Thanks Nemo. This will make it alot easier to keep in touch with each other. How many weeks are you now? Hope all is well with you. Off now for a KitKat editions mango and passionfruit. If only I could have had a longing for some thing healthy!

Nemo1977 · 02/07/2005 17:01

eww that kitkat doesnt sound nice...lol

I am 16wks now and it has flown past but probably helps thayt i have a toddler to keep me busy. Have started to feel baby moving etc which is soooooooooo lovely.
Thought thread was good idea to keep tabs on each other without using ttc cos sometimes feel like am rubbing it in faces which i dont want to be iykwim.
Hope you are taking it easy and got your feet up lots..lol

OP posts:
wendy11 · 02/07/2005 20:04

DQ - scan is this Friday at 8am so really early start for us to get to the hospital and beat the traffic into the city. Terrified but at the same time can't wait. Just praying that everything will be OK. I am almost envious of you and Nemo at 15/16 weeks but I know it will fly past as it seems no time since you both got you BFP's. I am 6+2 today ......... roll on the next 6 weeks. There is something comforting about getting to the 12 week mark

Frizbe · 02/07/2005 20:08

Oh hi all can I join you as well!

Cadmum · 03/07/2005 01:32

Thank you so much Nemo! I feel brave enough to venture here but I am only lurking on the due in March thread. I am glad that you are now 16 weeks! Were you sick at all?

I wanted to say that I for one NEVER felt that you were flaunting your pregnancies in our faces for all who were kind enough to drop in on the TTC threads. Success stories are an inspiration!

Hello DQ: I missed you! Thanks for your congratulations and for keeping in touch...

Hello Wendy! Can't wait to hear about your scan. Keep those feet up and ignore the house-work. (Good practice for motherhood anyhow.) Are you on the ante-natal threads yet?

Frizbe: Can you join us? What kind of a silly question is that you are one of us!!!

I will really need lots of moral support for the next 36 weeks or so... I am so excited one moment and then scared silly the next. I really, really want this baby so badly. I will be praying that it is a keeper and not headed straight heaven-bound to join its 4 other sibblings...

munz · 03/07/2005 09:00

morning ladies, well have to pull rom on here as well.

nemo/DQ of u feeling movement!

friz - course u can join!! - daftey! lol.

cadmum - I hear u honny, these beanies will stick i'm sure of it this time! positive thoughts apparently so it says on that mother and baby thing friz linked for me.

nemo - yes didn't think u were flaunting the fact u were PG, more like rather hoping some of ur good fortune would rub off on the rest of us.

where's rom today, didn't see her yesterday either, hope all's ok with her.

feeling v v sick today - I had a v v littel amount of wine (lambrini so bacisally flavoured lemonade) in all was about 3/4mouthfuls of wine with the rest of the glass as lemonade, but I feel like i've been on a major session! did any of you girls have that? after one glass I had to go onto the tea cos I felt woozy! (such a light weight!) cheap date thou! he he.

hope everyone's OK.

Nemo1977 · 03/07/2005 10:11

cadmum i am willing urs n munz n frizbe beans to stick for u hun...i dont know why but sometimes i think with the ttc thread if u went with a few others then its a good sign...silly i know but hey look at me/DQ/george n bonkerz..all keepers..lol

I did have sickness felt worse this time than i was with DS. ALthough only threw up couple of times....think DQ had horrible sickness this time round.

Take care all

OP posts:
dramaqueen72 · 03/07/2005 10:15

yep, i had the mother of all morning sickness -ugh. even meds didnt help much. thankfully it started to receed at 13wks and has been less and less ever since. it was really debilitating/depressing, and i dont wish it on any of you. fo course i know tis worth it, but certainly doesnt feel so at the time!

munz · 03/07/2005 10:43

ah gawwwd u mean I have anohter 9 weeks of feeling like this if not worse?

althou call me weird but it's rather reassuring to feel sick.

Cadmum · 03/07/2005 11:57

I am already feeling rather sick so I am hoping not to follow in DQ's footsteps... Was on meds with DD from the time I was 18 weeks because the weight just kept falling off me. (Being sick all day, everyday has that effect on a person though!) She was worth every second of the misery but I remember NOT thinking that at the time...
We are having 'old' friends around for a BBQ this afternoon. They are visiting from the city where DS1 and DD were born and have children the same age as mine. I am so grateful that they still keep in touch with us because they would be very understanding if I spent the evening feeling awful. (They may even guess why I am looking a pale shade of green....)

Stupid question but is it OK that the + line on my BFp is lighter than the control line? How long does it take for the hGC to reach a high enough level to make that line darker? I tested on CD14/15 but mid-day...

I don't even know who I talk to about ante-natal care in this province and I am not really thrilled with our GP. I suppose that I will poll my friends here to ask their opinions... Too many things to consider for my addled little brain really!

Have a lovely day and remember to get plenty of rest and eat healthfully.

Nemo1977 · 03/07/2005 12:01

hi munz
not odd to feel sick and be happy as i was the same.

Cadmum probably take a week or so to have darker line or it may not happen..it didnt to me it was never darker than control so dont stress and enjoy ur bbq

OP posts:
Cadmum · 03/07/2005 12:21

Thanks Nemo! This is only the second time the line has been lighter for me and I was trying not to be paranoid but the first fainter-line was my first miscarriage. Was really hoping that it didn't mean much.

dramaqueen72 · 03/07/2005 12:45

cadmum, often early on if you test midday its fainter than first thing. mine got progressively darker and darker -remember i started testing at 9DPO, and tested for about a week (hardened POAS addict!!) it means nothing that it was lighter so try not to worry about that. I know how fretful the early weeks are -heck even at 15wks i am still fretting about it 'not being real'.
Rom hope youre putting feet up. floating around on the BFP cloud still over the moon for you both.
now all vibes willing Bella on too, hope she comes and joins in here while shes waiting.

george32 · 03/07/2005 12:56

It always gets exciting when I disappear for a day!
Hi all, thanks for starting this thread Nemo. It's lovely to have us back on one thread again. As you say DQ, we just need to will Bella across here. It's not the same until she makes it.

I'm 14+3 and feeling much happier & healthier and a little less stressed out by everything. V jealous of you feeling your bean Nemo. Can't wait to feel mine wriggling

Munz, LOL at you feeling rough after a drop of wine. To make you feel better, I sometimes feel like I have the hangover from hell when I've not drunk for months & months - cruel huh??

Cadmum, my line started off really faint & got darker as time went on so yours sounds perfectly normal. You certainly know how to build the suspense up!! So pleased when I logged on earlier.

munz · 03/07/2005 13:29

cad mum - like DQ I've tested every day so far since tuesday apart from today and the line has got darker as the week went on which was reassuring.

DQ - glad it's not just me then additcted to POAS - i've done 9 now in total just ot make sure - in the intrests of science of course! lol.

george - I hate hangovers at the best of times but as I normally deserve them u can imagion how happily miffed I was this morning that I had a hangover and for 3/4 of the night I was drinking cups of tea! lol.

It will be great if bella get's her BFP as well this cycle..... do u think we should pool our dust for her?

Frizbe · 03/07/2005 19:53

Lambrini, yuk, Munz don't know how you can drink the stuff!
Cadmum, point taken, so I am! just thought I'd check as I don't really know Nemo and Dramaqueen!
Hope all are ok, not much to report here, so shan't twitter, catch u later ladies.

hereshoping · 03/07/2005 20:08

Hello all
still cant pluck up courage for dec thread though slowly starting to pick up in confidence so good to see this thread
cadmum im so chuffed for you, I really hope this one sticks - its been a rollercoaster but youre there at last...
congrats to munz and rom too
havent bled for 2weeks now and feeling much better - not sick and energetic but its that horrible limbo where you dont feel massively pg but havent felt movements as yet
ds2 currentlt nursing a broken arm so im off to fracture clinic tomorrow - ds 1 only discharged in Feb after his broken arm!
catch up soon

romilly · 03/07/2005 21:39

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy at last, well done nemo!

(and also for the record - we used to love you guys dropping back on the ttc thread to spur us all along, so can i just say a huge thankyou to all of you for that)

CADMUM! i am THRILLED that you are joining munzie and i on the march thread. just thrilled congrats to caddaddy too!

dramaqueen and george - this will be so much easier than lurking around on different threads eh? agree that it wont be the same until bella gets her BFP too. i hope she comes over now anyway.

well i am totally knackered after a lot of over-excitement this weekend, so will catch up properly tomorrow. just wanted to say how much am looking forward to this beanie thread.

romilly · 03/07/2005 21:45

forgot to say, (blonde and pregnant, this could be lethal ) to munziebabes, sorry i havent joined up with you on march thread yet, just getting used to the idea IYKWIM but see you there soon x

hereshoping - it is great to see you again.

Cadmum · 04/07/2005 01:18

hereshoping: I am so glad that you are here with us! It is great to have you back. I hope that your DSs arm heals quickly. Our DS1 broke his arm 2 years ago and I am sure to be back there again at some point with DS2... Boys will be boys, I suppose.

Romilly: Thanks for your big congrats! (Don't remember the last time I saw so many emoticons in the same location. )

munz · 04/07/2005 07:39

rom - oi watch it woman!!! i'm blonde as well! (hence all the blonde jokes on the TTC threads! lol) don't worry hon i'll see u over there when u get there!

friz - well it's wet it's cheap and easy to drink - a little too esy if the truth be known! lol.

def a lot easier on the one thread isn't it cos we can keep track better.
