This is as imaginative as I get!Wink
Frigg, my Mum works for the City Council doing disability adaptations to resident's houses. She goes to assessments with an OT, decides on adaptations needed, designs them, draws up plans, applies for planning permission and oversees the work. She's been in the same job since she was 18 so she's learnt a lot about all sorts of dsabilities along the way.

Lol re the Hoover. Do any stroller boards have suspension? The Ultralight arrived minutes before the Ergo. I have more hope for it really but DD was NOT in the mood to stand still on a buggy board today...I just don't think she is ready for one yet...she's too prone to tantrums and being silly! But the Ultralight is much lighter (which I knew) but just looks kind of old fashioned next to the Ergo. It folds almost exactly the same length too hut chunkier which is surprising really given it's much shorter open. But it will get a run tomorrow when I go back for my missing shopping!

BTW am I the only one who hates ergonomically designed handles? Give me a nice round bar anyway. The Verve has one hand it hurt my palms. The Ergo one wasn't good either.

Tiggywunkle · 25/07/2011 20:50

Fingers crossed for your Orbit bits and pieces. I am excited for you! Has the Orbit left yet?

suzie38 · 25/07/2011 21:01

No...He's got to order one in first since he only added the black to the website especially for me before he'd got it in stock...Says that might take a week to get to him.

FriggFRIGG · 25/07/2011 21:50

oooh keep us updated with the orbit suzie, will you do us pictures once it arrives???

tiggy,if you mean weird sort of oval shaped ones like on the vibe v1,i HATE them with a vengeance.
i LOVE the mimas because its so nice and roundSmile

good luck with the superlite.
my DD,who is 3 now,is nowhere near ready to just stand on a buggy board or a little pearching seat, shes a bolter, and her tantrums are like nothing ive ever seen,i need to be able to Strap Her In!!

Tiggywunkle · 25/07/2011 22:09

Your DD must be in cahoots with my DD. I tried her standing on the back of the Joovy just outside the house and she did everything possible other than stand sensibly! I need to be able to strap her in too....one day I have to hope she stops being daft but after witnessing a child approx age 7 having a major tantrum in the supermarket today, you never know! I can remember having some interesting ones Blush so there's no hope for my daughter is there? Strangely none of my nanny charges ever had a tantrum Hmm

I love the Kobi handle too - that and the Contours are my favourites. The handles are like the Vibe - up and downy - rather than a flat bar.

MonkeysPunk · 26/07/2011 13:35

The larger of the Lascal buggy boards have suspension.... don't know about the smaller version as I never tried that one.
Used the piggyback to get DD3 to school faster today - It was relatively easy - and the whole buggy/piggyback runs along rather fast - the ball bearing wheels really are excellent quality!
I'd love to hear about the joovy superlight - hoping it works better due to shorter wheel base - but I agree it looks older fashioned which is a shame. The sit and stand I had years ago was the same design - although I don't know if it had ball bearing wheels or was the light version - it was the old babytrend one - anyway - it was surprisingly easy and good to use - just didn't look pretty -not even back then...I'm surprised they haven't changed to round tubes - or styled it more up to date than they have....maybe the US market isn't so fussy though?!

PS - DS is 3y and rarely has any tantrums - though is mad as a hatter and I cannot even trust him to walk nicely beside me without reins as he'd just run in the road and refuses to hold hands! He is the youngest though - so probably doesn't feel he has any competion in life! DD3 - age 7 can throw a good tantrum (thankfully once in a blue moon - and mostly in the house - not in public!).

Tiggywunkle · 26/07/2011 14:29

I do love the bright colours of the Ultralight but like you some round tubing would really help the look! I am planning on taking it out later. But I believe the back seat / stand still only has a weight limit of 15kg (and this is US weights which are usually better than the UK) whereas I am looking for something to take me beyond 15kgs....why is there only really Mountain Buggy looking sensibly at how to carry two older children? Not everyone's child can walk long distances or for many hours at the age of three...or be trusted by busy roads etc.
BTW just to add in DDs defence she is 99.9% a completely helpful lovely delightful child...just prone to the odd tantrum or wilful moment!
Glad the Piggyback ran well...if I like the Vista I can see me getting one!

FriggFRIGG · 26/07/2011 16:05

right,im going to the new forest show tomorrow,do i take the Kobi,
or risk taking the micralite with a sling, and maybe scooter???? Confused

MonkeysPunk · 26/07/2011 16:53

Oooh, what New Forest Show...... darn - why do I have one still at school that needs collecting tomorrow.....I could've gone too! Sad
I would take the Micralite and Sling.....just incase it's a mudbath there.... unless you're happy to hose off the Kobi afterwards....? It would be a good test for it mind you! Wink

MonkeysPunk · 26/07/2011 16:58

NF show looks FAB - but I really can't make it due to end of term madness, and other appointments (not on any of the days)!!! What a shame as I'm always looking out for things to do locally - having figured out I prob could not manage "Lollibop" singlehandedly on the train with all kids....... Confused

FriggFRIGG · 26/07/2011 17:29

see,now i want a nipper or an MB or even a cheapy double, totake with me,as i dont want the kobi to get battered, but i want a doubleSad

....i wondewr if theres one for sale somewhere i could pick it up on the way.... long shot....

saoirse86 · 26/07/2011 17:58

Oh frigg that's some serious addict stuff... "I'm going out for the day and I need a new buggy so I'd better buy one today" Wink

FriggFRIGG · 26/07/2011 18:54

I know...its not good is it!
im looking at a double maclaren,it'll be easy to chuck in the car and its in southampton, its a bit out of the way,10 mins or so,but i reckon my parent's would goo out of their way a bit to get something smaller,or else we are going to be very squashed with 5 of us,the kobi,a picnic, and all the toddler/baby crud i need.just waiting ont the seller to see if she has a BIN price...

thats pretty good justification.... right?!

( let me know if you guys see anything cheap...)

MonkeysPunk · 26/07/2011 19:02

What time are you leaving? There might be time to order a double bjcm from www.next.co.uk on morning delivery, pay for it after?

MonkeysPunk · 26/07/2011 19:09

Boots have refunded for the returned swift already! Mountain Buggy still haven't even been in touch regarding repairing under warranty, despite me contacting them again. All I get is the auto response. Considering I would've been without a buggy to use for over two weeks now had I not owned another one myself, that is shockingly poor service.

MonkeysPunk · 26/07/2011 19:13

Call at Westquays Mothercare, blag 10% off, or opposite there's Babies'r'us...for a double...

Tiggywunkle · 26/07/2011 19:16

Go and puck my double up and try it out ;)

Tiggywunkle · 26/07/2011 19:17

Pick up that should have been!

FriggFRIGG · 26/07/2011 19:21

no,it needs to be a lot cheaper than that....£50 MAXIMUM.

that is shocking about MB,when i email p&t about idiot DP putting the wheels on the wrong way around, and then not being able to get them off againHmm they replied within an hour...
still,im glad you got your refund, boots are fantastic,i returned my b-dual to them (faulty break) and they were really greatSmile

FriggFRIGG · 26/07/2011 19:22

Grin thanks guild, but i dont think it would fit with all the other crap stuff i need to bring.

thanks for that monkeys,i'll look at toys r us and mothercare now Smile

Tiggywunkle · 26/07/2011 19:35

0 - looks horrible!

The Kobi needs a smaller seat version...but then it wouldn't be an egg shaped Mima then Hmm which kind of defeats the point.

Strange re P&Ts and MB coz in the UK they should both go via Out n About.

FriggFRIGG · 26/07/2011 19:37

oh i know...i'll hate it immediately wont i....but the review sare good, and its cheap....maybe i could get my mum to push itWink

aswellasyou · 26/07/2011 19:38

Tiggy, I'm really disappointed about the Ergo. It had so much potential.Sad Monkeys, MB are shocking not getting back to you after two attempts!
I keep thinking about the white Kobi. Do you think I could take a baby into lectures so I don't have to pay for childcare?HmmGrin
