Have you checked the price of the bdual at tesco with their 25% off? Or at mothercare, using code en84 for an extra 10% off?

OP posts:
Honeydragon · 14/08/2011 22:48

or red b dual and black second seat is 282 at tesco direct?

Honeydragon · 14/08/2011 22:49

x post with Monkey Grin

oooh and you get anothe £5 off over £50 spend at tesco so even less.

Tiggywunkle · 14/08/2011 22:53

Try a Baby Jogger Elite :) I love the adjustable handlebar on that. Is the B-Agile handlebar fixed? I think is.

Honeydragon · 14/08/2011 22:55

Tiggy - stoppit!

aswellasyou · 14/08/2011 22:59

We're going to get it in purple, but thanks for the suggestions. The cheapest we've found so far is £359. I tried to get Lullaboo Baby's 5% off code to work on Friday before it was supposed to expire but it already had. I also joined TAMBA who do a 10% off code there but I still can't see it on their site.HmmSad I'm paranoid that I'll buy it and five seconds later Boots will issue a 10% off code!

aswellasyou · 14/08/2011 23:01

Honey, I missed your previous post. We'd already looked at that one and found a second seat for £98 but we definitely want the purple, although the price was very tempting.

suzie38 · 15/08/2011 10:05

Awww...My Orbit appears to be stuck at Castle Donington so looks like it will be arriving tommorrow after all Sad Mind you it might mean the accessories box catches up and i get them both together.

aswellasyou · 15/08/2011 10:18

suzie, aren't you tempted to make a trip to Castle Donnington to retrieve it?Grin Even I'm getting excited!

suzie38 · 15/08/2011 10:32

Might be on the airport campus so i wouldn't be able to get near it...DH sure it'll arrive today but i think it'll go to the local Nottingham depot before it comes to me...And i'm home all day today...If it arrives before 12 noon tomorrow then nobody will be in, to welcome it to it's new home!!!

Tiggywunkle · 15/08/2011 10:33

It's frustrating when it's so near! My Valco should arrive today. I am intrigued.

MonkeysPunk · 15/08/2011 12:51

My plum bjcm has arrived. I love the colour, is not too girly for a boy at all. It's a v deep shade of purple.

This model seems better quality than the last one I had. It has the back board and sit up tabs. I think I want to get the matching footmuff now as I love the colour and matching will look really smart.
It's way easier to push than the maclarens...wish I hadn't got those now. Volo is unused! Will sell as new.
Next time I look at a maclaren some one shake me to my senses....I know you all tried to tell me. They look good but I really dont like to push them!

OP posts:
suzie38 · 15/08/2011 12:59

Happy you've got yours already...Not bitter at all about mine getting stuck...stupid UPS I'd love a BJCM but i know the handle height would really annoy me.

suzie38 · 15/08/2011 13:01

testing

5inthebed · 15/08/2011 13:08

Right ladies, not been on this thread since the first one, but need to pick your brains.

Need a pram for DS3 (duh) and not ure what to get. Want something smallish, prefer bigger wheels, air tyres optional. He is tall for 2.9 yrs old, an need to be able to push it one handed. Bought a 4 wheel zapp, but he is just too tall for it :( . Is Micralite my only option? Had a Mac XT, but found it too heavy with him in it.

TIA.

aswellasyou · 15/08/2011 13:13

Welcome back. I don't know about pushchairs for tall children-my daughter's tiny! Was it you who stole bought the Quinny Zapp 4 from the For Sale board then?!ShockGrin

5inthebed · 15/08/2011 13:16

Yes that was me Smile. Have sold it on now as no use to me, DH not impressed.

All my DC are tall, serves me right for marrying a 6'4 giant. I am only 5'5" and Ds1, aged 8, is already at my shoulders. Grin

Honeydragon · 15/08/2011 13:29

my friend swears by her bjcm, her 3 yr is tall (4-5 clothes) and the back is plenty high enough?

Honeydragon · 15/08/2011 13:30

she also swears at the bjcm because shes only 5 foot and hates the handle Wink

FriggFRIGG · 15/08/2011 13:47

You NEED A bjcm Grin

MonkeysPunk · 15/08/2011 13:47

I'm 5'7" and LOVE the handle height on the BJCM - I found the XLR handles a bit uncomfortable on all but the shortest outings - and I find the Mac XLR quite heavy to push with DS (age 3 - not big - wears 2-3y clothing just now). The seat back isn't v tall on the XLR (or any maclarens!).
The seat back on the BJCM is really tall in comparison and has a v nice layback and large hood.
I think the BJCM takes up less storage space and is faster and easier to fold than the Maclaren XLR. I also have an -unused- volo that I cannot contemplate trying to manage an outing with as it's got NO suspension, No layback (I know - I knew these things before I bought the volo - but supposed I could do an outing with it as many others do no probs - but I cannot bring myself to even try) I think that DS would not be comfy - and be unhappy - and then the whole day would be ruined by whining and crying instead of him being his usual happy -cossetted- self! Smile
You could easily fit a 5y old in the BJCM! It's a small buggy -but the seat back has plenty of space. Your child also sits nicely in the BJCM - DS always looks like he's perched on the edge of a sill in the XLR - and if I recline a little to try and make him more relaxed he goes nuts! He can get his feet on the floor from the XLR - and touch the wheels with his feet too - he can't in the BJCM. He just sits v nicely in the BJCM.
If I were to change anything about the BJCM I would put suspension on the rear wheels - as it is the suspension on the front wheel is helpful though - it works quite well and is better than none at all. It's more an urban pram but can handle some minor/moderate terrain due to the nice big wheels.
It's a great pram to take on public transport or on holiday and for shopping. The quality is lovely. Nice fabrics - nicely finished - safe to use - lovely harness nice basket beneath seat and another rear of the seat and it's durable enough for everyday - you can add a parent console or side clip on change bag to it also. You can even add a bumper bar or play tray.

It's also on the Tesco website in the lovely crimson colourway with 25% off using their code (displayed in the baby toddler section) at checkout.

MonkeysPunk · 15/08/2011 13:49

BJCM's should be government issue at birth! Grin

OP posts:
Tiggywunkle · 15/08/2011 14:35

I agree...if every other pushchair got removed the BJCM (or maybe the Elite for the adjustable handle) should be the one left as the Hobsons choice :) They are both simply fabulous. I had an 11 year old in the Elite and could still get the hood up - (for fun I must add!). The Valco is here but unopened as yet. It should get to come to the shops with me later. I have Fiiiiiinnnaaaaalllyyy got the hood correct on the ABC toddler seat after the lovely Phil Green helped me - he is sooo courteous and a pleasure to speak to. I am still having cosytoes nightmares....arrghh! I had settled on plain black Buggysnuggles until I remembered I have a cream Persian cat! Not a good idea! I keep looking at this one but browns aren't really my colour..but the iCandy Peach is brown rather than black. I phoned round a pile of shops this morning who didn't help much...

FriggFRIGG · 15/08/2011 14:43

how about the 'autumn leaves' one??it will go with th black duet(as black is the background colour) and the brown icandy.its my favouriteGrin

FriggFRIGG · 15/08/2011 14:44

the ladybugs one is pretty cool too,my DD would LOVE it!
