This is as imaginative as I get!Wink
Frigg, my Mum works for the City Council doing disability adaptations to resident's houses. She goes to assessments with an OT, decides on adaptations needed, designs them, draws up plans, applies for planning permission and oversees the work. She's been in the same job since she was 18 so she's learnt a lot about all sorts of dsabilities along the way.

he's home thanks tiggy....still ill though, apparently just viral.

Tiggywunkle · 02/08/2011 21:58

Glad he is home. I bet that's a relief even though he is still sick. Hugs to everyone.

aswellasyou · 02/08/2011 22:01

Oh Frigg! I didn't know he was ill.Sad I hope he recovers quickly.
Tiggy, you could always send a few to Birmingham!Wink I only have two in the hall, one in the bathroom Hmm and one in saoirse's boot. I feel like there's plenty of room for a couple more.Smile I'm thinking you need a tall tandem for hiding-the Select maybe?

Don't even ask where ours ate, but the next two will have to reside temporarily in the childrens bath. My worry is what to do when baby needs his full size cot.....because it's currently full of seats, car seats etc with no access to it anyway! TBH I don't particularly want to stand out in the freezing cold to do photos over winter anyway. I will pare things down and concentrate on building the stats pages up.

Tiggywunkle · 02/08/2011 22:24

Oh and I was pondering the Elite....or Duet (if it arrives) but the BJCS with car seat at the top is high....or even...ooohhh yes my new AbC...that is probably perfect and very tall :) I should be able to track that in a minute :)

MonkeysPunk · 02/08/2011 22:31

Friggfrigg, sorry to hear your Ds was poorly! I hope he's better v soon. X
Tiggy, how about the nipper for the outing, presuming its on a field. or the abc?
we have 4 buggies currently, and a candy volo on preorder! that's the most I've had without plans to sell!
uppababy Vista, for everyday, school runs and shopping. also all day family outings in urban environments.
BJ summit xc for woods, beaches and all terrain use, also brilliant in snow!
maclaren xlr for urban outings where space needs saving, or if quickly popping to shop in car with H (i don't drive yet).
nipper for outings to off road places via train, where the summit might be a bit large and cumbersome.
candy volo, so I can use the free buses to m&s or Tesco. any other buggy is too big.

aswellasyou · 02/08/2011 22:32

Defintely the ABC. We saw people with one like yours at the weekend. It looks really good quality. I had to call Saoirse over to look at it before they went past us. The couple didn't bat an eyelid at our gawping at it!Grin

The Nipper is wayyyyy too low to hide behind!!!!! It's good to hear the ABC is good. I am very excited! Off to track it now!

Tiggywunkle · 03/08/2011 14:50

I LOVE MY ABC.....its gorgeous! Thanks TONS AND TONS to Frigg for finding it, picking it up and sending it to me. She is an utter star :o I have to say I think it ticks almost all my boxes for a perfec tandem...I just dont know if it will fit in my car...and I have to try it out yet! But at first glance / push it looks great! Thank you FriggFRIGG!!!!

FriggFRIGG · 03/08/2011 17:29

FriggFRIGG · 03/08/2011 17:30

right then...all eyes open for another,
i rather liked itWink

aswellasyou · 03/08/2011 18:51

That's fantastic Tiggy!Grin Fingers crossed for compactness. I really liked the look of it the other day. It was actually a double with one seat on top-for some reason I thought that was what you were getting despite that not being useful to you.Hmm

It's a single with a single toddler seat on top. Like one It's getting near my perfect pushchair to be honest. I loved having DD so close and chatting to me. She loved being so high up and being able to post letters, hold the shopping list etc. Baby as always was asleep in seconds in a comfortable large seat which could be easily reclined under the toddler plus I could still use the basket. Loads of useful storage (the basket even detaches to use as a rucksack!! How neat is that????) underneath and at the back of the seat. I discovered today that the reclining seat takes a child up to a HUGE 25kgs!!! But this one goes up to 18kgs. I thought it would be very tall so I couldn't see round my toddler but the view was fine. My only niggle is that the front wheel gets stuck eg if you stop in ashop and need to get going, and by the time I got home the movement dropped the swivel wheel lock into position so I had a locked front wheel which made turning into the drive fun when a car came towards me! Hubby thinks the toddler seat and handle look a bit old fashioned (I don't know if they have been updated) but I love it. My only question mark is a) how to fold it but I have an idea and b) whether I can get it into the car...I really hope I can but it will be close. But it's nice because I basically have a single and the toddler seat on top is barely noticeable without a child in. So is good for that single pushchair feel but with a toddler option plus storage.

Tiggywunkle · 03/08/2011 19:39

The link didn't work. It's the single with fixed toddler seat adventurebuggycompany.com/twinbuggy.htm My only niggle is how exposed DD will be in winter but her hood is huge plus both have a raincover.

Tiggywunkle · 03/08/2011 19:42

I think it's better than the +one really coz I can recline the baby properly - and the seat position is reclined enough for a comfy sleep anyway. But the +one will have the second seat even more hidden plus be more modern and I suspect fold neater (she says not having folded the ABC yet). But this works for us!!

Tiggywunkle · 03/08/2011 20:20

Frigg this must be badly listed because I have done two searches today and this one has just come up. I love the red! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ABC-phil-teds-twin-pushchair-all-extras-must-c-fab-/370531409166?pt=UK_Baby_BabyTravel_Pushchairs_GL&hash=item5645649d0e#ht_3138wt_922

FriggFRIGG · 03/08/2011 20:23

oh,oh,oh! thankyou!
i'll keep an eye on that!Smile

Tiggywunkle · 03/08/2011 20:37

Sorry I should have sent it to you privately but even having tried to search again it hasn't come up only under 'abc'.

Tiggywunkle · 03/08/2011 20:40

I didn't realise until now that they are over £800 new!!!

FriggFRIGG · 03/08/2011 20:45

Grin yeah yours was a real bargain!

Tiggywunkle · 03/08/2011 21:06

I have pondered what the BIN price was. I never get bargains so am really chuffed! I have been pondering buying a reclining toddler seat but it's about £400 to ship the seats plus other bits I want!!! So I will wait and see where we are when DD hits 18kgs....hopefully it will be some time off!

saoirse86 · 03/08/2011 21:07

I really like the look of the ABC. I might keep my eye out too! Wink I wonder if aswell would be happy to swap the contours for it?! Hmm
Is the top seat easy to remove or would you just keep it on all the time?

saoirse86 · 03/08/2011 21:07

How much did you pay for it tiggy?

Tiggywunkle · 03/08/2011 21:15

£102!!!!!!!! Plus money to Frigg for packing, petrol and shipping costs. The seat is kind of easy to remove as in a simple process but it's not something you want to do each day. There are some press in pins which kill your fingers not so much when removing but to get them past the chassis on the way in. Frigg probably has more idea than I do. I am desperate to fold it and try it in the car but we are in the middle of a thunderstorm here.
I really honestly think this pushchair is brilliant! It does what I need it to ie easy to push, baby can recline, toddler able to chat (although that's also a negative!!!! Lol), large shopping basket, lots of pockets. I wonder how warm it will be on top in winter or how easy all the hoods, raincovers etc are to use. I failed to get a raincover on earlier but have been studying photos since. My main niggle is the front wheel. I may try the stability bar but then I probably end up with the issues of sticking wheels x 2! I love things like the raincovers will stash in the side pockets - no leaving them at home and getting caught out!

Tiggywunkle · 03/08/2011 21:17

It's in near perfect condition. Needs a new inner tube but they included one. Oohh I don't like the brake. It's vicious!! I prefer using my hand to my foot! I am soooooooooooooooooooooo chuffed!!
