This is as imaginative as I get!Wink
Frigg, my Mum works for the City Council doing disability adaptations to resident's houses. She goes to assessments with an OT, decides on adaptations needed, designs them, draws up plans, applies for planning permission and oversees the work. She's been in the same job since she was 18 so she's learnt a lot about all sorts of dsabilities along the way.

That's really weird. I actually have no explanation for what was going on there! Hmm

Oooooooooohhhhhhh most odd.......

FriggFRIGG · 29/07/2011 21:27

i do,
she's seen the price of the cheap ones,
shes annoyed as she wanted hers to go for more than it will,
because no one will bid higher than the cheapest on ebay,
but if she slates the other sellers, she thinks she'll get a higher price,as she has all the guarantees etc,to PROVE its not fake....

Tiggywunkle · 29/07/2011 21:37

She wants £699 BIN - I have listed my sun and raincovers separately, but even so it's less than hers, plus I will take sensible offers. The only difference I think is the cocoon??

TruthSweet · 29/07/2011 21:39

Sorry should have mentiond as thy are going into administration they aren't allowed to accept new orders but you can still buy in store (bit of a bun fight!). The pushchairs weren't were they normally are (2nd floor) but on the ground floor with the shoes and ladies clothes Hmm so potentially missed by bargain hunting pram afficionados.

Tiggywunkle · 29/07/2011 21:40

A random bit of information - the red seat cushions on the Verve are black on the reverse, so you have the choice of red or black :) Phil&Teds told us that!

Tiggywunkle · 29/07/2011 21:41

Ooooh...maybe we need a TJ Hughes outing...but I bet there's nothing there....I miss all the bargains! :(

aswellasyou · 29/07/2011 21:42

I saw that she's said £699 BIN. What a strange thing to do! You're more of a sleuth than me Frigg!Wink Tiggy, I hope you get loads more than she does!Grin

FriggFRIGG · 29/07/2011 21:53

i hope you do too, cheeky rascal!!

strangely,i quite like the look of it now...hmm but ive had LOTS of p&t's,and once they arrive,i fall out of love with them...hmmm....

Tiggywunkle · 29/07/2011 21:56

I am guessing she didn't expect me to be on here! I am still torn about ours. Hubby loves it. I love the way it looks. It was bought for us rather than BB. But I simply cannot fit any shopping or even a changing bag anywhere on it which renders it useless to me. It's so cool to look at...and I love the way it folds. But I struggled to lift it into the car boot! At least with something like the Peach or BJCS you may have several bits but they are easier to carry in a couple of goes. TBH it was bought to see which we preferred ie Verve or Duet. The only plus side is the Verve fits better in the boots without filling it...but where do I put my shopping, picnic, ball, toys, bucket and spade etc? I refuse to carry everything on my back when I am pushing a pushchair. And no...the panniers just don't suit the Verve!!

MonkeysPunk · 29/07/2011 23:12

That "not a mountain buggy" is a safetech double jogger. The brand makes triples too. There's a UK seller in Felixtowe I believe. It's massively heavy.
I'm sure the seller knew it wasn't a MB they're just name dropping to get picked up in more searches and playing daft to cover their arses.
It's not worth a lot and isn't particularly good imo. Avoid!

FriggFRIGG · 29/07/2011 23:18

thanks monkey!

Honeydragon · 29/07/2011 23:52

Well it's the last night if my holiday and I am really impressed with the bee plus, it fitted in the car boot with suitcases and a Labrador and has managed hills, cobbles the moors and

Sand!

It has been a absolute little gem, I am so pleased I took it and didn't get a cheap stroller, especially as we had one really windy say and it took all of 5 secs to out dd rf out the wind Smile

Tiggywunkle · 29/07/2011 23:58

Sand! Wow! I have to say I find it strange that the pushchairs that I think will cope well with sand don't and yet those that I think will struggle manage beautifully! The B-Dual is one of my best sand pushing pushchairs for example!

MonkeysPunk · 30/07/2011 00:03

I wonder how well the Vista manages sand? Or snow for that matter?
It definately copes better off road than the bugaboo cam did, so I have high hopes for it managing well with wintery weather!

Honeydragon · 30/07/2011 00:07

I wouldnt use it for a stroll or dog wall on the beach, but it quite happily got us and the beach bits to where we wanted to be Grin. Its really Blush to admit that I'm proud of my pushchair for such a sterling effort.

Tiggywunkle · 30/07/2011 00:17

When I get chance...and unpack (!) the Vista I will try and take it to the beach in the next few weeks. I think we plan to take two singles (shock horror) out tomorrow as I have singles stacking up here that I haven't yet taken out of the gates! Hubby always takes a single if he takes DD on her scooter or bike, or just nips to the shops. I meanwhile have to take a double!

MonkeysPunk · 30/07/2011 05:43

I will be taking my Vista on several trains today! It will be the first time I've used it on public transport! I know on the return journey I will have to bring it over a railway bridge! (lots of steps and no lift).

suzie38 · 30/07/2011 07:37

I like my tiny Citisport on trains because the bumper bar is totally fixed so i can safely pick it up with DD sitting in it to get on and off trains plus it was invaluable for carrying up and down tube steps with DD still sitting inside.

suzie38 · 30/07/2011 07:56

A pram shop not too far from me has the Strawberry on show now...Might pop along on Monday to have a look even though i really can't buy one now especially as someone on Facebook said it'll be November before they go on sale.

suzie38 · 30/07/2011 09:29

Someone a few days ago posted a link to a Cameleon copy...Anyway i was looking at the site this morning and they do a Vista copy as well...Given it appears to be a German company they're probably not too bad.

FriggFRIGG · 30/07/2011 09:50

I going to mothercare today to have a look at double buggys to shove in my parents boot.im getting fed up of hoiking big buggys wherever we go,or having to sling an uncooperative DS and push DD,or keep swapping them about....any recommendations??

i was thinking maclaren??

FriggFRIGG · 30/07/2011 09:50

oh yes and it MUST be CHEAP!

suzie38 · 30/07/2011 09:53

I personally would go for an umbrella fold for compactness especially if it's not going to be used all the time...If it's not easy to push, let the grandparents push it instead as they might not notice as much as a buggy addict would do!!!

FriggFRIGG · 30/07/2011 09:54

that was exactly my plan suzieGrin i doubt i will be pushing it much Wink
