Am also seeing a consultant about my Thyroid as they just keep upping my meds so am glad that I get to speak to someone about it!

Hope all you yummy mummies are ok and enjoyin the weather, I personally miss the snow as we work in an un air conditioned glass fronted building so warm isn't even close!

Hevster · 24/05/2010 12:57

BabyB hope all goes well, mine is tomorrow!
Sunshine is still baking here and I am, for once, feeling relatively normal (no nausea today!!!!!!!!!) so have spent the entire morning washing all DD's baby clothes that have been stored in the loft - at least they are drying quickly and I feel like I have achieved something for a change!

Good luck with the scans everyone else and MMooMar sorry about your Dad.

babybunting2010 · 24/05/2010 13:20

Thanks KFW and Hevster, am just munching way through Choccy bar as apparently the caffeine caffiene (Whichever spelling is correct) in chocolate might mean the baby moves around more.

Yeah finding out the sex, can't beleive at the end of the day I SHOULD know whether I am having a Son or a Daughter!!!! AHHHHHHH THAT'S MASSIVE NEWS!!!!! OMG soooooo excited!!!!

Sorry had to get that out!

Soo funny baby

Made me laugh out loudand I really needed that - not sure if it's tiredness, heat or what but my nausea and uncontrollable wretching seems to have returned.

Lovely to hear all the scan gossip though - keep up the good work ladies!

babybunting2010 · 25/05/2010 08:53

I AM HAVING A LITTLE GIRL!!!!! YEAH!!!!!

So unbeleiveably happy!!!!

Haven't stopped smiling since I found out!

PatsyIsPreggers · 25/05/2010 09:04

Congratulations babybunting!!! That's great news. The scan sounds fab.

Mine's on Thursday and can't wait to see the little blighter. Not felt it at all yet and seems like such a loooong time since the last scan. sigh...

babybunting2010 · 25/05/2010 09:09

Has anyone else got to go for other scans, I've been booked in for at 28 week and 34 week scan... any ideas why?

Patsy it is the most incrdible thing ever. Don't worry about not feeling it move much, I have hardly felt her at all but on the screen she was moving round and kicking and everything!

DillyDora · 25/05/2010 10:23

Hurray! Babybunting! And thanks for comforting comments about her zooming about and you not feeling her. If one more person says 'have you felt the baby move' and gives me 'that look' when I say I am not sure I will thump them!

Lovely lovely, can't wait for mine (June 3rd...sigh)

PatsyIsPreggers · 25/05/2010 10:35

Sounds lovely to see her wriggling around like that. Can't advise on the extra scans though unfortunately. In a way I think it sounds nice you'll get to see your LO again before the birth, but that's probably completely the wrong thing to say. My SIL is going to be induced for DC4 next week and she has had scans every 2 weeks during this pregnancy as she had complications with the last, so I think if it was anything really serious you'd be booked in for more than this.

Jacksmybaby · 25/05/2010 11:40

Hurrah babyb!! Lovely news.

The extra scans will be because of your thyroid I should think. I am having them at 28 and 36 weeks (although last pg - different hospital but same thyroid problem - I didn't have any extra scans so obviously policies differ).

Hope yours goes well today Hevster.

Hevster · 25/05/2010 15:40

Hello Ladies, Hurrah for girls BabyB we are having another girl too, scan all went well and got some wicked pics. Good luck with your scans the rest of you. Off to think of girls names now!

RooBear · 25/05/2010 15:45

hello all just checking in x

Jacksmybaby · 25/05/2010 15:47

Great news Hevster! Glad all was well. That's all girls then so far except for Katy86, I think?!

Daynee · 25/05/2010 15:51

Congrats baby!! Great news, and so so exciting!
Dilly - I know exactly what you mean about people asking about the baby moving...I always say, "I don't think so..." And they are dumbfounded. I hope to REALLY feel it soon...

Otherwise, my feet are getting swollen and now my sandal straps are too tight and this sucks! I get home from work and throw off my shoes and throw on my shorts....aaaahhh.

KFW · 25/05/2010 16:00

babyb and hevster congrats to you both!

dilly - mine isnt until 9 june. it seems so far away doesnt it. never fear, i am sure it will come round in no time.

how is everyone else? i have got an absolutely stinking cold. really bad cough with plenty of phlegm and snot. yum. i am looking like a real honey at the moment! i got worried when my glands were up that it was toxoplasmosis and the dr has even done a blood test. is there anything i dont worry about in this PG?! pretty sure now i've slept on it that i was being ridiculous.

happy girlie pink vibes to one and all. except for katy86 who can have lots and lots of happy blue vibes!

JazzieJeff · 25/05/2010 16:01

Congratulations Hevster! Glad everything was fine for you, any ideas on names yet?
Daynee and Dilly, I hear you with the whole baby moving thing. I had to go to the sickbay at work when I was 15 weeks pregnant before I crossed over to full time civvy street care... the stupid cow went 'so, how often are you feeling the baby moving?' I was only just 15 weeks and of course I didn't bloody know up from down, baby wise. I got so upset when she looked taken aback that I didn't know. People just don't think, do they?! From then on, to stop that I just went 'oh yeah loads', just because I don't really like them looking at me like that.
However... felt really soft kicks lying in bed last night and then I realised... that severe wind problem I thought I had? It's the baby nudging about Also, my midwife said you wouldn't notice it most of the time until after 6 months because they're most active when you're asleep.
Got my scan next week so find out the sex then... can't wait! Got to go stright from work so everyone can admire my lovely stretchy maternity uniform complete with cardigan/cloak of shame
Take care girls xxx

Jacksmybaby · 25/05/2010 16:10

Just wondering whether those of you who already have DCs and have found out / are planning to find out the sex of this one, have told / will tell your DCs the sex?

IF we are able to find out on Friday I really want to tell DS because I think it will really help him to understand and visualise and be excited about it all, if we can talk about his little sister/brother. BUT I'm worried that he will take it very badly if when it arrives it's not what we were told it was. Obviously we can understand and be prepared for the small chance they've got it wrong but I'm not sure he can.

Might also post this qu in a separate thread actually... but let me know your thoughts on here too.

MrsSenior · 25/05/2010 16:27

Just thought I'd say a quick hi to everyone as I havent been on here for AGES!! I'm 18+4 today, scan not til 11th June, don't want to find out the sex (I'll have to not look!!).

Feeling some little movements, but on and off and never seem to be concentrating enough to realise what they are if that makes sense?

Other than that everything is going ok, hope everyone is now reaching the blooming stage and the sickness/tiredness we were moaning about weeks ago has all gone! Time really does seem to be flying by!!! Anyone done any shopping yet?

xx

Hevster · 25/05/2010 17:08

Jacks just posted on your other thread, if it helps I asked the sonographer how sure she was and she said she's not allowed to say 100% but baby was lying legs spread wide and she said you can see for yourself it's not a boy! for anyone else that's interested we are telling DD as people ask her what she would like and I don't want her thinking she has a choice and then being upset when what she ordered doesn't arrive. - JazzieJeff you make me laugh in your uniform!

babybunting2010 · 25/05/2010 17:51

Harrah the girls! Sounds like 2010 is the year for girlies. The boys are going to have a good bunch to pick from at school when they start hey!

There was def no way it was a little boy, she had her little legs exactly in the right place! Bless her!

Called the Midwife, just to ask why the extra scan date and she said that it's because the baby is measuring quite big femur length is over a week more developed than I am pregnant. sounds like it's going to be a very tall baby!!!

Glad everyone is ok!
