Thanks TIY - how many people are you pram spotting for now? Mind you I got excited telling my pg friend about best buggy as she's on a search for a god double. Her DH did glaze over slightly!!

TruthSweet · 15/10/2011 21:44

ahem - good double

Tiggywunkle · 15/10/2011 21:48

The last buggy board I used decided to fall apart going up a kerb in France. I wasn't impressed as I watched the wheel roll away! I haven't had one since.
Lol re staring at pushchairs. I snuck up up to the lady on holiday later on with a BB card and quizzed her about her lovely blue beastie.
I have won the Urbo tonight. I took the Peach out as a parent facing single today and fell in love all over again. It's a gorgeous pushchair Smile
The Rumble seat was in Leeds this morning. It's going to be an exciting week - I should have 5 or 6 new pushchairs to play with :) Tomorrow we have to clear the house to make room. Plus the Valco wheel is in the Rumble seat box.

Tiggywunkle · 15/10/2011 22:49

Totally off topic but Look at this!!

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 15/10/2011 23:08

lol, kids pack your bags, you're living at the bottom of the garden, great value just for the peace and quiet [hgrin]

Tiggywunkle · 15/10/2011 23:13

Hubby says for that price it needs it's own toilet plumbed in. But you can have under floor heating, plasma etc lolol

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 15/10/2011 23:16

stuff the kids, i'm moving into it [hgrin]

MonkeysPunk · 16/10/2011 06:50

Wow that playhouse is amazing! Love it, its like something from wisteria lane!
There's a nice landrover double buggy on ebay atm. I can't link as on my mobile but should be easy to find.

thisisyesterday · 16/10/2011 14:38

well, i was looking for something for myself, to replace the bjcmicro but dp has fixed the punctures on my i'coo and abc buggy and so I am using them atm instead. not really lightweight buggies tho, either of them!

anyway, i was watching this for myself. have put a bid on, but am out when it ends tonight. if I get it, and it's ok then you're welcome to borrow/buy it from me Grin

suzie38 · 16/10/2011 14:45

Fingers crossed you get it...Too far for me to pick up or borrow [hgrin] I've always fancied a Bebecar as they generally have very soft suspension...I've put off buying the Xari again so might go into JL with DD on Wednesday and order it...DH was using the Donkey this morning and got stopped in Tesco by a lady wanting to know all about it...I'd be sad to see it go [hsad]

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 16/10/2011 14:56

suzie, why can you not keep both for the time being.

like my new name [hgrin]

suzie38 · 16/10/2011 15:16

Lol@ your name Prams!!! But it's nearly £2000 worth of pushchairs for a toddler and i don't use them enough as it is...I took all the wheels off the Donkey this morning, and it's still a massive beast folded because of the handle widthplus a right faff if you had to do frequently...I'm hoping when the Xari's folded with back wheels and seat unit off, it'll fit in the car ok...Can you fold it with the handle straight??? The bent handle appears to make quite a deep fold and i'm guessing you do it that way so it free stands...If i can do it straight it'll probably fit perfectly behind the passenger seat though i guess it'll have to go in the boot in certain parking situations as i don't fancy being broke into, so some bozo can steal it.

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 16/10/2011 15:25

yes, handle can be kept straight, but don't think it would make any difference, but then mine never gets folded, as it takes up just as much floor space, so i just push it under my stairs. [it never goes in the car, but then neither do i that often]. would jl let you try it in your boot, if you pulled up in their pick up point!!!!
i need to think up a christmas name next!!!!! [hgrin]

suzie38 · 16/10/2011 15:36

My JL doesn't sell them so i've got to go along with your codes as i lost the ones Solihull JL gave me...Don't think DH will want another trip there and i'm too worried i'll get lost to go on my own and i find train journeys with DD too stressful unless i have no choice, even though in reality she's pretty well behaved.

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 16/10/2011 15:58

i forget not all jl have them!!! theres a xari on ebay, but once you add postage its the same price as a new one, although you do get a footmuff, but still a bit high for a second hand one with marks!!!

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 16/10/2011 15:59

although you could put in a cheeky offer [hgrin]

suzie38 · 16/10/2011 16:11

Not seen that one...I'll go and have a nosey.

suzie38 · 16/10/2011 16:12

My sister lives in Oldham.

suzie38 · 16/10/2011 16:14

To be honest i'd be better off buying that Polish one if it got listed again or buy a brand new one from Europe for around £770...But buying brand new from JL makes an issues easier to sort out.

Tiggywunkle · 16/10/2011 20:26

Would Cheeky Rascals deal with you direct?
Did you win that 99p pushchair thisisyesterday? If so you got the bargain of the year!
I picked the Urbo up earlier and it is gorgeous to look at. I hope I get to try it soon but I am not sure when. I have a busy week of photographing ahead of me. I hope it stays dry. We took two car loads to the dump today but the Croozer is finally in the shed :) and I have room for the new pushchairs :)

ToysRLuv · 16/10/2011 20:41

A big hello to everyone who remembers me from a few threads ago!

Dammit [hgrin] here we are again..

Love my Nuna and DS does too. In fact, he screams if I suggest going out in the Vigour now.. [hsad] I love my Vigour.

Anyway, we have now employed a part time nanny who is tall, so we need something that is better for her to push (the Nuna is just about right for me, but handle height could be higher for absolute comfort). Have kind of settled on the dreaded BJCM, because of light weight, folding thingy, etc. Damn, I really don't want a bloody BJCM. But have a feeling that DS would like it more than a MB Swift (because presumably he can climb in and out of it easier, which is why I think he dreads the high seat on the Vigour), which is kind of my holy grail..

Dammit, dammit.. knew I'd be back here after all! [hblush]

Also, cannot justify spending any more on pushchairs to DH.. Oh, what's new..

Tiggywunkle · 16/10/2011 20:57

Lol. Welcome back. If it helps the Swift has a very low handle. I gobsmacked a sales assistant the other week when she tried to tell me how tall the Swift handle was, and I simply pointed to the Swift and it's handle even at highest was several inches lower than anything we could see in the show room!

ToysRLuv · 16/10/2011 21:05

Lol indeed.. I'm incurable [hblush] Oh.. that's strange about the Swift. Thanks for telling me Tiggy! Hmm, I guess that's out of the question then.. There goes my holy grail. Is there anything nuna/mb swift/BJCMish that has a high handle and is easyish to climb into and that isn't s mclaren? And is cheap and perfect in every way?[hgrin]

Tiggywunkle · 16/10/2011 21:12

Hmm...the Baby Jogger Elite? An Urban Jungle (but long folded). I am loving my Easywalker Qtro but it's maybe too big a pushchair for you? Or there is the Sky. But the Qtro is fabulous. But I suspect these are too 'off road' / large for you?

suzie38 · 16/10/2011 21:13

Yes she did get the pushchair for 99p because i was watching it...Can't say no to 99p!!! If i get the Xari, the only other pushchairs i'd buy would be the dirt cheap ones from charity sops or car boot sales especially if there's a chance i can sell them on, after a play with them first.
