This is as imaginative as I get!Wink
Frigg, my Mum works for the City Council doing disability adaptations to resident's houses. She goes to assessments with an OT, decides on adaptations needed, designs them, draws up plans, applies for planning permission and oversees the work. She's been in the same job since she was 18 so she's learnt a lot about all sorts of dsabilities along the way.

And if you put it on eBay, it'll be listed much better than when you bought it.Hmm
Tiggy, thinking of tandems, have you tried out your Powertwin yet?

OP posts:
Tiggywunkle · 30/07/2011 11:22

I think the +one is longer than the Kobi Confused ....hmm where's that website with the side by side comparison stats on....???? Wink

Tiggywunkle · 30/07/2011 11:24

Hmm it doesn't have length (none of the P&Ts do either) but stand height is 3cms longer so I think that won't be far off the length plus handle rotated up...

Tiggywunkle · 30/07/2011 11:30

Glad I was a good spokesman. I haven't got the Powertwin yet. It got posted yesterday. The Nipper is due today though and preventing us going out :( although I could just text a Monday delivery. Hubby wants to go to TJ Hughes...we realllllyyyyy don't shop locally..............I have only been into the town twice in three years..........we drive miles elsewhere..........

aswellasyou · 30/07/2011 11:42

I hate waiting in for deliveries but you must spend half your life waiting!
I'd quite like to go to TJ Hughes too, but the local one to us is a bit far and it's in a really awful shopping centre. I'm hoping to get to Babies R Us today to moan about my Chicco.

Tiggywunkle · 30/07/2011 16:29

We went toTJHughes. They only had cheap Hauck strollers. But we got hauls of toys, kitchen stuff, and three CD players for £70. Bargains galore!

FriggFRIGG · 30/07/2011 16:52

we went to mothercare,i nearly bought a maclaren xt double,i decided against it in the end as i wanted a double triumph really but they didnt have any there, and said it'd take 4 days to deliver, and id rather buy 2nd hand if its going to take 4 days anyway....

it was alright to push a bit heavy though....ummm

Honeydragon · 30/07/2011 17:46

theres a nipper near me, Frigg at £150 Sad

but it ends in 2 hours so if it relists cheaper I'll let you know Wink

FriggFRIGG · 30/07/2011 17:49

thanksSmile

MonkeysPunk · 30/07/2011 19:58

I texted for Monday delivery of our nipper as we have visitors and waiting in wasn't an option!
The maclaren xt double was half price in the tesco sale if there are any left.

aswellasyou · 30/07/2011 22:28

I took my Chicco Liteway back today. Firstly, they tried to fob me off with a new wheel, then the woman said I could have the one that was on display (it was the last one in the shop), then she eventually agreed to swap it for another pushchair. So I got a Britax B-Mobile 4 in Black Thunder. It's the one with the black chassis. Did you have one, Frigg? I seem to remember you not liking it but everything else looked/felt rubbish and it's the 2011 version so I'm hoping it's a good swap.Smile

OP posts:
FriggFRIGG · 30/07/2011 22:42

oooh i think the 2011 version ironed out all the niggles!
plus your DD wont 'need' the footrest for a while.it was the lack of RF footrest, and doggy brake, apart from that, fab.

brilliant swap id say!

aswellasyou · 30/07/2011 22:54

I noticed the lack of adjustable footrest but decided it wasn't the end of the world. I thought the new version had fixed all the previous issues. I liked it when I was looking for a stroller for it's compact fold, flat recline and that it feels sturdy and good quality. We'll see how it fares when I get it out.
I had been really happy with my Chicco before the wheel issues, but I think this will be better.Wink

My Nipper has arrived. We have been out all afternoon and Tesco had just wedged it behind the house Shock Hubby wasn't happy. We had text to say Monday too! But it's here and safe and we will open it tomorrow. We had a fun time taking two singles today - the Emotion Xtreet and the Noa. The Xtreet has a bigger basket, raised calf rest option, more padding, nicer handle, easier recline, better hood / quality, was sturdier ie not bouncy but the Noa fold is awesome, the seat is deeper, the footrest is much better, the recline is easier than many zip reclines and all round it was our favourite even though it wasn't quite as luxurious / high spec. I think it was literally because of the seat, footrest, fold, and ease of use. The handles were a tad higher on the Noa. Our toddler fitted the Noa great but the baby was better in the Xtreet with the calf rest up. At one stage over lunch we realised a really heavy shopping basket had been left on the Noa handle and even with no child in the seat it didnt tip! Awesome stability for a tiny pushchair. Lots of fun though racing each other through a busy town! We really appreciated having two narrow 'squeeze through anywhere' pushchairs.

Tiggy, I had texted Monday too but Fri got email saying dispatched, so checked Hermes, where it said on van early Saturday. I used the website to say Mon again, and pop up box said I'd successfully changed to Mon, but Hermes still showing sat delivery. End of yesterday it said back at depot. There is nowhere here to leave a parcel.
I hope they deliver Mon and don't return to tesco for refund! I could miss out due to text system clearly not working! I'm not convinced Hermes website delivery change is either.
My eldest Dd was home and hadn't said they tried to deliver...although if she was in the bath or on the phone in her room she wouldnt notice.

MonkeysPunk · 31/07/2011 07:25

Sorry, it was yesterday am I got the dispatched email from tesco, even though it was the day before that I rescheduled to a Monday delivery by text.
Really hoping they do bring on Mon.
If it all goes wrong I might get a Micralite for the hols...because the Vista was hard work on the trains! Mostly because two stations had bridges to cross and no lifts. It was also v crowded on the train.
I felt that bumping the Vista up and down large flights of stairs was not at all good for the chassis with 3y old in seat and fully loaded basket.
I am not sure when pre ordered volo is coming...I need something I can do public transport with now!

Tiggywunkle · 31/07/2011 10:10

100% the Noa....absolutely fantastic and a great price.

aswellasyou · 31/07/2011 10:45

I really like the look of both the Noa and the Xtreet. The Noa's really cheap though, so I like that a bit more.Wink

OP posts:
MonkeysPunk · 31/07/2011 10:49

Is the noa a special offer or just inexpensive?

aswellasyou · 31/07/2011 11:05

The Noa's £150 but has only just come out here so isn't for sale in that many shops. The Xtreet is something like £270 I think but isn't available here. Here are three of the places you can buy the Noa.

OP posts:
aswellasyou · 31/07/2011 11:09

I've just noticed that they're actually not out until August in those shops. Tiggy, have you been puling strings to get yours?Wink Bebe Confort have already released it in other countries, here are two shops who'll deliiver to the UK.

OP posts:
Tiggywunkle · 31/07/2011 11:10

The Noa is just inexpensive. At first it felt a bit wobbly because it's V shape on it's side so it bounces but after having used it all day in a shopping centre, shops, on an escalator (a mistake - we thought it was the travelator) across thick newly laud gravel, grass etc with my heavy toddler in - it did us proud. I honestly recommend every buggy addict gets one because although it may not be your cup of tea, you will struggle to fault it as a lightweight easy to use stroller.

MonkeysPunk · 31/07/2011 11:25

I am really hoping the nipper turns up. I want a buggy that will cope through city, trains and stairs and bridges plus the new forest.
I could really use a bjcm with rear suspension and air tyres!

Tiggywunkle · 31/07/2011 11:43

Ermm is a BJCM with forever air tyres and suspension (no idea if it's rear without looking it up) basically an Elite???!! I love the Elite. I would really like a single version. I asked hubby the other day why I was getting a BJCM 4 instead of an Elite and we couldn't answer it! Was the Swift not the answer? Mine is a Bebe Confort Noa but apart from the branding and possibly fabric differences, I am sure they will be the same. I honestly wasn't sure about the Noa given I had already had a play back in March, and thought it was a bit gimmicky...but it does work really well. But it doesn't have air tyres lol but it is very bouncy!!!
