HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The video is bloody priceless.
I love it when men take themselves too seriously.

Blondiney · 15/10/2021 12:45

Easier to torch it and start again. That grey fad is the worst thing to happen in home decor in decades, it's just loathsome.

Eddielzzard · 15/10/2021 12:45

It all looks CGI to me. Especially the video Grin

Leftbutcameback · 15/10/2021 12:46

I think the EA found the saturation filter on the photos!

Teateaandmoretea · 15/10/2021 12:47

It's okay they'll take the red with them

A bigger negative is that the road is busy, narrow and has no pavement so if you want to walk outside your house you can't.

Maybe I'm not posh enough but I couldn't live in a house I couldn't walk out of.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA The video is bloody priceless. I love it when men take themselves too seriously.
The video reminds me of this one:

The same grim over-seriousness and ‘gives a completely different message to the one the estate agent was going for’.

comfortablyfrumpy · 15/10/2021 12:48

Don't know what's worse, the house or the video. Both are awful!

Sprig1 · 15/10/2021 12:48

10,000sq ft! Why is anyone who wants a house that big going to buy that (and for that price)? It's like a 1980's timewarp with that decor.

nephthys · 15/10/2021 12:48

Interior design by Dunelm

Threewheeler1 · 15/10/2021 12:50

Yep, the empty gardens are awful. You'd think the developers could landscape the garden for that money. Not a single plant in a huge space.
What depresses me most is when you think what might have been on the plot before, and was knocked down to throw up a cheaply built tacky grey rendered lump. There's loads of it going on where I am and the price tags are unbelievable.

MadisonAvenue · 15/10/2021 12:50

@Mildura

That is quite revolting.

Very strange, it's clearly a newbuild, and has been dressed by an interior design firm of sorts, albeit not a very good one, but why hang clothes up in the wardrobes?

It’s odd isn’t it, it’s not just a few items of clothing hanging up but the rails and shelves are full.

It’s horrible, it looks so cold. The bathroom reminds me of a gym or football club changing room.

mountbattenbergcake · 15/10/2021 12:50

Souless.

mountbattenbergcake · 15/10/2021 12:51

Soulless

VenusClapTrap · 15/10/2021 12:51

A friend was house sitting a place very very similar to that recently. She invited a bunch of us round for drinks one evening. Nobody knew quite what to say when we were given a tour (it belonged to her relative so we had to be polite). It was impossible to relax in the massive, sterile, echoey open plan lounge area, and one by one we made our excuses and left early 😬

Peanutsandchilli · 15/10/2021 12:51

Look on street view. The front middle of the house and window frames are quite a dark grey. Those picture have been messed with to high heaven.

There's the added bonus of the motorway on your doorstep.

Bloody awful.

Echobelly · 15/10/2021 12:52

Because someone thinks it's exquisite good taste, I suppose.

Idontlike · 15/10/2021 12:52

Without the red you would think the photos were black and white!

What a dismal interior once the red accessories are removed.

godmum56 · 15/10/2021 12:53

I couldn't watch the vid, the sped up bit at the beginning made me nauseous

mountbattenbergcake · 15/10/2021 12:54

I wonder if they're trying to re-create the effect of the little girl in the red coat in black and white Schindler's List.

Sportsnight · 15/10/2021 12:54

It does look to be within earshot of the motorway so useful for commuting?

tcjotm · 15/10/2021 12:55

That rug looks like what might happen if you fell down those stairs. It looks like a weirdly neat crime scene.

diddl · 15/10/2021 12:55

Presumably if you bought it you could decorate & accessorise as you wanted to.

It wouldn't put me off if I liked the house.

Looks crammed in & small garden though.

PermanentlyDizzy · 15/10/2021 12:55

This house is local to me and has been for sale for a very long time, pretty much since it was built. In fact I’m not sure if anyone does live there or if they have just staged it to look like they do.

It used to be a lovely road, full of quirky older houses, but there has been a trend recently of buying houses there for £1.5m ish, demolishing them and replacing with this sort of property, which they then try to resell for £3m plus.

It’s always been an expensive road, but is now a rat-run from the villages to the M42. There are much nicer areas locally where you can buy similarly priced properties in much more scenic and quieter locations. I have no idea why anyone would want to live along there, but properties - other than this one - do seem to sell (usually followed by a major renovation knocking the soul out of beautiful older houses).

TheAntiGardener · 15/10/2021 12:56

Reminds me powerfully of those grey-tone photos of London with a bus in bright red.

I feel it’s a bit of a slur on poor footballers to suggest they would necessarily like this. I mean, I remember seeing photos of Ryan giggs’ place and disapproving of how he’d torn down a period villa to create something so mediocre, but it was oozing personality compared to that!

maofteens · 15/10/2021 12:57

Yea I though footballer too - taking that grey trend to the next level, but red being their fave colour. The rooms are totally soulless. Looks like some sort of decorator who only does office buildings had a go. I'd be depressed there. But you can tell they've enhanced that red colour to a ridiculous degree.
