3.5 million. I would if I could

£60mn. But it’s One Hyde Park and I’m not a fan of the Candys.

Same! And not only that, but it is garish and I bet the neighbours would be awful!

CautiousLurker2 · 02/04/2026 00:15

£4.85m. On paper the same size and spec as my house but with the bonus of 2.9 acres. May have to buy a lottery ticket!!

PurpleFlower1983 · 02/04/2026 00:23

2.5m and no I wouldn’t. It’s beautiful but a new build and not my thing.

trumpisruin · 02/04/2026 00:25

3.5 million
I dont think I'd buy it as it's not really to my taste. Isnt that why 'abandoned celebrity mansions' is a genre? Too wacky inside & no-ones prepared to pay what the owner thinks it's worth.

hillyholman · 02/04/2026 00:26

Absolutely as I've wanted to live in this house since I was a little girl
Sadly way over my budget but, as it's been on the market for 9 months, do you think they'd accept a cheeky offer?

Can't get onto Zoopla, I'm caught in an infinite cloudflare 'verify you are a human' loop, so I am giving you the Rightmove house instead.

Just under £3m with 7 bedrooms and is Grade II listed. Looks lovely.

You mean you don't like the astroturf?

AllTheChaos · 02/04/2026 01:24

Exactly, @PickAChew ! Awful stuff!

Zoopla doesn't cover here, but on our local equivalent there are 3 at £2,700,000, all along the same road.

Number 1: nearly new build, spacious for a 4-bed but immensely dull. No.

Number 2: also 4-bed, similar age but a much nicer design and grounds. Still no though.

Number 3: gorgeous early Victorian 7-bed. Beautiful windows and decorative plaster. Lots of rooms and a sensible layout. Sympathetically modernised. Tennis court. But also a no, because like the others it's right on the seafront. A popular coastal path runs past the end of the garden, you get the full force of winter gales, and even a tiny rise in sea level will be problem. This one, unlike the others, I would buy if it were half a mile inland and up a bit of a hill. And if I had that sort of cash.

The most expensive one I'd seriously consider is another recently modernised early Victorian 'in the Scottish baronial style'. Five beds, a turret, lots of rooms.because of expansion into the attic. Still has a sea view but at a sensible.distance and elevation. No price given but sits in the listings between £1,950,000 and £2,200,000.

ProfessorBinturong · 02/04/2026 02:25

The most expensive one I would definitely buy of I could is an 1850s 5-bed gentleman's residence (with cottage, barn and stables) up in the woods. Five acres of grounds, mostly woodland, and a wine cellar. £1,750,000. Beautiful. And very private.

mypantsareonfire · 02/04/2026 02:25

3 million.

which is mental as I live in Dudley.

That 3 million pound house is in Harborne, Birmingham. Which is nice in parts but is surrounded by the hellhole that is Birmingham. Absolute fucking madness.

TheDogsMother · 02/04/2026 02:46

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/172929557#/?channel=RESBUY £16.5 million 😮. Looks like a lovely house though so I’d buy it if I had a huge lottery win. Rightmove as I couldn’t get Zoopla to search the area.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 02/04/2026 03:24

£1.9m and yes I’d buy it as it’s about a 3min walk to my kids’ school so would make my commute to work much quicker 😄

Happyhappyday · 02/04/2026 03:28

$20m, various houses on the water front. Some yes, some are pretty tacky!

mondaytosunday · 02/04/2026 05:01

Of me this minute: $3,695,000 as I’m in a not particularly great area of Boston, MA currently. Of my usual London home: £7,250,000.

whirlyhead · 02/04/2026 07:26

24m € but I live in Mallorca and no I would not buy it as no way Amazon would be able to deliver there. Also, all that up keep…

RampantIvy · 02/04/2026 07:28

An 8 bedroom, 5 bathroom farmhouse for £2.5m.

thunderful · 02/04/2026 07:41

£3m but it has a one bed annexe and 5 eco lodges as well!

Next one is £2.4m without all the extras.

LoudSnoringDog · 02/04/2026 07:44

£4.8m

not my style

MiddleAgedDread · 02/04/2026 07:51

Excluding the aparthotel at £7.5m, this is the most
expensive residential property and I’m moving in tomorrow if I win the lottery or find £3.75m down the back of the sofa! www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/70932967/
