Does this flooring look ridiculous?

Had new chevron flooring laid today and it doesn’t look right to me. I think the chevrons don’t marry up and it just looks a bit odd. Is it because of the size of the room?

Any advice would be appreciated

Shouldn't the chevron pattern continue along the length of the floor? It's because it randomly changes direction that it looks odd

It hasn't been laid properly so the chevron pattern isn't showing right. They need to redo it.

Yes it's not been laid in the correct pattern. I had a similar floor and was there when the fitter started to go wrong and I pointed it out. They can't see it when they are on top of it. They should have stepped back and checked at the end.

That’s really really bad OP. The lines in each strip need to be pointing the same way. In yours they randomly change direction at some points.

Thank you for confirming my suspicions! I’m gutted as it cost a lot of money. I hate complaining but will need to bite the bullet and complain tomorrow

At least 3.of those planks have the pattern facing the wrong way so rather than /\ you have //.

I had a similar issue when Karndean flooring was laid in my kitchen, the fitter had created a pathway with the darker planks. He came back and refitted it, it just wasn’t obvious to him when he fitted it.

It doesn't look like it's been laid in the right pattern, I don't know if this photo of ours helps at all but the chevrons are kind of staggered.

It hasn't been trimmed to size or anything. Terrible , I sent it to my friend who runs a wood floor shop and he said was the fitter blind?

It looks like cheap adhesive floor tiles stuck down wrong. Definitely complain and get them to do it properly
