oneplan you painted that cupboard beautifully. How did you do it?

Love the mouse home too! Grin

Tizwozliz · 21/07/2015 18:07

Tiz you did that for £3k!?? Please tell me how?

We actually went slightly over budget so ended up being 3.2k for units, worktops and appliances.

We spent £2000 on units, dishwasher and a fridge at Ikea
£1000 on Neff oven, extractor, hob, Franke sink and tap (we splashed out here)
£200 on worktops

Did it all ourselves so no fitting costs, which is obviously the major saving.

Ah - thank you - a lovely man called 'Steve the painter' comes every couple of years and does the kitchen for me - in what ever colour takes my fancy - it's been white - blue - and Is now moles breath below and white above ! The blue can be seen on the link a few posts previous !!
(It's on my houzz pro age somewhere !!)

My kitchen mostly funk today - just missing two handles and a door!

OnePlan what a lovely arrangement to have. I bloody luff painted kitchens. I saw your blue on Houzz, too. V. Gd!

bostonpj I do like your tiling behind your cooker. Fab kitchen.

littlem133 · 22/07/2015 07:46

Loving this thread. I would add my kitchen but it's a boring rental house and I don't know anything about the kitchen! New house kitchen being planned next week. Getting some fab ideas off here.

Bostonpj · 22/07/2015 08:29

Belleview - I searched for a long time for reasonably priced Moroccan looking tiles and found those at wallsandfloors! However I then had to buy double the amount we needed so masses leftover. Now it's all finished I love it. A huge improvement to the dodgy space we had before with the cooker set in just behind the door!

pinechesterdrawers · 22/07/2015 20:45

ah, glad i popped back in - some more beauties

Gatekeeper · 27/07/2015 09:40

Oneplan I love your mouse/mole hole. I love little quirky touches like that- ones that make me smile Smile

MatildaTheCat · 27/07/2015 14:39

Here's my new kitchen, I love the mosaic tiles above the hob. The kitchen looks a bit dark as taken against the light but isn't really.

I think I was only fully happy when, after a few month, I realised I wasn't scrutinising it every time I walked in and it wasn't The New Kitchen any more.Smile

That looks lush www Smile

goodasitgets · 27/07/2015 16:39

Mine is nowhere near the other photos! But it's an apartment and I specifically bought the place because it has a decent sized kitchen rather than one cupboard and a hob. It's actually a U shape so the units run down the other side too

MameHootieBench · 28/07/2015 07:58

123rd · 28/07/2015 19:27

Oh Matilda, that looks very similar to what I'm aiming for...what worktops??

KittyCatKittyCat · 28/07/2015 19:42

Love this thread! Please keep them coming as I'm at the planning stage and trying to see how grey could work in all sorts of ways.

wickedwaterwitch · 02/08/2015 00:30

Hello, whoever asked, I had my kitchen units made by a local kitchen firm.

So they made cupboards, a new front for the dresser and soft close drawers

The tiles at the back of the hob are Fired Earth moustier oyster

The worktops are oak, from the same firm. A local carpenter installed it all.

I bought taps and the sink separately. I asked Armac Martin to make the drawer handles for me. The whole thing cost £12k (including the range)

wickedwaterwitch · 02/08/2015 00:31

And there aren't any edging tiles, no.
