Hello, jacks I'm wearing a white dress and blue cardie with my hair up in my profile pic, I'll try to find you all. Me and DH saw my belly move for the first time yesterday and the movements are getting very strong, so exciting!. I'm 28 wks too dilly still 10weeks of work to go....... yummy great news about the nursery! we are going to det the cot and dresser in a few weeks can't wait!

KFW · 02/08/2010 10:27

Morning!

Charlie Brown (as DH named her after our 12 week scan because her head looked too big for the rest of her body!) is a strong little thing. In fact, I sometimes feel like she is trying to burrow out of there - especially if I lie on my left hand side (which we are supposed to do aren't we?!). It's really quite uncomfortable/alarming(!), but I still find it cute. She is certainly training DH and me for some sleepless nights anyway.

I am 28 weeks too, and have 10 more weeks at work.

I hope you all had nice weekends. We went MAD in the Mamas & Papas sale yesterday. Her bedroom is going to be nicer than ours!

cheekymonkeyno3 · 02/08/2010 11:30

DillyDora · 02/08/2010 13:04

Hi All,

Not to worry Cheekymonkey we're not counting

All well at 28 week check up, bump is just the right size, heartbeat lovely. Have to see GP about a mole that's gone funny, and dentist about bleeding gums though - blimey, it's all go isn't it?!

RooBear · 02/08/2010 14:00

Just had my MW too, all well, got Antental Class booked for sept, its getting very real!!

welcome back cheeky!

Hevster · 02/08/2010 14:31

just forced the daily sandwich down, am starting to wander if I can remember what it's like to eat and enjoy it. Have apptmnt with senior hospital midwife tomorrow to talk through DD1's birth and where it all went wrong - really hope she is not a big scarry biffa who thinks I am making a fuss about nothing
Very envious of all this nursery furniature purchasing going on, must finish painting DD1's new room so I can work out what we need to get

YummyMummy1208 · 02/08/2010 14:31

I thought antenatal classes were supposed to start around 28weeks - well they did last time around for me anyhow but now they seem to start in the last 6 weeks of pregnancy which to me seems almost pointless seen as we should know it all by then anyway!
even still, i will be going if i get the chance to - just to do something pregnancy related! altho i have a feeling they will be middle of the day on a friday like my colleagues were which means OH wont be able to make it and im not sure if i would want to go alone for fear of looking like i have no support system! silly i know!
i have MW app tomorrow, which i am dreading as i have to have bloods taken and i am such a baby for needles. but i get to see how my tummy is growing for the first time and listen to heartbeat again which will be nice.

YummyMummy1208 · 02/08/2010 14:48

Has anyone tried phytaoil? - iv just bought some online so please tell me it works magic! lol

DillyDora · 02/08/2010 15:29

I'm so sorry about the eating thing Hevster it must be a real misery.

Yeah yummy our antenatal classes are in September too, it seems quite late on.

YummyMummy1208 · 02/08/2010 15:38

i wish i could stop myself from eating everything in sight! - never got much sickness and i doubt ul want to hear this Hevster but wish i had a bit more of it so i wouldnt eat so much! - want to swap?!

cheekymonkeyno3 · 02/08/2010 15:50

thank you for the welcome .

i have my 28 week mw app and GTT tomorrow so lots of blood being taken. yuck. don't really know why i need ggt as i am the same size as i was with both the others (slightly too big but its all in my thighs so i weigh a lot more than i look really) but better safe than sorry i guess.

DillyDora · 02/08/2010 15:56

Cheeky GD is really common so I think they test quite a lot of people. And as you say, better to be safe than sorry, hope it goes ok.

lol at yummy were are so on the same page - I am wanting to eat the whole fridge today, have been off cleaning the bathroom to distract myself!!

RooBear · 02/08/2010 16:08

yummy the classes I've been booked on are monday evenings so partners can go? My MW said they ususally are a month before which is good as I'd thought I'd missed the boat!

Hevster · 02/08/2010 17:24

No one has mentioned classes down here but I think last time we were only offered a breastfeeding class (Wiltshire have no cash) and as I won't be breastfeeding there isn't a lot of point in going.
Yummy would happily swop, even for a day, keep reminding myself that at least I won't have to go to weight watchers this time

RooBear · 03/08/2010 09:33

Morning everyone, I slept terribly last night . Cocked up at work yesterday and its been on my mind all night, and although everyone is being nice and saying we all make mistakes I still feel useless and I'm paranoid they will be talking behind my back (which happens a lot round here). Plus I had cramp in my toes and kept waking up like my whole foot was bruised? Like someone had dropped a brick on it or something. Might need to sleep at my desk!

YummyMummy1208 · 03/08/2010 11:25

Morning RooBear, sorry to hear about ur crap nights sleep. to be fair i think pregnancy takes its toll on our brains as i went thru a real bad few days at work the other week cocking lots of things up. Im sure ur brain will be back to normal in no time!

Had my 28wk checkup thismorning and baby is breech so im really worrying that shes not going to settle head down ready for the birth as DS1 was ready in postition at this point in my pregnancy. Howz everyone elses baby lying at 28 wks??

babybunting2010 · 03/08/2010 11:51

(Waves) at Cheeky... Nice to hear from you!

Yummy, my 28 weeks had the baby with her head down, but they did say she might move around anyway so they keep an eye on it!

Roo- I'm sure you will find that no one minds whatever it is that happened, most people know that pregnancy does weird things to the mind! I couldn't remember the name for a shed the other day and kept saying to DH "you know, the little wooden house in the garden!" He says it's like talking to lassie sometimes!

Hev- Bet you will enjoy your food so much just think only another 10ish weeks and it's all over! Good luck with appointment and if you end up with a Miss Trunchbull look alike, let us know if she's mean to you and we'll all go sort her out for you!

Yummy and Dilly, I've got my Antenatal classes starting Thursday, did have them booked in Sept but MW called and asked me to move them forward in case she is early. Also have the NCT ones starting next week!

Anyone i've forgotten sorry and hi!

xxx

babybunting2010 · 03/08/2010 11:52

PS Had to write that really quickly whilst boss on loo, sorry for any mistakes!

KFW · 03/08/2010 11:57

Oh Roo try not to worry. Everything feels worse when you are tired. I am sure work will be fine, and do yourself a favour and dont worry about people talking about you behind your back. 1) I am sure that they are not; and 2) if they are, they are clearly complete sh1tbags and not worth the worry!

Yummy, I had my 28 week appointment this morn too. My baby is also in breech. The Dr seemed to be totally chilled about it and said that there is oceans of time for her to turn round. I have heard of babies turning late, so all is not lost. To be honest, I am preferring the breach to the transverse option she had adopted for a while - it made me feel ultra wide!!!

What other appointments do you have? I have GP at 30, 32, 34, 36 (hosp), 38 (GP again). It seems like quite a lot! I am going to ask them to monitor it closely.

Hevster · 03/08/2010 18:54

well didn't make it to see the biffa midwife as best mate needed help and she kind of took priority (her DH has cancer) so will have to rearrange apptmnt)
Roo sorry about your crap sleep, tis horrible when it goes wrong at work - KFW is right, if they are talking about you then they are shitbags!
BB you are going to busy with all those classes, hope you meet some good folks at NCT
KFW baby no 2 here so less appointments than you - 31, 34, 36, 38 etc

Hope you have all had a good day

DillyDora · 03/08/2010 19:56

Hey - I don't think I have so many appointments...31 week I think, then I suppose 36 and 38? O no that can't be right. I'll have to check.

Sorry about your mate's DH Hevster that's heart breaking.

Had the funniest dream last night that I was being kicked in the stomach by a mouse - I woke up with such a start! I am guessing it was the baby, not an actual mouse

Hevster · 03/08/2010 20:04

Dilly thats a funny dream, all i seem to dream about is having a pee and then I have to dash to the bog!

Jacksmybaby · 03/08/2010 20:27

Hey everyone, busy day on the thread today!

at Dilly's dream!

Re baby positions, mine is breech but tbh I am hoping she stays that way as it adds more justification (in my own mind I mean) to the ELCS decision.

Did someone mention bra expanders on here a few weeks ago and if so where can I get one? Bras starting to feel really uncomfortable now!

Hope u are all having nice restful evenings!

DillyDora · 04/08/2010 09:21

Hi Jacks I got a bra expander as a freebie but I bet you can get them from mothercare and probably even M&S.

cheekymonkeyno3 · 04/08/2010 10:08

hi how is everyone today.

i know you can get bra extenders in the betterware catalogue if you get one. and they come in a pack of 3 colours. just found out asda do nursing bras 2 4 £8 tho so i may just stock up on them.

i had a dream when pregnant with DD that i was having a fox - felt so so real i was shaking when i woke up and trying to convince DH it would be fine and quite fun.

had gtt yesterday it was ok but so so glad i got to eat this morning and really enjoyed my breakfast

xx
