This is as imaginative as I get!Wink
Frigg, my Mum works for the City Council doing disability adaptations to resident's houses. She goes to assessments with an OT, decides on adaptations needed, designs them, draws up plans, applies for planning permission and oversees the work. She's been in the same job since she was 18 so she's learnt a lot about all sorts of dsabilities along the way.

Tiggy, the one you linked to was one I'd planned on bidding on!Sad I've looked at them and similar ones on and off for a while but they're hardly ever willing to post them.

FriggFRIGG · 03/08/2011 21:30

i'll fight you for it aswell Wink

Tiggywunkle · 03/08/2011 21:37

Lololol oh heck. I will swap you...I like red!

MonkeysPunk · 03/08/2011 21:56

My nipper was Fab for the train! Compact, light. Virtually un-tippable!
It was also quite liberating to not feel the need to fuss over getting icecream or stuff on it as it was so cheap to buy.
The kids love pushing it too as its so easy. Definately the wrist strap needs to be on and you need to use the brake when you stop for safety. Especially at the seaside near the harbour wall!
I kind of fell into a sale at Joules, which my cc is still smoking from.... and I had my oioi hobo sack on the handlebar along with two enormous joules bags and it still did not tip! (i had two sigg bottles in the oioi pockets too!) Not even when Ds got out.
However, I found it was pants at fitting in the car...I had to take wheels off! It took up most of the boot. Had it on its side in one half of zafira boot. With one rear seat in use to the side of it.
My bj summit or Vista take up much less room wheels on!
I still think the nipper is the best train outing buggy for us due to its lightness and versatility for off road.

Tiggywunkle · 03/08/2011 22:13

That sounds like a good day out. Lol re not being precious about ice-cream etc! Did yours blow away too? :o

aswellasyou · 03/08/2011 22:21

Frigg, don't hurt me! I bruise too easily.Grin
Monkeys, the Nipper sounds great. I'm not bothered about removing wheels. You get used to it when you're always squeezing two or three pushchairs into one boot!Wink

OP posts:
MonkeysPunk · 03/08/2011 22:31

It didn't blow away at all, very calm hot weather, but the wheels spin so easily you just know it has the potential to roll on its own!
I tried to "dress it up" for the outing with a snunkie liner, and bagabottle pouch that match. Ds saw and "hid" both items muttering "done wannit that's rubbish!"...he patted the nipper liner saying "like that one its mine" (its fitted black side out as the camel doesn't match the pram canvas!). I guess he wants a pram he can crap in!

MonkeysPunk · 03/08/2011 22:34

The nipper most definately is a very useful, workhorse which is light and lovely to push. It's excellent value for money, even when not on sale.

FriggFRIGG · 03/08/2011 22:47

Grin at your DS muttering and patting the nipper...
DD often oust's buggy snuggles or liners,
she likes my buggy coffee cup though,i caught her swigging from it t'other day,you should have seen her little face....

Envy Confused

MonkeysPunk · 03/08/2011 23:12

What is a buggy coffee cup? I feel I'm missing out on something good here! Lol

Tiggywunkle · 03/08/2011 23:23

I don't know but hubby has two fab ones from Lakeland. Stainless steel. One holds one cup and the other is a mini flask with spout. He keeps raving about how long his coffee stays hot lol

FriggFRIGG · 04/08/2011 08:55

Mine is just a insulated cup,I got it from marwell zoo actually...its stainless steel, with a handle.i sort of hook the cup handle from the buggy handlebar, and it stays upright, its brilliant! Coffee a go go!!

MonkeysPunk · 04/08/2011 09:21

Ah, I think they have those at Tesco up the road for about £4!

FriggFRIGG · 04/08/2011 09:25

thats great, mine was a lot more Envy

but i do get free refills for life at marwell,so if youre ever going, stop by and pick up the free drinks cup!Grin

FriggFRIGG · 04/08/2011 11:57

this is a good deal....

Tiggywunkle · 04/08/2011 12:33

Don't forget the UK B-Agiles are four wheel. But yes it's a fab deal.

aswellasyou · 04/08/2011 21:48

Tiggy, I thought you might be interested in this if you want a reclining seat, although it may be too far from you to swap in person.

OP posts:
Tiggywunkle · 04/08/2011 22:04

Wow thank you. It's probably not too far for us as we go to Sheffield a fair bit. I have messaged them. Well spotted :) I love you Girlies! Any thoughts why they would want to swap? It would be nice to have the baby on top sometimes. Just intrigued though why they would prefer the static one? Does it fold easier or something? Is it larger? But that's cheered me up after a really bad day caused by one pushchair manufacturer mentioned here for their poor customer service.....grrrrrr!!!!

aswellasyou · 04/08/2011 22:11

You're welcome! Smile I imagine it's a bit bigger folded. Or maybe it doesn't sit completely vertically? Hopefully you'll find out!Grin Have you tried it in your boot yet?
That manufacturer isn't doing its image any good recently!Hmm

OP posts:
Tiggywunkle · 04/08/2011 22:16

No we haven't tried it in the boot. The second seat for the Taga fiiiiiinnnnnaaaaalllllyyyyy arrived today after a couple of months of waiting and hubby filled the hall up piecing it together so I couldn't get out when I had chance. Believe me, the steam is rising here....and I rarely get cross....

FriggFRIGG · 04/08/2011 22:19

ummm,THAT manufacturer have been VERY rude to you tiggy, and ignoring other request's for this long is appalling.Angry

as for the seat i imagine its taller, and therefore harder to see over??

aswellasyou · 04/08/2011 22:22

Oh Tiggy!Sad I hate having to argue with companies about their imcompetence. I've failed a credit check this week based on a credit reference agency's idiocy incorrect information. I'm so annoyed about it!!!Angry
It's exciting the Taga's finally arrived though-I can imagine his excitement.Grin. It has been a really long time though.

OP posts:
Tiggywunkle · 04/08/2011 23:01

It is taller...but the one I have has a tall hood and DD hates it when it's blowy and it would need to go on for winter anyway. But equally she doesn't like being too reclined and that seat is a bit reclined. But I would love to put baby on the top sometimes. And I like the fact it goes to 25kg. It's easier to remove though.
I got accused of something I didn't do with no apology, then I didn't get a pushchair that's been on order for approx 5 months coz they got stock numbers wrong (my choice to let someone else have mine over me to be fair coz I am nice :o) but what's irking is that several people didn't get stuff either but one shop I know of has the pushchair in stock ready to ship when the preorders haven't been filled and people's money taken.... doesn't seem fair to me....or is that business???

Tiggywunkle · 04/08/2011 23:03

Hubby loves the second seat but he got exceedingly stressed fitting it as they sent the wrong tools and screws!! Plus you have to raid bits from the main seat and he couldn't understand why even though I kept telling him!!! He's now like a cat on hot bricks because he's desperate to try it but it's been raining and it's too late now!

aswellasyou · 04/08/2011 23:03

I forgot to say that I asked Cheeky Rascals about selling the white demonstration Kobi they have. The response I got said they don't supply white to the UK because the carrycot part of the white seat units don't meet UK fire safety standards. She said they will supply white Mimas if asked for them but if you were to buy a carrycot seat unit, it would have to come with a black carrycot inside the white seat. I think that sounds quite nice! Smile I hoped they'd say they'd sell me the used one though. Wink
