Medical abortion fear

I took my first tablet yesterday and due to take my next lot tomorrow. I’m so scared, I’ve read so many posts and terrified myself into their being issues or it not working.
im 5 weeks. I’m a nurse so I feel like I’m very aware of the medical side and what can go wrong :(

Were everybodies tests negative or faint positive after 2 weeks? Did you use the test that the clinic gave you? I know different clinics give different instructions but I was only given one test to be done after 3 weeks. I really appreciate everybody posting...I may not post much but I do read everyone's post..it's hard with 2 kids...but it feels like all you lovely lot are holding my hand going through this process xx

Yes, mine is to be taken 3 weeks after, which for me is the 2nd July. I did a normal pregnancy test a few days ago as I had one left and it was completely negative, not a hint of a second line, which surprised me as they say HCG can stay in your system for weeks afterwards. So hoping the termination test will be negative too when I take it 🤞🏻

My test is three week later so will be 7 July. I have got a digital test left but I dare not use it in case it says positive still as I will freak out 🤣

Is it 3 weeks from taking the first or second set of pills?

I’ve taken the first pill today. I have 100% made up my mind three days ago, but it took me some time to put my fear aside and actually take the pill. I’m so scared right now…Reading that it wasn’t as bad as feared for some people slightly reassures me, but still…anyone going through the same situation right now?

@heartbroken22 oh bummer ! Just read aftercare it’s 3 weeks after misoprostol so second lot. I assumed from the first pill lol so mine is Friday the 8 July.

@Willow8383 please don’t be scared, i won’t lie it’s not the best time of your life but honestly you will get through it and if you need any reassurance just jump on here or message, sending a hand hold

I took my second pills on Wednesday and only started bleeding properly this morning. I was still able to pick my toddler up from preschool at 13:30.

The first day I just had cramps no bleeding, yesterday nothing and today bleeding no cramps.

I am/was only 4 weeks along so I think that plays a role and all bodies are definitely different.

Be kind to yourself and really take it one hour at a time xx

Hi everyone. I’ve picked up my tablets now - how did you decide how to take the 2nd lot?
I want to take them early enough in the evening to give them a chance to work before I go to bed but that means I’m going to be running around doing bedtime with young DC.. Will I still be able to talk as normal if I take them via my gums?
I know this seems like a ridiculous question.

@Undecided111 I took them vaginally and then waited 4 hours for the blood to appear.

I'll be 3 weeks on Thursday but I've been wiping today and have got red blood. Only when I wipe. Concerning?

The second set started to work after around 90/120 minutes for me...
I took mine at 5pm after I'd prepped the tea n set the table n the house was presentable..
i dissolved them between cheek n gum n then went for a shower n hair wash and got in pjs...
Make sure u have a hot water bottle ready..

Talking isn't an issue but around 9pm my mouth and throat started to hurt...

@Undecided111 I took all 6 tablets vaginally as the midwife said you’re less likely to have any side effects and she was right as I didn’t get any thankfully.

@heartbroken22 I would call the clinic/provider and just check. I know mine told me bleeding could stop and start for a few weeks.

Unfortunately bedtime takes hourrrrss in this house and neither child will sleep without me there. I could honestly cry about the fact that I can’t even figure out how to even fit my own bloody abortion around the children I have!
Think I’m just going to take the first pill now-ish and then I’m locked in for 24 hours tomorrow and I’ll just have to figure it out…

Try thinking if it would work if u take the second set an hour before they normally fall asleep... that way u will have maximum time to relax while the procedure starts to happen n kids will b sleeping..
It plays so heavy on the mind while still trying to stay normal for others...

I was the same @Undecided111 😢 The guilt was just overwhelming at times and made so much more real every time I took/inserted a tablet. Reach out if you need more support when you take your next ones… 💐

I've just taken the hcg that you take after 3 weeks and it's very faint positive. Should I be concerned? Feel like I should wait a week and take a normal test. Slightly heartbroken at what I've lost x

Thanks 😊 - I am ok for now. One of the few times I’ve ever seen DH cry. Slept with a child on each arm which I needed.
I think this evening I’m going to take the pills vaginally at the same time as I order a massive takeaway pizza so I can still eat..! And then just hope for the best.
I haemorrhaged badly after both DC so that is my fear but I have had miscarriages before, whilst trying for my DC, and actually they were ok so I’m hoping it’ll be more like that.

@heartbroken22 Did you take it after 3 weeks? If you did then you need to contact your provider as you may have retained tissue that needs removing.

@Undecided111 I did that, managed to eat a takeaway, which I didn’t envision at all but I thought if it got worse at least I’d eaten and wouldn’t need to worry about that. Bless your DH 💐 It’s such an emotional time isn’t it 🥺 I hope your experience isn’t too bad, we’re here if you need us 🥰

@Theoriginalinvisiblewoman yeah I'm bang on 3 weeks today and it's very faint. Thank you I've tried ringing but no one's picking up. I'll try again. Didn't really want to ring them because I remember everything but I'm going to have to just to be safe.
