I took my first tablet yesterday and due to take my next lot tomorrow. I’m so scared, I’ve read so many posts and terrified myself into their being issues or it not working.
im 5 weeks. I’m a nurse so I feel like I’m very aware of the medical side and what can go wrong :(

@Jackster22 it definitely is a weird time! Hopefully work will give you the distraction you need, I really hope you start to feel more normal soon xx

Pregnantandinshock · 21/06/2022 15:08

How is everyone doing? I’m on day 11 post first tablet and have had no bleeding now for a few days. I’m feeling fine physically, emotionally I have been a bit up and down (more than I expected if I’m honest) but I expect that will get better in time. My sore boobs disappeared towards the end of last week so all my pregnancy symptoms have now gone. I took a pregnancy test today, as I had one left over from the bundle I bought and to my surprise it was negative without a hint of a second line (I expected it might have a faint second line) so I’m hoping I will get a strong negative when I take the test BPAS sent to me on 2nd July. I’m now wondering when my periods will return, how heavy they will be and if they will be all over the place or not! 🫣

Zozo22 · 21/06/2022 21:25

Hi @Pregnantandinshock I’m happy to hear that physically you’re doing great! Emotionally it’s a difficult one isn’t it?! I’ve been the same, even though I know I made the right choice my emotions are all over the place….. probably the hormones that will hopefully settle down for us soon 🙏🏻🤞🏻
I took my first tablet Thursday evening at 10pm then waited until Saturday morning at 10am to insert the next 4….. I woke up Sunday and my nausea had gone and boobs were less sore than they were….. today my bleeding is less than my period and my boobs are thankfully back to normal…. But just like you struggling a little emotionally but hoping as the days pass that will pass too🤞🏻
Really good news about your test result xx

Pregnantandinshock · 21/06/2022 21:49

@Zozo22 Thank you, yes it has been difficult emotionally, much more than I expected! I think because I never had a ‘yearning’ to be a Mum (didn’t have a great role model, unfortunately my Mum is a covert narcissist 🙄) and I also didn’t think I could get pregnant due to health reasons, it hit me like a ton of bricks when I found out I was. Although, like you, I know I made the right choice for my situation as it currently is, I still wish I could have continued and had the baby 😢 I never thought I would feel that way, but it’s different once there is a possibility of a baby ‘there’. I’ve just tonight been discussing with my husband the possibility of us actively trying in the future if I can get my health issues sorted as I feel after this I want to keep my options open (never say never and all that). It might just be the hormones though, like you say! 🤪 I’m glad you’re doing OK and your experience has been much like mine, so much better than we both expected! 🙂 And that’s something to be grateful for. Thank you, I was surprised, although it may just be that any remaining HCG is very watered down as I do drink 3 litres of water a day and my positive test lines weren’t as dark as the control line either, probably for the same reason! 🫣 xx

Hi everyone- hope it's ok jumping on here!

I took the 4 miprostol 3 hours ago, only have mild cramps no spotting?

Did anyone else wait so long for any bleeding...

Xxx

Zozo22 · 22/06/2022 11:22

Hi @itsonlyme44 have you taken the other two tablets yet? I had very mild hardly noticeable cramps and very little bleeding until i dissolved the second two orally x

itsonlyme44 · 22/06/2022 11:27

I don't live in the UK, here they only give you the 4...

the leaflet says "cramps and bleeding usually start 1-4 hours after, but can take up to 24 hours".

🤦‍♀️

heartbroken22 · 22/06/2022 12:42

I think mines took like 5-6 hours. I just went to sleep and woke up with bleeding. Maybe give it time? @itsonlyme44

heartbroken22 · 22/06/2022 12:47

On day 13 the brown spotting stopped. Now 2 days after I've got red tinges in my cervical mucus. I'm just worried I've got something left over. Is it normal?

Also did everyone do a pregnancy test at 3 weeks?

Gkrr10 · 22/06/2022 13:05

I had no substantial bleeding for about 18 hours then I got another dose as they thought I needed more x

@itsonlyme44 ah right ok, not to worry just give it time, it may take longer with only 4 tablets…. Keep us updated with how it goes….. I took my 4 at 10am Saturday just gone and it was more or less over by 3pm….no cramps after that just bleeding with a few very small clots….. today my bleeding is very light and all pregnancy symptoms have vanished also x
@heartbroken22 i think what your describing sounds pretty normal, as long as there is no pain or nasty smell I’m sure it’s fine x

Thanks yes as soon as I got up and started moving (I was in bed all morning), I started spotting a little, still no bleeding but let's see xx

heartbroken22 · 22/06/2022 17:06

@Zozo22 thank you. I'm wiping like mad sometimes thinking I'm going to bleed again x

itsonlyme44 · 22/06/2022 18:06

It's been 10 hours now, really mild cramps all day, light pink liquid on pad but no blood.

Went to loo now and a roughly one inch jelly like gray/brown clot thing came out.

I am very early (4 weeks tomorrow) so am thinking maybe it's actually happening 🤔

Gkrr10 · 22/06/2022 18:21

i went for a shower and had a wee hook about with my fingers (tmi graphic!) but I found the tablets were very drying vaginally and when I introduced some water up there it helped get everything started x

Hi Everyone, so glad to hear everyone is doing well; I have been the same emotionally a bit up and down but know 100% it was the right thing but it’s still hard. @itsonlyme44 i took my first four around 12.30 and only had slight cramping but did bleed before the second lot, so had to take them orally and within an hour I was in pain and bleeding a lot xx

brownbeauty80 · 22/06/2022 20:41

Gkrr10 · 23/06/2022 17:12

Hope everyone’s good. I’m feel back to pretty much normal. Also no regrets but feeling the what ifs too. My friend is pregnant and would be 4 weeks ahead of me so I think I’ll always see that along side - but I know it was right for us. Lots of love xxx

Pregnantandinshock · 23/06/2022 20:18

@Gkrr10 Me too, I know it was the right thing for me in my current health situation (since the termination my slipped discs/nerve pain are flaring up massively 😳😩) but I will always wish things could have been different. I would have been due on my DH’s birthday so that will always remind me of what could have been… 😢 Let’s hope we all get a negative when we do our final tests and are able to move onwards and upwards🤞🏻💐

Zozo22 · 23/06/2022 21:11

@Gkrr10 it’s lovely to hear that your feeling more yourself now….. like you I don’t have any regrets as it was definitely the right decision for our family, but I do feel a little sad about it all as it’s not a position I ever thought I’d find myself in! ( contraception failure) And again like you I’m feeling like my normal self again…. I’m completely confident that my test in two weeks will be negative, so not even thinking about that to be honest! Thanks for the support from you and everyone else on here when I needed it most, it really got me through it all xx

Gkrr10 · 23/06/2022 22:38

I really hope one day someone reads this post from start to finish with the same fears and worries & see how it all works out okay in the end 🤍

itsonlyme44 · 24/06/2022 06:28

I am nearly 48 hours after taking the misoprostol - bleeding only started really in the early hours of this morning. So I guess it shows all bodies are different.

I am only 4 weeks and did read that may contribute to later bleeding.

This thread has been a huge support X

Jackster22 · 24/06/2022 08:29

I really hope all our final tests are negative too, can’t believe it’s been a week already, still bleeding but getting lighter apart from one heavy cramp and heavy bleeding/small clot yesterday afternoon, just taken it day by day. I really hope that this thread helps someone too as much as it has helped us. Definitely not felt like I was alone. @itsonlyme44 hopefully you are over the worse 🤞🏻 And it’s so true we are all different but hopefully all get the same end result xx
