheels (i think), then 2011 has 4 positions - they added the most upright position! :)

suzie38 · 20/10/2011 22:30

Thursday is the new Sunday on eBay...I sold 6 items this evening...Then 3 more will sell on Sunday minimum...Mind you it's only the tip of the iceburg in this house!!!

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 20/10/2011 22:37

god i need to get ebaying! there is so much stuff in this house! piles of kids clothes shoes, toys, outgrown pregnancy garb....

suzie38 · 20/10/2011 22:40

I'm going to try and keep a minimum of 25 99p items at all times as i should incur no charges most of the time.

Tiggywunkle · 20/10/2011 22:47

Mine is supposed to be the 2011 - I sent them away to check....how would I know??

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 20/10/2011 23:03

from what i worked out when i was thinking of getting one, the new one has a very upright position and the older one does not, this is the new 4th postion, i don't think there is much inbetween the 4th and 3rd postion, also the wheels on the old one are silver inside and the new one is all black

MonkeyJuice · 20/10/2011 23:06

I think four, but also I thought horizontal...will have a good look and count of positions tomorrow! I only use complete layback when facing me so will try both ways. The layback mechanism is within the seat frame itself, so if you wanted you could upgrade to a newer seat frame. Prob wouldn't be so expensive to do. They don't charge the earth for spares like some companies. Eg my seat and hood fabrics cost £65. (seat fabric includes harness and hood includes visor etc - now compare that to the price of a simple bugaboo hood and pram apron....swim? )

Tiggywunkle · 21/10/2011 01:02

My Vista has one of the most bolt upright seats I have seen. The inside of the wheels are also black. It's possible if the settings are really close together that I have just missed them. I will have a play tomorrow. It's not an issue but I was reading the manual after taking photos and knew I had only counted three positions both ways! But its easy to miss a middle one out.

I have set a load of Powertwin photos live on BB over the last two days. The ones with the children show clearly the issues I had with the front footrest / DD's feet next to and behind the wheels. I dont think DS looks comfy reclined either.

MonkeyJuice · 21/10/2011 07:33

I was dreaming about the Vista last night! I dreamt my nephew was a baby again, so I had to sit him in the seat and my boy had to use the piggyback! I also dreamt I left my nephew in a highchair all night because I forgot to put him to bed. In my dreams I am a terrible mother! Very strange dream indeed (it also included me in a swimming competition). So surreal!

MonkeyJuice · 21/10/2011 10:02

I have 4 seat positions on my Vista. The most reclined is not quite horizontal, but pretty close.
Tiggy i don't think the older 3 position recline has ever been sold in the UK. It was also a shorter seat with black fabric on the calf rest.
If you put seat ff there's bolt upright, then paralell to the handle bar, then semi recline, then near horizontal. Same four positions if seat is facing you too.

MonkeyJuice · 21/10/2011 10:37

Just saw on another thread, that many mums are paying extortionate prices for raincovers and I wanted to mention here the ebay seller undercoverpvc sells excellent new raincovers at low prices. The graco stadium duo also fits the sit n stand buggies and many other tandems. The zipped travel system raincover fits virtually all singles, even 3 wheelers. Infact I use this one on my Vista if its a power shower as it saves getting the hood fabric soaked (as happens with the zip in cover) . I've had my zip raincover for about 8 years now!

Tiggywunkle · 21/10/2011 11:35

I will have a play either later or this weekend. I will get the carrycot and car seat out and have a look too.

aswellasyou · 21/10/2011 12:23

What weird dreams Monkeys!Hmm
They have been paying a lot! I bought a raincover described as being for the Stadium Duo to go with the Contours. It cost £15.99. And I bought this to go on my stroller for £8. I never use it anymore, so I really should sell it.

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 21/10/2011 13:21
