So you can tell the pictures aren't black and white. I wouldn't even view a house that dull, made me feel depressed.

irregularegular · 15/10/2021 12:00

Gosh that's just awful. All that money and that is where they live! Still, if that makes them happy, would be boring if we all had the same taste etc etc....

It is hard to believe anyone actually lives there. But then again the wardrobe is very full. And a similar colour scheme!!!

Do you think the images may be partly artificially generated?? Or someone thought it was too grey (very popular) and wanted to jazz it up a bit. But failed.

Gonnagetgoing · 15/10/2021 12:01

Was going to say this (and I worked for an architects who did work in Birmingham) - some Birmingham places/residents seemed to lack taste from what I recall... hides.

MumDad1958 · 15/10/2021 12:01

Oh I am going to get shot down in flames here, I know, but ........... this is my dream house! I absolutely love it. I love the minimalistic look - black, grey & chrome with splashes of colour. Any colour but red is my favourite. I dress like this too - usually black & grey with a red handbag, or red shoes, scarf etc.

dongke · 15/10/2021 12:01

It's awful. I can get over the fact they ran with a colour scheme but all the furniture looks cheap & is the wrong proportions.

TakeYourFinalPosition · 15/10/2021 12:01

Reckon Grealish lived here? Grin

The red is to relieve the fucking awful grey.

ChippyDucks150 · 15/10/2021 12:02

That house is utterly vile - and I usually find something good in everything!

irregularegular · 15/10/2021 12:02

OMG have you watched the video!!!!!?

LemonSwan · 15/10/2021 12:03

Wow. I have never seen 10000 sqft so consistently ruined.

Firesidefox · 15/10/2021 12:03

That is awful! You can tell no woman has been involved in the styling of that house.

pizzaobsessed · 15/10/2021 12:03

Proof that money doesn't buy you style!

bunnybuggs · 15/10/2021 12:04

It is way overpriced - there are some lovely styled 1930s ish houses in that road - sold prices seem to suggest that this sold for £850,000 in Feb 2021 - or maybe there were 2 of them

Gastonia · 15/10/2021 12:06

The garden will take years
Yes, I also wondered if it was astroturf Grin

godmum56 · 15/10/2021 12:07

How silly...that's been photoshop filtered. Very offputting.

ClaudiaWankleman · 15/10/2021 12:07

The video is excellent. The shot of the agents walking down the drive like they're the next Bond is my favourite bit.

I also especially like the wardrobe picture. The owner's clothes match the grey and red colour scheme. Absolutely bonkers.

this looks like that house - same red!
Ah - could be there was a house there before sold in 2015 which got demolished and this monstrosity built.

MuchTooTired · 15/10/2021 12:09

I looked at the pics and thought the owner has ocd like I do as it’s very equal and pleasing in its precision. I did notice a rogue purple in the wardrobe on picture 19 which made me chuckle to myself (I appear to have got quite invested in this).

Still, I’d go for the serial killer house out of the two. 6k more sqft of space, and I’d redecorate to my tastes. Or, buy neither and get one that is actually my cup of tea!

TheOnlyMrsM · 15/10/2021 12:10

Oh my eyes, my eyes.

knittingaddict · 15/10/2021 12:12

Some of those photos don't look real, like the artists impression of a soon to be built aprtment block. Very odd and off putting.

ohdeerdolly · 15/10/2021 12:12

That's hilarious. Even the clothes in the wardrobe are red and grey!

ElephantOfRisk · 15/10/2021 12:12

And the rooms are oddly too big. The snug is almost bigger than my entire downstairs, it's not really "snug". No warmth at all about the house. That's some sort of filter used to emphasise the red also.

If I had that sort of money, I'd be spending on something else. I mean it's only decor I suppose but it would take a lot to inject any sort of soul into that.

JauntyJinty · 15/10/2021 12:12

I think the estate agent has found the setting I used to have on my old camera - It shoots black and white, except picking up a few bright bits of colour. I bet they think they'r being realy arty!

KirstenBlest · 15/10/2021 12:13

Are they black and white photos touched up with red?

NomoreSmiggle · 15/10/2021 12:14

It’s definitely an oversized house. Whoever commented on Grealish I wouldn’t be surprised! But looking at street view it’s not all footballer’s houses
