This is as imaginative as I get!Wink
Frigg, my Mum works for the City Council doing disability adaptations to resident's houses. She goes to assessments with an OT, decides on adaptations needed, designs them, draws up plans, applies for planning permission and oversees the work. She's been in the same job since she was 18 so she's learnt a lot about all sorts of dsabilities along the way.

I like the non-dirtying fabric too.Smile I've always really liked it but I don't use it really now that I have the Gecko. I always use the Chicco when I need a stroller but it's starting to have issues. I'm hoping to get a refund/exchange at BabiesRUs for it. If I do get an exchange, I could sell it and just use the Halo as the stroller. I've been so surprised at how small it is without all the extras attached to it-I have to really squash it to get the latch on with the nest, bag and footmuff attached.

Suzie -

The carseat would use LATCH (Lower Anchors And Tethers - the US version of ISOfix) or a seatbelt install.

However any US carseat no matter how good isn't legal in this country due to the chest clip (all EU car seats have to be one stage to get the child out - chest clips add a 2nd step to that). That's not to say it's unsafe because it isn't but that if you were in an accident and were using a non-legal carseat it may invalidate insurance etc, as you aren't a US citizen on a holiday using a seat from your home country, you imported it with the knowledge it was non-EU regs.

Plus it's not got as high a rfing limit as a TWE, a Multi-tech, a Mobi, Hi-Way or a BeLogic so if you were looking for an extended rfing seat that goes to 25kg/55lbs one of those would be a good buy. If you want rf/ff options then a TWE is a great light seat that is easy to install and will last a long time.

TruthSweet At the moment i rearface DD in a Maxi Cosi Opal and we've got 1.5kg left until i have to turn her around if it's dead on the 13kg mark when you need to do so...Rear facing is important but i'm not sure i want to go into extended rear facing though...What is the TWE, would i google it with those initials??? Thanks for the info Smile

Britax Two Way Elite (sorry! had my carseat board head on Blush). It doesn't
have to be used rfing to 25kg as it forward faces with a harness until 25kg as well.

I have used it rfing for DD1 until she was 4.3y and then switched it around until she was 5 and sensible enough to be booster trained. DD2 who's 3.9y now rides in it rfing though we will probably not switch her round for a while as she has arthritis so I want to give her as much protection as I can.

If you were thinking of rfing until 18kg or so then using a high back booster as Volvo branded Britax Multi-Tech would be a good bet (~£130 at Volvo dealerships) as you can rf to 25kg or hbb from 15kg and it makes a good hbb too (is the same shell as an Evolva).

Just so you know you can get as obsessed about car seats as prams so I'm warning you Wink. I drool over the Sunshine Kids Radians as they have such cute covers but they're US/Canadian seats and I'm not willing to break the law or emigrate just to use a car seat - very tempting though as they are very nice.

HTH

Hmmm...I think I finally qualify as a pushchair addict. Hubby made me count up how many pushchairs are currently in the house...and it was waaayyy too many....plus those coming this week. Shock but the Kobi goes today but the Ergo is out for delivery :o

TruthSweet · 25/07/2011 11:05

I've only got 5 at the moment so I think I'm a lightweight amateur!

Tiggywunkle · 25/07/2011 11:11

I have more three times that amount in the house and one on loan....but I don't own two of them.

Tiggywunkle · 25/07/2011 11:12

Sorry the 'more' shouldn't be there lol

aswellasyou · 25/07/2011 11:31

I only have four.Sad But I'm working on another one as we speak. There's a Twin Club I could buy for ?270 including delivery but I don't want to spend that much. Why won't other people send it to me?! It's usually the even more expensive ones who will ship. I've also had a seller say she'll post hers which is a good price but it doesn't have any hoods.Hmm

Tiggywunkle · 25/07/2011 11:40

That sounds a lot for a twin club? Grr re the one who will send not having hoods. It's always the way!

aswellasyou · 25/07/2011 12:16

It is a lot. It amazes me how much they sell for in France. Why oh why didn't I buy the one in England?

OMG...I am in shock! My Ergo was at East Midlands yesterday and out for delivery today. But my hubby has just announced that my Ultralight has somehow whizzed across the US overnight and has just been delivered first! I am gobsmacked but very happy! So both Joovys should arrive today. Wheeee!!

Tiggywunkle · 25/07/2011 14:36

The Ergo is now here :) It's not as huge boxed as I thought it would be. The Kobi has gone :( :( :( My dilemma now...is do I unbox the Ergo to do a good sized supermarket shop with because it's nice to have new toys, or do I go the sensible route and finish off the trial of the Graco Quattro Tour Duo I am doing so I can then sell it on...decisions decisions! I have even contemplated splitting the shopping and doing some today and some tomorrow and some on Wednesday so I can try them all!

FriggFRIGG · 25/07/2011 16:01

Grin at tiggy doing two shops just to use different buggys!!

i only have two buggys in the house now, thee micralite, and the Kobi.....im not sure im a addict anymore,
i would like a bee+ at some point though....and maybe a donkey...and a swift and maybe a +One.....

okay,so im not cured,just awaiting a relapseGrin

FriggFRIGG · 25/07/2011 16:04

oh yeah, and i still have the combi in the cupboard....but i never use that,im just not sure what to do with it...maybe the charity shop...

suzie38 · 25/07/2011 16:14

At the moment i've got a Nuna in the wardrobe, Oyster in the cupboard...In the hall is the Donkey, Indie, Flyer and Flite...Also at home is the Go that's now in a box in case someone wants to arrange a courier...Then the Citisport that my dad likes best...Plus the old Mothercare Olympus in the greenhouse...Quest at my parents and the older Citisport at the in laws...I had 19 in my possession at one point!!! And in a few weeks the G2!!!

MonkeysPunk · 25/07/2011 17:56

Bowron stroller fleeces are buy one get one half price at mothercare and this code EN84 will get you 10% off orders over £50 valid until end 21st August.

Tiggywunkle · 25/07/2011 19:40

I don't like the Ergo. I fell out with it pretty quickly...and in the end, I did only half a shop because I simply, for the first time ever, couldn't manage to push the silly thing in a straight line, or corner, whilst hanging onto the shopping basket. There is no steering on the thing!! It was a two handed job which is hopeless to do with a basket in one hand. I literally bumped into my in laws and I almost asked them to help me finish my shopping because it was so bad! The pushchair felt like lead to push, and whilst it did take my shopping easily, by the time I got home my wrists, arms, legs and back were all KILLING me! That isnt even mentioning how unsuitable the seat is for a potentially sleeping 12 month old....I was forced to use the car seat. eBay here it comes.....

Tiggywunkle · 25/07/2011 19:41

Frigg...your wish list is exactly the same as mine...how spooky is that...or do we just have good taste in pushchairs??

FriggFRIGG · 25/07/2011 19:54

i think we just have expensive good taste tiggy...

i knew you'd hate the ergo!

Tiggywunkle · 25/07/2011 20:16

Lol, probably. Why did you know I would hate the Ergo..it looks so gorgeous! Honestly the Mutsy was easier to drive by miles than that!!

FriggFRIGG · 25/07/2011 20:22

it just looks difficult to me. i dunno why.Confused
little wheels maybe,i hate little wheels.except the bee's....

Tiggywunkle · 25/07/2011 20:30

Someone said the Ergo reminded me of the Bee...looks wise it's great but for push ability in my hubby's words (not mine) I would have been better with a stubborn donkey...and that's not the Bugaboo kind!

MonkeysPunk · 25/07/2011 20:36

Sorry the ergo didn't work out. It looked so nice too. I hope the superlight is much much better. I can't wait to hear about it!
I used the Vista piggyback to cart home my new upright vacuum cleaner today. It worked really well! I almost got a round of applause from the checkout lady for being so clever. Lol!
Ds also had a ride on it with the buggy seat empty. It was so easy to push! Although when we hit a rough bit of pavement....crumbling badly maintained tarmac, he said he thought his teeth were falling out! (there's no suspension on the piggyback)

suzie38 · 25/07/2011 20:40

Has your other Joovy arrived yet??? I've just emailed Rick to see if he's going to sell the color packs at some point as i'd love a grape set...He added the black Orbit so maybe he'll add a color pack...Here's hoping especially as i said i'll buy a footmuff and pannier set once he's posted the stroller off in case he needs me to pay extra postage...He just guessed the cost yesterday.
