This is as imaginative as I get!Wink
Frigg, my Mum works for the City Council doing disability adaptations to resident's houses. She goes to assessments with an OT, decides on adaptations needed, designs them, draws up plans, applies for planning permission and oversees the work. She's been in the same job since she was 18 so she's learnt a lot about all sorts of dsabilities along the way.

Wow...how come I never have bargains near me! I look every day!

aswellasyou · 27/07/2011 10:37

I never find them near me either.Sad I would have thought it would sell well being in London. The Flyer in Bristol didn't sell.

I've just been and looked and there's nothing today either :( What are you up to today? I am hoping Frigg picks up my ABC tonight after her lovely day in the New Forest. I miss being down south.

MonkeysPunk · 27/07/2011 12:41

I have seen the ABC in real life - you may need to put the youngest child in the lower seat - as there's not much headroom in the lower seat. They are incredibly strong and stable.
There's a mum of 6 or 8 children or so...including twins up at the school gates who has one, she's been using the same one for years now.
Apparently the all black one is made with a deeper seat than all the other colourways.

I too hope Friggfrigg has a fab day at the New Forest Festival, did she get a pram for the occasion in the end? Maybe she will buy one there - or perhaps buy a pony instead?!

Tiggywunkle · 27/07/2011 13:12

I was planning on putting the baby underneath simply because thats what the sellers did...but I am intrigued by whether its too tall or unstable or anything else so its good to know you think its very stable. Mine isn't all black :( Its got a blue lining from the looks of it. But its got the extras, stability kit, cosy toes etc. I am excited about it. They are made by the original Phil & Ted :)

My Vista and my Noa has arrived....hubby is intrigued by the Noa because he says its tiny. I dont know whether to open the Vista or wait for the Rumble seat coz I think the latter will be a good ten days or so.

LOL re Frigg buying a pony - I think she will need a cart to go with it!

Tiggywunkle · 27/07/2011 14:15

Oooooooohhhhh I love the Noa!!! This could be a pretty perfect stroller type pushchair....bearing in mind I haven't pushed it more than a few feet at present. So first impressions....neat and small folded. Simple to fold and unfold one handed. Great quality. It has four buggy type wheels - somehow I expected small wheels. Great sized accessible basket for a small pushchair. I am sure a changing bag will perch nicely. Nice deep seat - my 2.9 year old looks very comfy. Zip recline and the fabric folds form nice head support when upright. Good harness, buckle and good sized shoulder pads. Hood - good size but I guess I am used to large hoods. But better than some! Good footrest for a toddler and no plastic parts etc to rub a babys feet. Foot on and off brake (like the Zapp). The handle height feels fine...it's a bit taller than the Zapp...possibly still a tad low for me at 5ft 6ins but we will see when we test it out. There is a cute pull along telescopic handle although in real life I don't know how much you would realistically tow a buggy any distance. The Takeoff also has one and I never used it. My handle is sticking a bit when you put it down and to be honest the Noa is so light you would simply lift it. When would you tow a stroller????? I guess only if you were taking it just in case your toddler got tired??? The only negative I can see is fundamental to the design....ie it feels a bit bendy in the middle. It looks and feels solid but trying to push it with my toddler in was a bit unnerving! But she is at the top end of the weight limit. It doesn't flinch when she sits in. The Zapp feels much more sturdy. It's definitely one for true buggy addicts to try Wink

MonkeysPunk · 27/07/2011 14:41

Get the Vista out - get the vista out!!!!

I forgot to ask what colour you got - I have the lovely "Maya" (with ltd edition chassis).....The others I would have been interested in were Cole - or the Black one (Jake?).....

I think you might like the vista a lot unless it not being tiny really puts you off - although it's pretty small folded considering how big it is in use.

I think you might LOVE the vista shopping basket - today we hauled home 4 carrier bags of shopping (pretty full ones!), some raincoats, a LARGE photo from school (really long shape - would not have fitted in any other basket that's for sure!), some baby reins (little life ones - but not the back pack kind - I meant to tell you about these reins as they are the BEST if you have a child on a buggy board because you can put the handle over your wrist - and this set of reins fastens at the back to your kid cannot undo the clasp).
little life safety reins These reins are also good because the strap can be unclipped and the other bit left on comfortably while sitting in the pram - unlike the back pack which can get in the way. These reins are easier for me to hold onto while pushing the buggy than standard (clippasafe) reins due to wrist loop.

Tiggywunkle · 27/07/2011 15:40

I want the Rumble Seat here though....but I am tempted...but I won't then get to use it for a couple of weeks.

I got a red one...most of my pushchairs are red or black. My only concern is it looks like a metallic fabric so want to see what it's like.

It's the large basket that really appeals to me. I use a pushchair mainly for shopping or all day trips.

I had some Tommee Tippee reins like those but they just didn't sit right on DD. Do those sit correctly on your DCs chest? We have a Bumble Bee back pack and wrist reins at the minute.

MonkeysPunk · 27/07/2011 20:24

The Vista fabric does have a lovely sheen, so the red will be stunning!
There are some Maclaren Starck buggies on eBay usa. Seller has quoted $125 shipping, so a bargain I think. They come with hoods and raincovers. I think the hoods are silver I saw one on the maclaren fb page. They look lovely!

aswellasyou · 27/07/2011 20:31

The Noa sounds great! I was talking to Saoirse earlier about how much of a bargain it seems. I'll be waiting for your review post-use. Smile

I haven't opened the Vista yet...the children were being complete whatsits this afternoon. I did write an initial Noa review though and have been getting photos online eg the Peach, a set of six tandems side by side etc. They take soooo long to resize, watermark, rename, upload and check / sort! The tandem ones are staring at me over there >>> because I need to finish them off but I am stuck over here
