Okaaaaay, new thread, new addictions, newly hammered bank accounts abound.

Wow, lucky her :) I need to win a few 99p pushchairs. I am aiming for an Oyster and a Mura in a few weeks time :)

Tiggywunkle · 16/10/2011 21:19

Seriously though would you hand over 99p or offer more???

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 16/10/2011 21:21

i would send dp [hgrin]

suzie38 · 16/10/2011 21:30

Mind you they were given it by a friend so never bought it themselves but i think i'd give a little more just to help cover the listings costs.

ToysRLuv · 16/10/2011 21:42

Easywalker looks good, but probably slightly too bulky and on the expensive side even on e-bay.. Hmm..

99p pushchair! But then again just got rid of two to the charity shops (the poor women who will be saddled with the godawful Mirage and the annoying Liteway..), so can't justify buying something just because it's cheap. Have now the Vigour to stash away too (in case we ever have another DC).. Need a bigger house for all this crap!

ToysRLuv · 16/10/2011 21:55

Had a look at at the zia+, and although am not too keen on it otherwise (looks a bit rickety, like the original), the handle height is adjustable.. anyone know whether it's high enough?

thisisyesterday · 16/10/2011 22:42

i'll probably pay by paypal that way no awkward handing over of £1 coin!

toysrluv would you be interested in a bjcmicro? have one in lime green that i might be selling...

TruthSweet · 17/10/2011 09:29

TIY - if the offer of borrow/buy of the Bebecar was aimed at me then thank you very much. I'd pay petrol costs of course Grin

I actually looked at that one and decided that Ashford was too far for DH to drive after the Leatherhead disaster Wink so we went to the ILs instead yesterday.

The Britax Vigour 4+ that was for sale in Worthing was a lemon too - I rang up but missed the seller then she left a message on my phone saying it was £30 now (was advertised at £50) as the pushchair clip on one side was broken but Britax would fix for £45. Bit steep and DH just rolled his eyes at the thought of another broken pushchair. Weirdly the advert made no mention of the broken seat @@@

thisisyesterday · 17/10/2011 09:46

have also won a silvercross wayfarer light which looks rather nice.
have e-mailed both sellers to see when I can pick up.

TruthSweet · 17/10/2011 09:53

You get all the luck! The Wayfarer and the Bebecar are very nice looking prams. And all for £21!

thisisyesterday · 17/10/2011 10:02

let's not forget the cost of diesel to go and get them though lol. although still a bargain even bearing that in mind.

now how to hide them from dp...

TruthSweet · 17/10/2011 10:13

True - DH was moaing about the £7 we paid to get/return the Trophy Air plus what we spent on the Tesco picnic that included Krispy Kremes Blush

aswellasyou · 17/10/2011 13:08

I see there's a new version of the Britax B-Dual coming out next year. The back wheels are now foam filled, which should make it even better to push. But I prefer air tyres Britax! Are you not listening? I want air tyres on all your pushchairs please. Thankyou! Grin

aswellasyou · 17/10/2011 13:10

Silver Cross are listening though. They've put air tyres on the Surf. And it's got a bigger basket too.

Tiggywunkle · 17/10/2011 13:28

I am soooo excited that I don't know where to start. The Twingo and Rumble seat have arrived on the same day and I don't know which to choose to unpack to take to the shops!!!! I really want to try the Twingo but if I take the Vista then I can get into the shop I need to go into. But if I take the Twingo then I have an excuse to go back tomorrow and try the Vista out. Both are really exciting! I need to o and find the scales for DD though for the rumble seat!

aswellasyou · 17/10/2011 13:46

How exciting Tiggy! I was starting to think the Rumble seat was an urban myth. Wink I think I'd take the Vista seen as you've been waiting so long, but I'm still interested to find out about the Twingo. So hurry up and go out so we can hear about whichever you choose! Grin

fairimum · 17/10/2011 14:38

ooo looking forward to the rumble seat review!! not that she needs it but my 3.5 year old is 14.9kg.... just incase we ever have another baby..... the vista carrycot is SO lovely would love to use it!

mummyistheword · 17/10/2011 14:39

Hi I'm interrupting the chat but help me please? Been on here before and always get god buggy wisdom! I want a new p and teds sport,,,,the old version not new explorer, kiddisave sold out, mothercare has them I think but still 370 so would needndisc code??! Budget nearer 320 to Inc doubles kit....not asking much then? don't really need double hut love the push of thebteds andbjust had a horrendous experience with huge faulty mountain buggy urban jungle, like the back seat of sport for my shopping! Help appreciated! Or other suggestions? Need three wheeler in case of snow with lots storage.

MonkeysPunk · 17/10/2011 14:59

I would not buy a Phil and teds personally as I am not a fan of their build quality. The ultimate snow pram would be the babyjogger summit xc.
For shopping i would recommend the uppababy vista.

Tiggywunkle · 17/10/2011 15:26

I am still debating - and wishing DS would finish his feed so I can unpack boxes! DH needs me to go in the shop with the narrow door...which means taking the Vista. But I need to weigh DD first. If she's too heavy for the Rumble seat then I don't see me seriously being able to take the Vista on a long run. I don't want the baby post feed hidden in case he's sick (he can be very sick at any time) and DDs feet are too long to have them facing with her on top. Come on baby...hurry up and drink!!! The Valco wheel should be in the box too...that's one for EBay then! But I have someone who wanted to see it because they need a triple and I wanted to show them the type of fold (mine is the single with toddler seat). Maybe I should give the Valco another try first too....it's going to be a busy week here trying everything out.

Tiggywunkle · 17/10/2011 18:05

I took the Twingo - simply because DH was trying to work and the Vista needed digging out. Plus DD is wayyy over the 15.8kg limit for the Rumble seat and DS wasnt properly winded and I daren't risk not being able to see him and I think it needs some playing with at home to see whether I dare put DD in the rumble seat first!
But the Twingo (stroll air lookalike) is fantastic!!!! DH and I had a real battle with the harnesses because they are very short - for the first time DD went out with a three point harness and bumper bar but she was facing me and 3years old and secure. I couldn't put a cost toes on even the baby though and the liners won't remove :( BUT that aside I absolutely love this Pushchair!!!! And I am not a huge fan of side by sides! Within a minute of leaving the house DD said 'This is such fun' followed by 'I like seeing you mummy'! That sold it to me without other things like a huge hood, easy brake, massive shopping basket with pickets in, easy recline, flat fold etc. It's not perfect - the hoods are not a thick fabric but it's freezing and windy today and DD hasn't complained - they seem just thick enough IYKWIM. The seats aren't wide but I could get my hand down either side of DD and she has bags of head and leg room. DD didn't like being semi reclined but giving her the three point harness meant she could sit upright. It's sturdy. Non adjustable handle but it's at a perfect height for me and it's comfy to hold. I have no back ache after walking which is a good sign. I love choosing which way the children face. On the spot it feels heavy to turn (almost all doubles do, but pushing along was fab. One of the lighter side by sides. I love it! I am trying to work out if I can justify keeping it though. It's not really an off roader and my other side by sides are. It won't fit through one important shop door...but I love this Pushchair. I have to say I am seriously contemplating raiding the piggy bank for a Donkey....

suzie38 · 17/10/2011 18:11

There's twin Donkey new on eBay today.

Tiggywunkle · 17/10/2011 19:03

I know :( It's too far away for me :(

ToysRLuv · 17/10/2011 22:10

Thisisyesterday: Thanks for the offer, but I need something a bit more off-roady, although maybe not a full on off-roader.. Thinking about a Nipper 360 now.. How huge is it folded? is it realistically something you can take on a bus?

Tiggywunkle · 17/10/2011 22:15

Puff, pant! DH has gone out so I seized the opportunity in between bedtimes to rearrange about ten pushchairs and their boxes and to dig the Vista out of the back of the room, and then loaded everything back in and got the foot shut lololol The baby gave me just enough time to get the box open and the chassis etc out. I haven't put it up but I actually feel quite excited. I didn't expect to like the Vista but the chassis is quite beautiful - it reminds me of the Kobi. The wheels are very similar - they are like hard wheels with rubber on (is there a name for these?). The box weighed an absolute ton so I was gobsmacked when the light as a feather chassis emerged!
I have the Denny red one - all the photos make it look really metallic but it's actually really pretty. I am looking forward to setting it up tomorrow. The Rumble seat has a hood which I didn't expect, and a five point harness.
