This is as imaginative as I get!Wink
Frigg, my Mum works for the City Council doing disability adaptations to resident's houses. She goes to assessments with an OT, decides on adaptations needed, designs them, draws up plans, applies for planning permission and oversees the work. She's been in the same job since she was 18 so she's learnt a lot about all sorts of dsabilities along the way.

its worse with higher priced items, I know people say they are giving you a great shop window, but for 10% you should get some protection. Sad

Tiggywunkle · 31/07/2011 20:32

I think I may do something on BB....hmm....meanwhile I need some stuff to sell!! I wanted to do auctions today but it's such a risk with high price items, but to set a reserve was about £10!!

www.ebaby.co.uk/chicco-1-2-3-4-5-6-7/stroller-simplicity-chicco.html

That's the Chicco one i like...Argos are selling in in blue and red but only online plus for £150 whereas the link ones are £125 including postage.

aswellasyou · 31/07/2011 21:48

Do you know if you'll be charged import costs on it? I'd get the Morgana I think. Smile
If you want anything else on there, this code takes off £13 when you spend £150: 5F7M-62T5-1S47

OP posts:
aswellasyou · 31/07/2011 21:51

I just tried the code on a Noa for just under £140 and it took the £13 off. Maybe it's not £150 minimum even though it says that.

Tiggywunkle · 31/07/2011 22:16

I wasnt charged import costs - its the EU and everything I have had from the EU simply arrives easily! Well done re the £13 off.

Tiggywunkle · 31/07/2011 22:19

Suzie, that stroller looks like a dolls pram! Really girly! I like this one:

aswellasyou · 31/07/2011 22:36

I didn't realise you didn't get charged shipping from the EU.Smile The Chicco Living does look interesting. They've still got the Xari in grey and blue-it'd be £710 delivered.

aswellasyou · 31/07/2011 22:41

Another Kobi to tempt us all! Grin

OP posts:
Tiggywunkle · 31/07/2011 23:07

Well I am guessing its because its the EU that you dont get charged...like I said the pushchairs I have bought from Europe have all arrived with no charges.
Oooh a pink & blue Kobi!!

Honeydragon · 31/07/2011 23:10

As long as you are purchasing from a member of the EU there are no import duties. Only outside. And some have free shipping too Smile

MonkeysPunk · 01/08/2011 09:43

Arrrrgghhh! Only £710 for a boyish xari....I am feeling the temptation now!
My nipper is on the southampton van now....(for delivery) ...and Mil and H are headed this way too! [Shock] wish me luck, am about to be busted I think. Oops!
I think the candy volo is released this week too.

aswellasyou · 01/08/2011 09:45

That's interesting!Grin I've always been a little bit unsure about buying things in the EU and not knowing if/how much I'll be charged in import fees.

The person selling the Kobi says they're open to sensible offers as well. Smile

OP posts:
aswellasyou · 01/08/2011 09:47

Monkey!Grin Buy the Xari! The longer it sits there unsold, the more likely I am to buy it.Wink I actually sent them a message asking if they were likely to have the white in stock again but they didn't reply.Sad

OP posts:
aswellasyou · 01/08/2011 09:58

I've just read the information about the Xari on Ebaby. It says it includes the footmuff, but you need to buy a starter pack or comfort pack, but they don't seem to sell them.Hmm

OP posts:
suzie38 · 01/08/2011 10:07

I couldn't find the Xari on that site.

aswellasyou · 01/08/2011 10:13

You can't search for it on the site for some reason. It's here.

OP posts:
suzie38 · 01/08/2011 10:27

Smile Though i'm not buying one now in light of the G2 that's still being sent to the sender.

aswellasyou · 01/08/2011 10:48

It's such a good price though!Grin

OP posts:
suzie38 · 01/08/2011 11:18

LOL!!!

MonkeysPunk · 01/08/2011 15:41

I couldn't get the xari unless I sold everything else! I would prefer to see or even test drive one before doing that!
It looks lovely.
I saw a stokke the other day. It looked a lot bigger, yet more practical than I'd imagined! It had summer covers on. Floral. Pretty. A little cushion-like!
I like the winter set I've seen on the web for the stokke. So cool.
Does the stokke have suspension?

suzie38 · 01/08/2011 16:11

I don't think it does as someone said it made their baby rattle around on rough ground...I don't like the winter set, i hate those furry hood surrounds as i don't even like then on coat hoods...Someone posted not long ago that their 9th centile 2 year old barely fit in a Xari seat...My DD is also on the 9th line so that kind of put me off buying blind.

MonkeysPunk · 01/08/2011 16:12

Can't believe the nippers not here yet. H has gone for a nap. I was hoping it'd arrive while he wasn't looking! He will be up again soon.

FriggFRIGG · 01/08/2011 16:51

my DD is 3,and she fit's in the Kobi seat fine....the top of her head is at the top of the seat IYSWIM.
im pretty sure the Kobi and Xari seats are the same size....

Honeydragon · 01/08/2011 17:48

I sold my vigour to someone who had a Stokke, it was lovely, but strictly a pavement pram hence the vigour.

One if the places she wanted the vigour for is a field that my Bee+ does without any bother whatsoever, so I guess the Stokke really is a town pram. The more I see them the more they grow on me though.
