anyone like looking at houses? im going to see two tomorrow...wanna see?!

fairimum · 20/10/2011 11:04

I am 5'2 and find the vista fine - the handle is higher than others i have had but i got used to it very quickly and now find i walk better with it!

I ahve the ganoosh footmuff (is SO lovely!!) and the snack tray which is fab!! :)

Tiggywunkle · 20/10/2011 11:25

Houses sound lovely :) Do share!

It's nice to see you back and chatting Frigg :)

As for your dilemma Frigg - I think I am becoming immune to pushchairs. For rear facing I like the Peach and Chameleon. I am not convinced by the Vista. I am struggling to fault it either though. Its just my personal preference. For outward facing it's a City Mini for me - I am still waiting for my 4 wheeler though :(

Do get one bought Suzie :) Make the phone call if that's the right one. I have to say for me warranties are worth a lot but you never know whether you will have a problem or not. But as with the US pushchairs you can return those back to the US for warranty repairs.

suzie38 · 20/10/2011 12:00

Bugger, JL are chasing up the Cosmo Xari so i'd best wait till they sort it out...Don't want them ordering one in and i don't need it...Just hope it doesn't take 3-6 weeks like Solihull said...Lots of houses Frigg, i love looking at them...Get very jealous of people moving when we're not now...My US pushchairs i've invalidated the warrenties by importing over here, says it in the instructions booklet.

Tiggywunkle · 20/10/2011 12:08

Really? My Contours has just got back from the US after repair. Another just says the warranty is invalid outside the US - I read that as a UK distributor wouldn't fix it but that you could return it to the US for repair.

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 20/10/2011 12:17

jl won't order in with out payment and if they did tough, when i asked they could not give me a exact date, i would get one from cr, jl don't really know when they have them coming in, did they not tell me aug/sept and we are now almost in november!!!!

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 20/10/2011 12:18

its only a phonecall do it and do it now!!!!! Grin

suzie38 · 20/10/2011 12:22

I can't confirm the Orbit as i no longer have it...Bumbleride is for a year and it's at my expense to send it back so not something i'd fancy doing...Mind you when i tried logging the warrenty card online it wouldn't let me do it...Then i forgot...Still haven't registered my Dyson or car's Diamond Brite either.

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 20/10/2011 12:23

is it not costly sending pushchairs to the us for repair! when i ordered my joovy i have to say, i bought thinking i would not be covered for repairs and crossed my fingers everything would be alright, but the joovy was very cheap when i bought it, the exchange rate was someting like almost 2 dollars to the pound back then. so not too much of a gamble, a bit different when spending alot though

MonkeyJuice · 20/10/2011 12:30

fairmum what is the lining like on your ganoosh? I think mine is older stock - it's got a lamby/fleecy looking cream lining - which is almost slightly sparkly! I'm wondering what the newer ones are like close up.
This week DS has been in his snowsuit - so I've not got a footmuff on as then he'd be too hot. He likes to get out and walk on our way home, hence the snowsuit.

suzie38 · 20/10/2011 12:41

Called CR who initially said 'no we can't sell directly' until i said that someone had got one that way...She's going to speak to the MD about it, as they have them in stock because of the Baby Show...Should get a call back later on...Meanwhile JL called while i was on the phone and left a message and said it should be sorted tomorrow as it's a systems error...But JL messed up my replacement Donkey handle and it took me chasing it up to finally get the handle, even though it had been in their stockroom over 2 weeks as Bugaboo basically sent it out the same day, and the first time JL tried sorting the handle, they messed up and no issue had been logged with Bugaboo the first time...So i don't have a lot of confidence in JL at the moment.

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 20/10/2011 12:51

yes, i got a phone call back. i am sure they will sell one to you, and if they have them in stock, you should get it next week. the lady i spoke to jl bluewater was very helpful and bent over backwards to help me and find the info out, just depends who helps, some people are helpful, some just are not and its like they are doing you a huge favour rather than just doing their job, i have to say dp has often smiles and says, oh sorry to put you out, i thought you worked here. Smile when staff have huffed and puffed because you have asked them to find something out for you.

fairimum · 20/10/2011 13:18

my ganoosh is hte new new one and is more like cuddle fleece, DS LOVES it - which is why I wanted the newer one! the inside is very similar (although not'quite' as soft) to the inside of the quinny foot muffs!

suzie38 · 20/10/2011 15:06

Bought a Xari Cosmo from CR...And they've dropped in price to £799 so saved £51 and only £22 more than the Babytrader one...It should arrive with Citylink on Monday and being the school holidays i can swap my Monday job to Tuesday instead...Bet JL are still selling at £850 so think i'll ring and tell them to stop chasing things up.

Tiggywunkle · 20/10/2011 15:31

Hurray and congratulations Suzie. I bet the Cosmo is beautiful. CR are so lovely :) I can't wait to hear how you find it.

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 20/10/2011 15:44

thats great suzie, bet you can not wait, i will be away next week, but will catch up the week after, and fab news about the price too. Smile

aswellasyou · 20/10/2011 16:22

Frigg, show us the houses!!!!!! I love looking at houses. Grin

Tiggy, I agree about sometimes pushchairs just not feeling right even though you don't know why. I'm like that with the BJCM.

Monkey, Shock at your son wearing a snowsuit. I haven't put a coat on myself or my daughter for weeks! I think it might be nearly time though. Sad I want a snowsuit for myself this winter.Wink

suzie, GrinThanksGrin How exciting!!! And especially with the price reduction! Are you going to buy the footmuff too? Did you ask them about the all black one at all? I'm intrigued as to when they start selling either the cosmo or black ones properly. Are you going to sell your Donkey to Tiggy now?

suzie38 · 20/10/2011 16:36

She did ask if i wanted a footmuff but i have 3 already that are Bugaboo customs so i'm sure they'll be fine on the Xari...DD is almost 2 1/2 so at the age were footmuffs aren't needed quite so much as a younger toddler...If the Bugaboo one doesn't seem great fitted then i'll give them a call back...Totally forgot about the all black one but i didn't want a red seat pad, and Prams says the pink one can't be sold over here...Will decide on the Donkey once the Xari has arrived but as i said before i can't justify 2 expensive pushchairs that don't get tons of use.

aswellasyou · 20/10/2011 16:49

They do sell the seatpad in black too, although I think that would blend in too much on the all black. But you wanted the cosmo anyway, so it doesn't matter. I'm seriously excited and I'm not even going to see it!HmmBlush

aswellasyou · 20/10/2011 16:56

I've just noticed that the seller of the [http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230687044006?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 [Xari on eBay]] rejected an offer of £750! What's that all about?!

aswellasyou · 20/10/2011 16:56

Oops!

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 20/10/2011 17:30
