This is as imaginative as I get!Wink
Frigg, my Mum works for the City Council doing disability adaptations to resident's houses. She goes to assessments with an OT, decides on adaptations needed, designs them, draws up plans, applies for planning permission and oversees the work. She's been in the same job since she was 18 so she's learnt a lot about all sorts of dsabilities along the way.

Mamas and Papas Aria
Bugaboo Cameleon

FriggFRIGG · 07/08/2011 14:17

or a maclaren one...

Tiggywunkle · 07/08/2011 14:21

One pushchair household? More importantly, what is the one left???? The ABC wheels are not easy tompop on and off - they havevpins that are hard on my fingers. I had to get OH to do them. I think to remove them every time would drive you nutty. The ABC could really do with bringing into the 21st century in some ways. I wonder if the newest versions are better? Someone has kindly agreed to ship the Valco for me so that I don't have to trek the children out on a 5 hour round trip :) Although I lose my planned day of shopping at the Trafford Centre :(

or a maclaren one...

FriggFRIGG · 07/08/2011 14:30

honey,you kept the bee+, right?

suzie38 · 07/08/2011 14:36

FriggFRIGG Yes you can use it with the seat sideways though Orbit don't recommend using it that way because it's a tipping hazard if a toddler climbs in or out when the seat is that way...Will have to go to the zoo when i get it so DD can see while i'm pushing along enclosures...I wanted the purple as it's a more unisex color for when selling at a later date and it's darker to hide possible dirty marks...The panniers remind me of the Donkey baskets, but a more even look...The underneath bag really isn't suitable for shopping though obviously it's easier to hook bags over the handles.

I can't ever imagine being a one pushchair household because each has it's own individual use.

Honeydragon · 07/08/2011 14:43

The Bee+ Tiggy, they'll have to prise that one from my cold dead hands before it goes Grin

I've yet to find a contender for it, let alone anything that would make me sell.

Honeydragon · 07/08/2011 14:46

Suzie....I'm bricking myself about the Winter having sold the Vigour. I'm hoping the Babboe will cut the mustard through snow.

If I get a motor for the Babboe for longer trips I may get a Zapp to go in it. But I don't need anything other than the Bee at present, our recent holiday proved what a good little all rounder it can be Smile and dh likes it (although he still doesn't know how much it cost!)

Tiggywunkle · 07/08/2011 14:48

Get a Noa, not a Zapp ;) Why is the Bee+ so good...they are one pushchair everyone raves about but I don't quite get why.

MonkeysPunk · 07/08/2011 19:25

Are the Bowron sheepskin liners still on the "buy one get one half price" offer at mothercare Tiggy? They are super quality and with en84 for 10% off around £25 each. A bargain. So easy to move from one pram to another too!

Honeydragon · 07/08/2011 19:56

I love the Bee+ because it's easy to use, easy to change over and is very very small for a none stroller. Also the basket is fecking huge and really accessible a bonus when you don't drive.

It means I can chuck everything in the bottom in bags round town leaving one hand for the Bee and one for dd if she's not in it. But it only takes 2 minutes to take things out and then fold the pram to get on the bus.

Also it can fit up the central aisle of certain buses, and I have been known on occasion to sit her at the back of the bus still in it (at the bus drivers suggestion when the bus was busy. I offered to stand and hold dd but he said to do that to keep her comfy and safe.

I don't need to bump it down stairs as it's still light enough to carry with dd in by myself.

It's the fucking bollocks for weaving in and out of restaurants and folds unobtrusively by your table without tripping people up.

dd loves ff as she can put her toys in and out the basket herself so we don't lose them.

The handles low, but easy to adjust whilst still moving if someone else takes over.

DS loves it as he can push it comfortably and see over the top, and I dont worry as I know it's a stable pushchair.

Tbh the only people I have spoken to who had issues said it was too hard to use, but they hadn't read the instructions Hmm, so I choose to discount their opinions Grin

MonkeysPunk · 07/08/2011 20:12

I didn't like the bee+ much once Ds's legs got longer as rf there was no footrest. When seat was upright rf the front wheels would shimmy. If pushing empty the front wheels would shimmy unless locked straight. The harness was too small for Ds before he was 3y! He is not big for age. I think bugaboo had forgotten how much extra strappage is needed to allow for thicker clothing in winter. It did not run at all well off road (not surprising though).
For me the uppababy Vista was better although not so petite!

Tiggywunkle · 07/08/2011 20:18

Thanks for the reviews. I almost bought a Bee years ago but the curved frame made it take up more height in my boot than the Chameleon which is what I bought instead. One day I may try one properly :) I will have a look at those liners. I don't know if I said but I have found some liners but they look like they fit the Urban Jungle perfectly. Do you think the Swift is much shorter seat and leg rest wise?

Tiggywunkle · 07/08/2011 20:39

I don't like the shape of the Bowron liners :( I would prefer something long and thin and uniform lol. The size of the seat is like the Swift...I really need two foot muffs...my Snunkies are too long and 'fluffy' and the Buggysnuggles are too long (and I only have on anyway). I have trawler every website going today and still can't find one! There is no idea of size! I have looked at the Stoke foot muffs for the toddler seat of the ABC...but the legs look really short!!

FriggFRIGG · 07/08/2011 20:47

what about a maclaren liner?those are just rectangular and should def be short enough.

Tiggywunkle · 07/08/2011 21:06

Sorry I forgot to look at those...off now :)

FriggFRIGG · 07/08/2011 21:08
Smile
FriggFRIGG · 07/08/2011 21:09

i like this one tiggy!

Tiggywunkle · 07/08/2011 21:23

It's pretty with the owls on. The Maclaren foot muffs might work but hmmm I am going to be snobby here and say having a cosy toes with Maclaren is a tad weird on a Mountain Buggy. I think I will have to go and play.....when the pushchair arrives!!

FriggFRIGG · 07/08/2011 21:29

sorry,i thought you wanted liners,not footmuffs!Smile

FriggFRIGG · 07/08/2011 21:30

dont maclaren do one specifically for the duet/swift?

Honeydragon · 07/08/2011 21:37

Monkeys, I'm starting to think Bugaboo are keeping quiet about the harness I wonder if some are faulty like the sticky wheels? One of the Mums at a group I go to moaned that I was lucky to have a little baby as her harness wouldn't do up. Hers was a earliers bee+ than mine. On comparison our dc's were the same size but my harness definitely seemed to have more give in it Confused

I don't know whether mine was definitely longer or because I rethreaded and refit mine when I put the cosy toes on. But you could see a difference between the two.

FriggFRIGG · 07/08/2011 21:38

Sad i misse out on the ABC buy £2!!!!

SadSadSad

Tiggywunkle · 07/08/2011 21:40

Well I need both....but I like something soft, fluffy, warm and snuggly for winter but it's probably too warm for that now so I am looking at liners and foot muffs and foot muffs which make good liners.....I thought I would buy a large footmuff for DD but since Buggysnuggles are too long, I don't know what to get now....I am a bit stumped coz I don't think she will fit in an average cosy toes...and I want the two children to match....
With a newly potty trained toddler plus a sicky baby I need something fast! I was going to get MB ones but someone else took a photo and they just don't sit right because they are shaped round the head and don't lie flat. I was going to get these www.preciouslittleone.com/product-information/33/13511/outlook-cotton-pram-liner---black/ but they fit an urban jungle perfectly and I think the Swift / Duet is smaller seat wise???
