This is as imaginative as I get!Wink
Frigg, my Mum works for the City Council doing disability adaptations to resident's houses. She goes to assessments with an OT, decides on adaptations needed, designs them, draws up plans, applies for planning permission and oversees the work. She's been in the same job since she was 18 so she's learnt a lot about all sorts of dsabilities along the way.

FriggFRIGG · 24/07/2011 18:04

YY corse i willSmile

Tiggywunkle · 24/07/2011 18:07

Ooohh really :) My concern is that it is very long which may mean a) it may not fit in your dads car and b) it could cost a small fortune to post...
The pushchair is only 10kgs so it shouldn't be extortionate...? Shall I go fo it and we thrash it out later or do yu think it may not fit in your dads car? Between us I am sure we will find a cheapish courier?

FriggFRIGG · 24/07/2011 18:11

yeah it fit in my dads car,he got an ikea double bed frame in there once!Grin
im sure i can figure out a courier from somewhere!

Tiggywunkle · 24/07/2011 18:12

I am quite impressed at getting a bargain for once. I missed out on one the other day and usually I end up paying too much for things. it's going to be a heck of a week here ...I have had a clear out and tidy up in preparation! Let's hope the sun shines so I get get out and about and take photos. Suzie do you get free panniers with your Orbit? Frigg what did you do about your harness? aswellasyou did you like the Contours? I dont remember you saying much about it?

FriggFRIGG · 24/07/2011 21:42

im awaiting news from the seller,he is trying to contact the guys he bought it from,in Amsterdam ,he believes it should have been included and is trying to get them to send me one....
i will know more tuesday.
meanwhile,im using a combination of the micralite harness, the bumperbar, luck and bribes to keep DD in the seat Grin

even with all that,i still just love it!
normally id be really annoyed with it,and id probably have bought another by now!!

FriggFRIGG · 24/07/2011 21:43

Oh and that ABC was a total bargain!
i always look at them and think they look fab,but they normally go for £300ish!!

suzie38 · 24/07/2011 21:47

No i didn't realise i could...Can't see anything on the site about them...But i might see if i can buy the toddler car seat as it rear faces for longer plus has a much higher weight forward facing as well...Plus a think i might get a footmuff and i'll ask if it's possible for him to get a grape color pack.

suzie38 · 24/07/2011 21:53

The panniers remind me of the basket on the side of the Donkey.

FriggFRIGG · 24/07/2011 21:57

i like those panniers!they look brilliant!

i am starting to get a twitch of wanting for a bugaboo Donkey...only if £1,0000 fell into my lap though....i wouldnt sell the mima for one.Wink

aswellasyou · 24/07/2011 22:01

Everything's so happy on here!Grin Frigg/Tiggy, you've just opened up so much possibility with getting pushchairs from around the country.Wink If anyone ever wants to buy something in Birmingham, I'm your man! I'm getting closer to a Twin Club but very conscious it may not happen.Confused I found an Aprica Cadence I want to buy but can't get a message to the seller because I'm overseas.Hmm
Tiggy, I did write a bit about the Contours but we've only used it twice. Saoirse went on holiday but she's back tomorrow so it'll be out again soon. We actually often don't use a pushchair all day because she picks me up, drives wherever we're going and then we carry the babies a very short distance.
What do you want me to write reviews about Tiggy? The ones I feel I could write about are M&P Pliko Pramette, Silver Cross Halo, Bugaboo Gecko, Maclaren Twin Traveller, Jane Powertwin, Chicco LiteWay and the Contours when I've used it a bit more. Of course, if I ever manage to get a Twin Club, I'll write about that too. I don't know how good my reviews will be but I can try and then you can pretend to lose them.Smile

Don't think i'd do a very good review.

Tiggywunkle · 24/07/2011 22:14

Lol please write about them all :) Just pros and cons are great or a full critique if you prefer ;) Aha I forgot about Saoirse being on holiday. I bet you are missing her! Frigg, I like the panniers too. I think they finish the Orbit off. I hope the man gets the harness sent through for you. Suzie, I hope the seller can get all the bits for you. The grape colour pack sounds lovely. The toddler seat sounds good. Does it transfer onto the pushchair? I need to read all about Orbits.

aswellasyou · 24/07/2011 22:15

Tiggy, I meant to ask your advice-and anyone else who's had a Halo. I've got it on eBay at the moment but I don't think it's going to sell for much. I really like it except for the hard wheels. I'd always thought it was quite bulky but I took off the footmuff, babynest and bag to take photos. It's made a massive difference and seems really small when folded now. Anyway, do you reckon it makes an alright stroller (I'm thinking of getting rid of my Chicco and keeping this) or is it too heavy?

OP posts:
aswellasyou · 24/07/2011 22:19

Oh Tiggy, all of them?!Shock I'll start at the beginning and finish at the end then.
Re Saoirse being away, I am BORED!! You may have noticed I've been on here more than usual in the daytime this week.Wink Imara's bored too, poor baby. However, she's learnt to give kisses, wave and clap this week so maybe it's good that she's had more of my attention!

Tiggywunkle · 24/07/2011 22:27

Yay! I love reading other people's reviews. The problem with Halos at the minute is there is a guy selling them cheap. My suggestion would be to wait until they have all been sold and then the second hand price should go up :) I have to admit I think the Halo is a fab little pushchair but the fact it doesn't freestand is driving us mad! It keeps sliding onto the floor! I like it otherwise to be honest. We have taken it on a few outings where you have to abandon your pushchair ie I wouldn't cry if it got taken and it's been good. The seat is lovely and large. The lack of a basket is a bit grr for me but it's been sturdy enough to hangs bags off the back. As a stroller option, I like it. I dont think it's particularly heavy but then I am used to heavy pushchairs. Yay re Imara learning new things :) I can't wait until my baby doesn't take hours to feed! Its the reason I am here most of the day!

suzie38 · 24/07/2011 22:36

Yes the toddler car seat can fit onto the chassis Smile There is a car seat base but i doubt it would fit our isofix system, not that our Meriva has that anyway...Luckily it can use regular seat belts and looks simple like the Evenflo one, i got off eBay...Don't need really long selt belts that wrap around.

aswellasyou · 24/07/2011 22:38

I'm thinking I could use it when I take her to nursery. I'd be upset if the Gecko got taken despite paying less for it but I like the idea of having a nice comfy pushchair for her. The prambag makes quite a difference for storage and I use bag clips on the handle. I think I'll see if it sells. If not, I'll keep it and be not-so-secretly pleased.Smile

Tiggywunkle · 24/07/2011 23:21

aswellasyou to be honest, its a £250 pushchair, so its not rubbish pushchair at all. But its less likely to get pilfered than a Bugaboo whatever the price you paid for it!! I like the fact the fabric folds inside it, because it stays nice and clean. Its comfy to push too. We took ours on a steam train the other week and it slide nicely into the gap between the seats.
Suzie - so in a nutshell there are two car seats which slide on and off the chassis, plus the main pushchair seat. How do you move the toddler seat? Surely its heavy?
