Okaaaaay, new thread, new addictions, newly hammered bank accounts abound.

Suzie, I think you will need the footmuff although Frigg probably knows better. But the harness attaches to the seat pad and then the back of the seat. I believe to add the footmuff, you remove the seat pad and put the footmuff on. I honestly think you will struggle to put any other footmuff on as it won't stay on at the top. But see what you think when it arrives but in your shoes I would be ordering it. However Frigg again can probably tell you how roomy it is for a toddler. I never got one :(

I have got the Vista out this afternoon and caught myself contemplating keeping it Shock. it's incredibly light though and folds with the seat on. I just can't get over how light it is but then again I am usually carrying a double. The rumble seat is just so small and handy to have in a corner. The red isn't metallic like the photos. Sometimes I don't like having to make choices!!!! I can't keep everything but I am sorely tempted this time. Its kind of what we need right now. I bet the Rumble seat would fit in the basket. I will try tomorrow. I took some photos today but it got too dark to try the carrycot and car seat on.

I am off now to look at Friggs houses and the other links :)

Tiggywunkle · 20/10/2011 18:40

I have a tray similar to that (if not the same) and it's been rubbish TBH although we only tried it in the car. It didn't have long enough legs to go down the side of the car seat and kept falling off.

We rejected a high offer on the Taga (which we would have taken) after someone insisted we post it abroad even though we had no way to do so and clearly stated as such!!! Poor feedback or a new Ebayer may make me reject a bid too.

Houses now! Sorry I am on my phone tonight!

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 20/10/2011 19:07

Sad i read that it strapped to the child, so i thought the bumperbar would keep it up, did not realise it had legs

MonkeyJuice · 20/10/2011 19:09

Tiggy, that is the beauty of the Vista, so light and immensly practical. As a single anyhow. I think you should get and try the piggyback. Do you anticipate needing a single again in the future? Maybe next year?
It's a fab single for our needs and I love the quality and the option to still have Ds facing me, particularly after nursery when he's due a sleep.

MonkeyJuice · 20/10/2011 19:13

The Vista snack tray has also been really useful on a whole days outing.

suzie38 · 20/10/2011 19:31

My plan was to hook the Bugaboo custom over the top of the seat back...I never strap DD in any pushchair even though i know i should.

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 20/10/2011 19:35

i have left the seat cushion on mine underneath the buggysnuggle, i will be putting my mountain buggy or stokke on it soon, as long as it covers the red cushion i will be happy, don't want to hook anything over the back, as you will be able to see it on the back, and it will cover the seat recline

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 20/10/2011 19:48

suzie,i really think you will need to buy the mima footmuff,i dont think any other would fit on.they are nice and roomy,DD was just 3 when we had it and she still just fit in,lovely shoe area too...

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 20/10/2011 19:48

oh,and i want a vista...Blush

Tiggywunkle · 20/10/2011 20:17

I don't think you will get away without stepping DD in either. She will simply fall off to be honest. It's not safe at all otherwise. I think your custom will either not fit the curve of slide straight off. Honestly, get the matching footmuff - it's really one pushchair that needs the own brand.
I will need a decent single this year but to be honest I am saving up for another Peach whenever my Blossom goes back. I have had many pushchairs and the Peach is totally me. Like I said I had a debate over keeping the Vista earlier but the Peach is streets ahead IMVHO. No logical reason - I just like the shiny chassis, chunky handle, easy fold, seat shape, large hood etc etc. I think the Vista comes near the top of my favourites list though. The Vista is also pretty long folded and not as flat as I feel it could be. I am going to try it in my car tomorrow. I think if I were to contemplate something other than the Peach, I would stick with iCandy and get a Strawberry.

Frigg - lovely houses. I think No 2 is my favourite too although I like the open plan feeling of No1. I like the garden of No2 better too. I hope the viewings go well.

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 20/10/2011 20:39

i don't see the point in spending out for the mima footmuff my self, i really can not see why a normal footmuff would not fit, granted a hook over one won't fit properly, but thats it, i don't like the mima ones as they zip up the front, which means that to have their arms out, it would need to be unzipped quite low down, kind of defeating the point, a bit like the mountain buggy one i have, which i am not keen on, but got for free!!!
my buggysnuggle i kind of tucked behind the seat cushion, but thats not thick, so got away with it,

TruthSweet · 20/10/2011 20:41

Anyone seen this? I saw one a few days ago and it is very nice looking in the flesh. Great size basket too!

MonkeyJuice · 20/10/2011 20:41

The icandys are definately lovely. I've been a bit put off by negative reviews of chassis rusting and wheels falling off though. I've also walked behind one that was in awful condition and wheels like /---\ too. I know there are horror stories about all sorts of prams. Id like to hear more good things about icandys! The chrome chassis are lovely.
My Micralite off road wheels are in the UK. So far costing £60 per set. Hope I don't get stung for import duty. However customs have them right now. I'm going to have to auction the extra set at this rate and hope to get my money back!
I've no news on when the superlite classic will be available yet. Prob November.
I also have been trying to chase up my Vista covers order. Firm order placed and paid for 2 weeks ago. The black covers were said to be in stock with uppababy at the time. I've emailed winstanleys daily since Mon. So far no reply. Phoned today, and they're not answering the phone either!

MonkeyJuice · 20/10/2011 20:45

Just to clarify, uppababy Vista covers were ordered through winstanleys, who told me they'd checked they were in stock with uppababy before I paid for my order. I just want them to confirm they have actually ordered the covers now they have my payment!

MonkeyJuice · 20/10/2011 20:48

Are john Lewis prams rebranded cossatto prams?

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 20/10/2011 20:48

oh and i agree with tiggy you will have to strap dd in, its quite high up and she would slide/fall out. its the shape of the seat, very up right, the stokke and the xari are the only two pushchairs dd has not tried to climb out of, perhaps she scared of heights Hmm Grin

Tiggywunkle · 20/10/2011 20:53

Stepping = strapping!
The JL pushchairs are rebadged MyChild ones. That is the Pinto one.
I have had two Peaches now and a Pear. The Pear had sticking wheels but apparently that's because of the child weight (no excuse though really!) but the two Peaches have been gorgeous to push, huge baskets, chunky handles, huge hoods, comfy seats and more. Simply beautiful. No issues here with wheels, noises or anything other than scratches on the frame but you expect that with any pushchair across time. But I did pass a very noisy wheeled Peach the other day and I have friends who have had multiple issues. I wouldn't buy an iCandy without a warranty but like I said I have had no problems and I love the Peach :)

Tiggywunkle · 20/10/2011 20:55

I would love to see the Pinto. The basket is apparently enormous and has a liner so that you can pull your shopping straight out in the bag which I think is fab :)

aswellasyou · 20/10/2011 21:07

The JL Pinto's basket is huge. I've never noticed a liner. I saw a normal Pinto in real life the other day. I think the fabrics on the JL ones are much nicer.

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 20/10/2011 21:13

yes,yes re the houses, the second is def better turned out,i LOVE that kitchen, but isnt in the best school catchment and has 2 beds instead of 3,so we are hoping we will love the 1st enough to put a bit of work into it,plus i love the open plan downstairs and the upstairs bathroom in no2.....house buying is confusing!

im thinking a BJCM might be a more practical option....although i might get a vista at some point,i really cant afford £500+ right now i dont know why,but ive never considered an icandy, weird.Confused

Tiggywunkle · 20/10/2011 21:14

Monkeys - I have just been checking out the Vista stats and spotted that there are four recline positions. I could only get three parent and three outward facing earlier - I tried on purpose to check I knew how many there were. Has yours got three or four? I don't have a true lie flat one either ie frame horizontal. It's flattish but at an angle. The Peach and Chameleon both go completely horizontal. Am I missing something?

Tiggywunkle · 20/10/2011 21:15

Every buggy addict should try a Peach [wunk]

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 20/10/2011 21:19

[wunk]Wink

thisisyesterday · 20/10/2011 21:20

i like the first house more. it has a whole extra bedroom for less money!
the second one is nice, but i think you are paying for it to look like a showhome, whereas with the first one you could just make it your own iyswim?

thisisyesterday · 20/10/2011 21:21

although i notice it's a cellar/third bedroom!

is it actually underground? would be great as a buggyroom playroom!
