This is as imaginative as I get!Wink
Frigg, my Mum works for the City Council doing disability adaptations to resident's houses. She goes to assessments with an OT, decides on adaptations needed, designs them, draws up plans, applies for planning permission and oversees the work. She's been in the same job since she was 18 so she's learnt a lot about all sorts of dsabilities along the way.

Mothercare sell the twin version of the Citisport...That's very light and easy to push so i'm sure the double would be quite easy...The single folds very small so the double would just be double the width which is probably about 70cm but should fit in most boots lying flat with shopping on the top.

suzie38 · 30/07/2011 09:57

Folded height of mine is around 82cm and 20cm deep and 35cm wide.

FriggFRIGG · 30/07/2011 09:57

okay,thanks,i'll look at thatSmile

suzie38 · 30/07/2011 09:58

And around 5kg in weight.

aswellasyou · 30/07/2011 10:11

Frigg, you're thinking of a Maclaren?Shock Are you feeling OK?Wink

Just try DD in them. Mine can reach the floor in the ones I have tried and can paddle the pushchair across the floor! I would love to know if any side by side umbrella folds are higher than the others. I had an umbrella fold tandem not long ago and was surprised how easy it was to push. Great basket too. My problem is always which child to put where though. The baby needs the recline at the back but the toddler needs the height / her feet in the basket not on the floor!

Suzie, go and see the Strawberry. It is lovely!

FriggFRIGG · 30/07/2011 10:32

i know.....maybe i am ill,because im thinking about selling the mima too....Confused

suzie38 · 30/07/2011 10:33

I know but i've got the Orbit on order plus changing mortgages so thinking i'd better start making over payments on that which is very boring compared to pushchairs.

suzie38 · 30/07/2011 10:34

Why are you thinking of selling the Kobi???

aswellasyou · 30/07/2011 10:35

Frigg???!!!! Who is this imposter pretending to be you?!Hmm
Why do you want to sell the Kobi?Sad

OP posts:
FriggFRIGG · 30/07/2011 10:43

well id keep it if i didnt have to sell one to buy one.
but i do,and i think the +one will suit us better,
i can go off road without worrying about ruining it,i need more storage,i always seem to be turfing things out of the second seat and swapping kids around to get DD in.(she wont sit in the reclined back seat) and with the +one,i can take her to nursery with a double, drop her off,zip up the back, and ive got a single.
her nursery is going to be a bus ride away, and in a little countryside village,so compactish off roadability with hideable seat is just what i need...

i wish i could keep the mima too thoughSad

aswellasyou · 30/07/2011 10:53

When's the +One coming out? I feel sorry for the poor Kobi!Grin

OP posts:
suzie38 · 30/07/2011 10:55

And you should be able to make money on it as well Smile

FriggFRIGG · 30/07/2011 11:06

i hope i can make some money on it....im a bit worried the other one hasnt sold yet
the +one's coming out in September i think....

you'd feel sorrier for the Kobi if you saw it being dragged on and off a tiny bus,and through mud and grime in the villageWink

saoirse86 · 30/07/2011 11:08

Noooooooooooooooo frigg! Why would you do this?! Shock Sad Can't you buy a cheap second hand tandem instead and keep the Kobi?

saoirse86 · 30/07/2011 11:09

Well frigg I'll do you a favour and take it off your hands for £50! Wink

aswellasyou · 30/07/2011 11:11

Frigg I thought your recovery was too good to be true.Wink The other Kobi is a lot of money though. There may be people willing to pay £800 who wouldn't bid on hers becasue of the asking price.

aswellasyou · 30/07/2011 11:12

Saoirse, you keep borrowing my money! I think I've got about £4.37 in my purse now.

OP posts:
FriggFRIGG · 30/07/2011 11:15

ahhh,i see

but mine is a bit more 'used' and the hood is a bit brokenSad
it does have two bassinets, two footmuffs, two sets of carseat adaptors two raincovers,a sun mesh,etc....

so in theory,i should get a good price for it....

aswellasyou · 30/07/2011 11:17

I think you should do well out of it. There are probably people on MN who'll see it on the For Sale board and offer you millions for it!Wink

OP posts:
suzie38 · 30/07/2011 11:17

Yes that other one is too close to the selling price but then she hasn't exactly used it...But i think £800 for yours is do able once you get the other harness...Has it arrived yet???

Tiggywunkle · 30/07/2011 11:18

Frigg and I have similar dilemmas...an older baby but a toddler who wants to walk at times but is too unpredictable / tantrummy / grumpy / dawdly / unreasonable (well my DD anyway) and needs scooping up and strapping in! But trying to find a pushchair for an over 15kg that works, doesn't look like a pushchair with an empty seat but importantly..and critically for both of us has some decent storage for shopping, changing bag, scooter, balls, picnic etc is hard. I think the +one is the future....ie for two older children. It is due out in September (probably read that as October).

FriggFRIGG · 30/07/2011 11:18

not yet,sometime next week!

FriggFRIGG · 30/07/2011 11:19

tiggy summed that up very well.Smile
