Does this flooring look ridiculous?

Had new chevron flooring laid today and it doesn’t look right to me. I think the chevrons don’t marry up and it just looks a bit odd. Is it because of the size of the room?

Any advice would be appreciated

That looks heaps better , it doesn’t look too busy now either . Well done @Chevr for standing your ground , did he have to go for extra packs or was what he took up ok to reuse ?

He had to get one more pack, hopefully he doesn’t try and get me to pay for it (I won’t be!)

That looks great now @Chevr. I looked at your photo last night and felt a bit seasick! Call me cynical but I think he knew he'd ballsed it up (when he stood back and looked at the floor how could he not?) and hoped you'd not notice or be too meek to make a fuss. I'm amazed at how some people think they can get away with ridiculous/obvious mistakes.

He may well be a great joiner but a crap floor fitter considering he doesn't seem to have much experience lol well done on getting it resolved.

Yes me too, I went to bed last night with a headache from looking at it so much! Yes there’s no way he looked at that yesterday and thought it looked good. I’m surprised the two young boys working with him didn’t say anything to him, how can 3 people think that looks good!

I looked back at his social media photos and found the flooring he done on another job last year which is the same. It looks awful, he made the same mistake. It’s a shame that the customer never questioned it!

@PokerFriedDips it did, yes! Looks great now. The rest of the work was also completed to a high standard. He was a bit arsey about having to rip it up and re do it but I’m glad I stood my ground as it looked awful.
