Okaaaaay, new thread, new addictions, newly hammered bank accounts abound.

Cool, I'd heard they'd been sat on the Yezz for quite a while and then the Quicksmart was on Dragons Den so they sat on it a bit longer

Oh god so you''ve had like 3 hours sleep?

OP posts:
pramsgalore · 24/09/2011 10:20

i am not keen on the promenade, but then i don't like the doubles that stack one on top of the other [like the kobi] more when 2 carrycots are on, i do like the look of the bubble, even though i don't tend to go near small pushchairs, it looks rather cool, all of these will be too late for me though as dd4 is almost 3, so in a years time i will be using my wagons all the time, so i need to research some cool wagons!!!
well done tiggy, you could work for mI5 with your undercover skills Grin, make sure you have one of those power sleeps today!!!!!

Tiggywunkle · 24/09/2011 11:31

Lol no chance of a power sleep - I have the dentist in a bit. I wanted to go on a pram playing session but as suspected hubby didn't realise it would be a 5 hour outing. He has said I can go but he's not 100% so I may have to come back after.
I am interested in the June coming out so soon. I hadn't twigged the off road tyres which give it an edge. I love Easywalkers because the quality is superb - really well made and thought through and look great too. We have a UK distribution issue though but I hear that is being worked on so fingers crossed.
I really don't see the Yezz not happening now....it looks too finished etc. I really want one because we are using the surf several times a week for swimming etc where we need to either put something small in a locker or else under a seat or in a small space.
The Phil & Teds Promenade is right up my street. I will be interested to hear the seat weight limits on it. They are usually good on a P&T plus the fixings look sturdy and there are vague similarities with the Verve. The one negative I read was with the fold but I couldn't really work out why ie whether it was hard to do or simply large. I am expecting the latter to some degree simply based again on the other P&T products, wheel size etc. and what can be seen. I really hope it can take one or even two car seats in double mode - being a P&Ts I would be surprised if it didn't. I am not sure about the stacking carrycots but that's a compromise as with the Kobi. It's fab to see the Promenade though.

pramsgalore · 24/09/2011 11:47

would that be a play at kiddicare or is there another one with lots of prams to play with look at and stroke Grin

Tiggywunkle · 24/09/2011 12:24

A large independent shop - it's our nearest big one at 3 hours round trip - and I can't justify it really. There's nothing specific I want to see other than the Nipper V2 and I don't know if they have it in stock, and I have seen it before.

MonkeysPunk · 24/09/2011 22:25

Flamin eck! How'd this thread get so long so fast?
I've had a lovely few days emptying junk out of cupboards and getting rid of things! I've a lot of reorganising to do, and am hoping to get some painting/ decorating done before Xmas if possible.
I've also walked another 36 miles....not sure how much cartilige is left on my knees. Feels like its wearing off. Driving test in a few weeks. Two rubbish lessons this week. Not sure of my chances of passing. Seriously. :-(
Can't wait for the senzz to arrive. It's probably going to be used mostly in summer occasionally rather than everyday. I still think the modern styling usa really smart even if a squared off handlebar isn't the most ergonomic! It's a buggy I can see people wanting long after its gone out of production because people will admire the fashion statement and styling. Even if it doesn't seem terribly popular right now. I almost want to get one of each colour and hide in the attic to sell 60 years from now.
Although I'll be 100 then! LOL

aswellasyou · 25/09/2011 12:31

You lot talk too much! I'm struggling to keep up while trying to organise my move. My flat's not ready so I'll be commuting 100 miles for 9/10am lectures after dropping Imara at nursery! HmmShock. What I have noticed is the June being out in two weeks. Grin Do we have a price on it yet?

Tiggywunkle · 25/09/2011 19:29

The commute doesn't sound great. I hope you are enjoying Uni though. No news on the June.
I went to the pram shop yesterday. I only had a little play but the Jane Trider seemed nice if a little large. I had quick peek at the B-Agile and it looks great. Apparently the black is standard Britax fabric but the red is more like suede :) I kind of hope I won't prefer the B-Agile but I could well like it more than the BJCM4! Confused
I still love the Swift but the bunching up of the fabric would drive me nutty. I noticed the Duo and Urban Jungle had similar issues with bunching up after being reclined. If you tuck the fabric away then it's really hard to untuck with a child in the seats to recline. The Strawberry was there too. It's gorgeous but I think I prefer the Peach looks but I like some features better on the Strawberry.

saoirse86 · 25/09/2011 19:56

Tiggy I was thinking today, especially after reading your posts on bestbuggy that there should be a programme that's like top gear but for pushchairs! It'd be great to see all these new designs being tested out. I think I'd rearrange my life to make sure I could watch it. Grin

pramsgalore · 25/09/2011 20:02

i would be an avid watcher Grin

Tiggywunkle · 25/09/2011 20:03

That's a great idea :) Can I be the equivalent of Stig and push them around the shops?

saoirse86 · 25/09/2011 20:28

You can do that tiggy.

Then there would be sleb mums come in and talk about which pushchairs they've had, which was they're favourite, which one they want next etc, then they'd have a timed lap round tesco's!

There could be trips to exciting places to test out all terrain pushchairs, trips on the train with 3 different buggies to see which is the best...

This could be my favourite show!

TruthSweet · 25/09/2011 21:45

I have just found out that the Buggypod fits to the EaSyS Jazz.

The answer to my prayers back. DD3 loves to be slung, but she is tricky to get into the (new) wrap sling so her wanting to walk/be slung/walk/be slung is a pain in the arse, my back & sacro region hate her being in the ring sling which is quick to pop on and shove her in.

She has been on the buggy board once Hmm

Anyone know if they are any good or would I just be dropping more money chasing rainbows?

pramsgalore · 25/09/2011 21:56

i have heard they are rubbish, i bought one, but took it back because it was already broken and the lady in the shop said she would have stopped me buying it if she had been in. what about a buggy board she could sit down on, like a pick up board

pramsgalore · 25/09/2011 21:57

one of these

jezebelle · 25/09/2011 22:02

Can i ask which phil and teds is best for a newborn and 11month old ??

Tiggywunkle · 25/09/2011 22:03

Have you seen the new bump rider with the seat on?
I have only heard bad about the Buggypod - talk of it collapsing crossing roads or going up kerbs etc. I would never have one.

Tiggywunkle · 25/09/2011 22:03

No doubt, the Verve for the reclining bottom seat because your two are so close together in age ie both will want to nap.

pramsgalore · 25/09/2011 22:05

yes the verve, the recline is brill on both seats,

TruthSweet · 25/09/2011 22:12

Possibly a Kid-Sit board might fit but she sleeps in the pushchair if given the chance and I'd worry she'd drop off and then drop off Wink.

Pooh, I was hoping it would have been the answer.

At the moment I can't go into town or out with all the DDs or even just with DD2 & DD3 while eldest is at school because if DD3 walks she is off, if she is on the reins she is not walking but rather being dragged along the floor or attempting to dislocate my arm, if she's in the sling she wants down, or to go to sleep (so spends her time headbutting my chestHmm) or she is pointing at DD2 and indicating she wants her to get out so she can ride (apparently the EaSys Jazz is very comfortable).

Not fun at the moment. I'm getting cabin fever and anything to get us out without the 3 ring circus looks good.

Plus I figure if people can see tiny diddy dot DD3 sitting in the buggypod attached to a MAHOOSIVE pushchair with tall DD2 in it they might twig there's a reason for it. Or it might just give them fuel for yet more bile and stupidity Angry

Tiggywunkle · 25/09/2011 22:21

Just to add....I know the buggypod was redesigned for this year...it may be better. But they are something like 30cms wide which makes for a wide pushchair.

TruthSweet · 25/09/2011 22:25

Tiggy - I saw the BuggyPod IO then fainted at the price £150 then you have to pay £60 for the conversion kit then £20-odd for the raincover.....Yeouch!

I'm tempted to get one just to see how crap it is it works for us and expense be damned. Though I think I would get a 2nd hand off Ebay rather than the IO!

thisisyesterday · 25/09/2011 22:32

i keep telling you, you need a mountain buggy Wink

TruthSweet · 25/09/2011 22:42

I haven't found one big enough for DD2. She's only light but very long legged/tall so whilst the seat backs are probably good the leg support won't be.

Unless you know something I don't....
