This is as imaginative as I get!Wink
Frigg, my Mum works for the City Council doing disability adaptations to resident's houses. She goes to assessments with an OT, decides on adaptations needed, designs them, draws up plans, applies for planning permission and oversees the work. She's been in the same job since she was 18 so she's learnt a lot about all sorts of dsabilities along the way.

Aswellasyou - I apologise. I have just been looking at some photos and we look like we have been putting the static seat hood in the wrong place...I have yet to try it, but it should be about a foot lower down when we put it in the correct position. Hopefully the flappy side bits will then make sense too.
Suzie - pink sounds lovely! I guess it's the colour inside the watermelon. I didnt think you would buy green!
Thanks Monkey - the Valco was a bit of an impulse buy - more to try out - but they have a good name and if the others don't fit in my boot as I am expecting then it should be useful. I have some fab photos of me in my old buggies and pushchairs. They were all so low and small!

Tiggywunkle · 07/08/2011 11:12

You really don't want a static seat for little ones. There is zero support other than the back rest. It wasn't enough for my baby. But as I have just put (our messages crossed) it looks like the hood attaches on the handlebar not the seat like we were trying. I am sorry to say the Valco people will be in coz we are going over on Thurs or Fri Hmm Sorry!! I may well not keep it though.

aswellasyou · 07/08/2011 11:34

I would have paid more for the Valco if I'd known!Grin When/if you're selling it, let me know if I haven't bought an ABC yet.
The static hood is a bit higher, I assume because it's for a bigger child to sit in. Hopefully you'll be able to see where you're going now.Wink

I'm tempted to buy the eBay one and swap the seat with the person in Nottingham!Grin

OP posts:
Tiggywunkle · 07/08/2011 11:39

Lol...well you can buy it off me for more then :o lololololololololol!!!!!
The static hood has a clear panel. I am not sure how much you can see through it though! I am home alone today so don't think I will get much chance to play.

Tiggywunkle · 07/08/2011 11:40

The Nottingham person isn't replying! I keep trying...

Tiggywunkle · 07/08/2011 11:40

I am debating buying a triple one just to swap the seat.

FriggFRIGG · 07/08/2011 11:54

aswellas, saorise if i were you id just sell everything and buy a BJCS,or a BJCMD....honest,they really seem to fill everything you're asking for.

FriggFRIGG · 07/08/2011 11:56

its what id have if:
My kiddos were smaller (BJCS)
Or
my front door were half a cm wider (BJCMD)

FriggFRIGG · 07/08/2011 11:58

oooh suzie i like the 'watermelon' colour,i would have expected it to be green thoughConfused
when do you reckon it will actually arrive??
i really like the sound of it...can you have it actually facing sideways? or does it just spin around??i really like the paniers too,i prefer the look of it with them on for some reason...

Tiggywunkle · 07/08/2011 12:02

I do agree with Frigg Aswellas and Saorise Pool money, sell what you currently have and get a BJCS for a year or a BJCMD (unless you need to shop with it in which case get the Elite). There should be a fair number of BJCS being sold in the coming weeks with the Duets replacing BJCS for those with bigger children. Or go straight for a Duet and you shouldn't need another double....ever! Lol

Tiggywunkle · 07/08/2011 12:03

I like the panniers on too...I think they finish the Orbit off.

aswellasyou · 07/08/2011 12:35

Tiggy, I thought you'd decided not to get a reclining one, sorry! I wasn't trying to steal it from under your nose.Blush Honestly, if I haven't bought an ABC and you decide to sell the Valco, I'll happily buy it from you.

Frigg and Tiggy, the BJCM is too big for our Mum's car believe it or not!Shock And we only have the Contours to sell so we couldn't afford a BJCS or a Duet by any stretch of the imagination! At the moment, Saoirse has no money and I'm paying for everything. And I much prefer the ABC or Valco.Grin

suzie, I like the panniers too! You wouldn't need a bag with all the storage.

OP posts:
FriggFRIGG · 07/08/2011 12:42

wow! i thought the BJCM would fit in any car!!,now thats a teeny boot!Grin

aswellasyou · 07/08/2011 12:51

It's just too wide/tall even though it's so flat. You can't have the parcel shelf on, even balancing it on top. Normally, we'd put the shelf in the back, but if we need a double pushchair, then we have two babies in the back and either me and our Mum or all three of us so there's nowhere to put it inside the car. Our Mum does not allow the boot to not have the parcel shelf on when it's parked.Hmm However, the Contours fits in just with the parcel shelf placed on top!Shock Her boot really is tiny. The opening to it is shaped as well so some pushchairs would fit in but you can't get them through the opening, so they don't fit in. There's a picture at the bottom here but I think it looks bigger than it really is.

OP posts:
FriggFRIGG · 07/08/2011 12:54

these are the folded dimentions for the SINGLE ABC(without the toddler seat)

Width: 63cm
Length: 130cm (front wheels on) or 110cm (front wheels off)
Height: 25cm
Weight: 10kg

thought that might be useful,to see if it'll fit!Smile

aswellasyou · 07/08/2011 12:55

I've just seen it says it's 72cm deep! That's probably the absolute maximum but it's quite tapered so in reality, it's a maximum of about 55-60cm.

OP posts:
aswellasyou · 07/08/2011 13:12

Nooooo!!! The ABC is highly unlikely to fit in the boot! Why did I look it up? The Valco Tri-Mode and Matrix, and maybe the Quad, would definitely fit though.

I didn't see your post Frigg. I want it though!Sad

Ladies!

As of one hour a go, I have become

A one pushchair household! Shock

FriggFRIGG · 07/08/2011 14:07
Shock

what have you sold????

Tiggywunkle · 07/08/2011 14:14

I need help please Girlies. My Duet should finally be here this week. I had planned to buy two of the large cosy toes as recommended on the other thread but apparently buggysnuggles are too long for the Duet Shock. I was going to get some Outlook cotton pram liners but I think they are shown on the urban jungle not the Swift and could also be too long? The liners need to be rectangular rather than shaped. I don't think DD will be comfortable in a buggysnuggle now.... Help!

FriggFRIGG · 07/08/2011 14:17

maybe a sheepskin liner??
