The kitchen part was actually quite reasonably priced. I've read some threads on here where people have said that you have to spend an absolute fortune. Our kitchen was less than £15k including units, appliances and work tops.

Here's mine, done beginning of this year

Here is my humble kitchen extension, I really need some up to date photos, this was installed 2 years ago, this is it when it was first done. It looks dark but it isn't, just a bad photo, hence needing new ones.

Loving all these! Hoping to be able to resurrect this thread and add pictures of our new kitchen at the end of the summer...

Marmite it's lovely ! Do you mind me asking where you got your kitchen from ? I'm looking for a kitchen that can go to the ceiling to allow cupboards above a fridge freezer...

Lollipopgirl8 · 12/07/2015 17:55

Justweeone I love your kitchen, may I ask where it is from and was it expensive... I'm looking for that type of look but I haven got a massive kitchen

Marmitelover55 · 12/07/2015 18:01

didireally thank you. It's from:
pebblekitchens.co.uk/
Ours is painted mdf which I don't think is on their website yet. It was made to measure but cheaper than Magnet Smile

Lollipop- it was actually our living room, we reconfigured 3 rooms, the living room, entrance hall way( it was large and a waste of space) and the dining room( again really big, this is what became the family room off the kitchen).
The old kitchen then became our sitting room. The actual kitchen cost about 12 k, the whole project £25k but included plumbing, electrics and plastering to all 3 rooms. The £25k also included the appliances, Mercury range and extractor, built in microwave, fridge and freezer. The floor was already there.
I fell in love with a Plain English but for just the kitchen it was £45 k!!! Found a local kitchen company and he handmade them and painted ( hard wick white) them to our design.
All the trades we had used before so they liased with each other and were brilliant.
The pic was about 2 years ago the dresser is now grey, rocking chair yellow, different pics as well as oilcloth. But the colour of the units mean you can interchange . Have made noises about painting the units a different colour with Dh- didn't go down well!!.

justaweeone · 12/07/2015 18:51

Honey, of course a lab is compulsory . I have 2 in mine with lots of dog hair on the floor!!

HoneyDragon · 12/07/2015 19:02

Yy to lots of dog hair on the floor. No food though, never need to sweep up any food for some reason.....
