New thread for buggy collectors! Grin

It is high, I hadn't noticed that. It must have a purpose. I can't work out how it would be for a second seat if it's actually a tandem. I'm really intrigued by it now. I guess that's what they wanted by giving snippets of information!

aswellasyou · 17/09/2011 22:30

Does that bar look thinner here? It doesn't have the possible brake bar, just a loop on the back right wheel. Maybe they've edited it since the prototype in the other photos.

Tiggywunkle · 17/09/2011 22:45

I can't even work out how the seat unit clips on!

aswellasyou · 17/09/2011 22:58

I wonder what the purpose is of the red and black circles that stick out just under the apex. Confused Maybe they're something to do with the seat attachment.
I hope a big store stocks them when they're out so I can go and play with one.

Tiggywunkle · 17/09/2011 23:06

Headlights ;)

Tiggywunkle · 17/09/2011 23:07

Like I said until they get a new UK distributor I doubt we will get the June unless you import it.

aswellasyou · 17/09/2011 23:20

Headlights! Grin But I want to play! Sad Do you know when it's out in The Netherlands?

Tiggywunkle · 17/09/2011 23:39

Only joking! I don't know what they are for! They just look like headlights. I should know more soonish unless anything gets said on Easywalkers FB before.

MonkeysPunk · 18/09/2011 07:45

The days are getting shorter, and there's all sorts of clip on bike lights on amazon that would fasten to our buggies. I may get some for the days when I'm walking through the woods home. Living on the south coast I find it gets dark much earlier here than even in the north of England, where I used to live.
Often the street lamps on the cycle paths are out of order, and if I have my own lights we can use the other trails for wildlife spotting! Plenty of bats, or deer to look out for....though not hoping to see red deer which are rather large, and the stags we avoid!

When i was at the NCT sale yesterday i noticed a lady with a Vigour 3+ and she had a torch attached to the footplate...Said it was her husbands doing...Now the Maclaren Grandtour comes with built in headlights!!! For ages i wanted that pushchair but it's very heavy so thought it might be hard to push...Only one i've seen in person was in the pram shop where i went to look at the Vista in real life before buying elsewhere.

Tiggywunkle · 18/09/2011 11:42

My Babyzen has a headlight and it's very useful now the nights are getting darker. DH often wants a walk to the shop after work and he likes to take one of the children. I have finnnnaaallly sold the Graco and Mutsy chassis, and also the other pushchair. So it's been a good weekend not least because we desperately need room in the garage for the bike trailer (sat in the hall!) and hubby wants to do a long long drive today to Derbyshire to buy an electric bike! But we can only go if the Graco people turn up in the next hour as they requested but haven't confirmed! We just need the Taga to go now! Tons and tons of watchers but only one offer to post to Norway (on a pick up only!!!!!!)!!!!

Tiggywunkle · 18/09/2011 11:43

Hoe did you do at the NCT sale BTW Suzie?

suzie38 · 18/09/2011 15:17

Won't know until they send me the cheque in the next week or so...Thought i'd sold loads out of my 100 items to discover i forgot to take a black bag with around 15 toys inside...Kicking myself!!!

TruthSweet · 18/09/2011 15:21

BJCMD now sold Sad. It's sitting in a box in the dining room waiting for the courier.

Only the BumbleRide Flyer left.....

TruthSweet · 18/09/2011 15:22

Made a profit on it though Grin Not bad for 8 months use!

sillyworriedmama · 18/09/2011 20:25

shatteredmumof5 is not replying to her ad on here for the easywalker, gah! Feeling really peed off today, took the bloody maclaren out to the shops and my back is killing me. I want to sell the cherry but I realise it will go for peanuts, and now I have my heart set on the EW sky and I found one on preloved for £100 only to ring and find out it was sold mere hours before I rang! It feels like an unlucky day. Still on the plus side, DS started walking today - hopped out of the buggy and toddled off in babies r us to go and poke the P&T smart lol :) I have a sinking feeling that he may start refusing the buggy sooner than I thought... he hates sitting in it already at only 14mo. I need to get an offroader asap if I'll get much use out of it!!

sillyworriedmama · 18/09/2011 20:27

ps well done on the profit truth :) I am sitting next to a mountain of used baby bumph waiting for the next carboot/ebay listing sesh. Need to raise funds lol

MonkeysPunk · 18/09/2011 20:30

I would love to see a maclaren grand tour irl. Do you think the wheels have bearings in them? How did the seat size compare to the Vista seat?
Ive been noticing how small some luxury pram seat units are lately. The vista does stand out as having a lot of head and leg room.
I still love to use my vista for everyday school run and grocery shopping. This includes a regular trek through woodland also. I've never seen another Vista in use irl.

BTW, well done all with your pram sales and nct sales. I only have one buggy to list bnow. However I've boxes of other stuff to list on ebay. I'll make a start tomorrow.

SWM - Yay re DS starting to walk. What a shame about the Easywalker. My Qtro has left the retailer. I haven't had chance to track it as yet. I hope I like it. I hope it's as good quality as the Sky Duo. I missed my chance to list stuff today because DH wanted to look at electric bikes 2 and a half hours away! He had a ten minute bike ride, we grabbed a quick bite to feed so that the baby could be fed and came home again!! Crazy!
Truth well done on the profit. I made a profit on my BJCMD too!
I can finally see my babys room again, and importantly I can almost get to the cot! There is hope he may be able to sleep in there one day. I think we are down from 19 pushchairs to about 5 that we are keeping, two are on loan, one is currently on EBay, two leave this week, and three more arrive (two will stay, one will go).

sillyworriedmama · 18/09/2011 20:46

oh well done tiggy!! What a mission, 19!! haha, I will have to tell DH that - my three will pale in comparison :) 2.5 hours to look at bikes is some dedication, did he get one in the end? I am so excited about DS walking. It looks so strange to see him toddle off alone though, makes me a bit emotional really.

suzie38 · 18/09/2011 21:26

MonkeysPunk I didn't take much notice of the Grandtour to be honest because i was so excited to see the Vista in real life...Only has a leg rest so guessing a bigger child would just use the fixed footrest...It's quite wide so guessing the seat unit is...Mind you in America you can buy a Lite seat which is a bucket type, the main one is a lie flat type...I've seen loads of Vista's in West Bridgford, at least 5 and each was a different color...I've got 4 pushchairs on eBay at the moment...Thought i'd got a taker for the Orbit, but she said she couldn't collect for 4 weeks and hasn't hit the BIN yet...Got 7 watchers, but bet most are off here!!! lol

I'm listing some small things tonight as it's free listings weekend but with a catch i think...Starting at £1 but then i'm pretty sure you get charged for relisting...Reading into things last night and it appears £0.01-0.99p listings are free all the time...Well going to test the theory shortly.

Tiggywunkle · 18/09/2011 22:02

Oh it was 2.5 hours one way - so five hours round trip!!! Yes he has decided and can order it this week now. But we tried the school run on the way home and it's tiny narrow country muddy roads which is making me go a bit eeekk! The other option is a very very busy main road which is far worse.
Suzie another forum I am on linked to your listing! Lol
I don't get charged more for relisting but I tend to wait for the next free listings weekend to put things on again. Ebays bulk uploader doesn't work for free listings now which is a pain! I need to list winter clothes etc. But it won't be this month now.

suzie38 · 18/09/2011 22:34

My 99p listings are all free which is great so i now don't have to wait for free listings weekends for most things i sell Smile Tiggywunkle that's why so many people have looked at it...I expected not much interest being such an obscure pushchair over here...Can you let me know the forum or pm me...Thanks.

Tiggywunkle · 18/09/2011 22:47

I will PM you but there's also a lot of Orbit fans on Best Buggy's Facebook page. That's where I first heard about it because when asked about what was the dream pushchair, several people said the Orbit!
