Cadmum · 06/07/2005 20:17

Yummmm! Choccie! Gotta get some now... I know that I should just chill out but it is hard because I am not particularly fond of the gp and he knows nothing about my history... Oh well. One hour to go and then I will likely be sat there for hours gathering my thougths before I even get the chance to see him. Will let you all know how it goes. (Has to be better than I'm expecting already, doesn't it!?)

bonkerz · 06/07/2005 21:16

Hi all, sorry have been told to get over here by NEMO. Im on the Due in Dec thread and am now 15 weeks pregnant. Had a tough time last week when i had a heavy bleed but all is good with baby.

Cadmum · 07/07/2005 03:01

Oh Bonkerz! You must have been terrrified...Did you ever find out why you bled? I am so glad that you found us.

munz · 07/07/2005 09:33

bonkerz - glad to hear everything is now OK, althou it must have been v worrying for u. hope you're resting up and not doing too much.

cadmum - how did u get on?

wendy11 · 07/07/2005 12:39

Hi everyone

Just been listening to the news and hoping that any of you who live or work in and around the city are OK. What an awful thing to happen after all the celebrations in London yesterday and now such devastation.

Cadmum - how did you appointment go yesterday. Hope you got on OK with the GP and explained you history to him.

A question for anyone who has had an early scan - do I need a full bladder before I have my scan? Have read somewhere that I do but it doesn't say anything in my letter from the hospital. Your help would be appreciated

Hope everyone is well and not feeling too icky today.

Nemo1977 · 07/07/2005 12:44

hi wendy b4 my 8wk scan had to have full bladder cos they tried externally first which they managed this time..i would always go with full as itws vry easy to empty if u need internal..lol

OP posts:
bonkerz · 07/07/2005 12:54

Wendy: Defo go with a bladder full to bursting point! Had 3 scans before 12 weeks and the fuller the bladder the better the picture.

Cad: The bleed was due to a heamatoma (bruise) and think it wass caused by the baby as when i had my 12 week scan baby was on its head stuck in a small pocket and after bleed it had turned horizontal across my belly and bruise was where head had been! Have been on anti biotics for 7 days and am feeling better. Unfortunately rest isnt really an option due to working with 3 mindees under 3 BUT am doing my best and friends have been brill. Have a touch of thrush now due to anti biotics but im sure all will settle down!

wendy11 · 07/07/2005 12:59

Thanks Nemo and Bonkerz. Will have to guzzle water on the way down the motorway in the morning and keep my legs firmly crossed

Glad everything has settled down for you Bonkerz. You must have been out of your mind with worry. Try and rest as much as possible and look after yourself

yingers74 · 07/07/2005 13:05

hey, things are a bit hectic here in London, have been on the mob checking that everyone I know who works in central london is ok. Thankfully everyone is fine. My brother who works near liverpool street is now walking home. Feel very nervous about it all. I am so glad that all dd's activities are local.

Hope all you ladies are good.

Nemo1977 · 07/07/2005 13:07

yingers glad u r ok and ur bro its horrible whats been happening so cant imagine being in london

OP posts:
Frizbe · 07/07/2005 14:29

Yingers I ehco Nemo's statement, hope eveyone else is ok, as are all relatives and friends...Bonkers, glad all ok with your bump too.

yellowbear · 07/07/2005 14:50

Hi,

Cadmum, all the blood work has come about after an appt with the miscarriage clinic. They found I have an over active thyroid, and I am anaemic & I also have an 'unknown haemoglobin variant' which they are currently looking into! It must be my age! I can't complain though they have kept me sane throughtout this pregnancy.

Just need to share this too as can't get hold of DP - jusy got triple test results back & they are 1 in 570 (which is good for my age)- so hopefully something else less to worry about.

Going to catch up now on whats happening in London.

munz · 07/07/2005 18:41

yb - that's good news for you then. fingers crossed they'll be able to rectifity the other problems with your blood work.

bonkerz - u take things easy girl!

cadmum - u ok honney? how did things go?

wend - good luck for tomorrow let us know how u get on.

yingers - hope everyone's ok with you and ur family, thankfully everyone of my family are safe and well althou it was a real scare for a while there.

hope everyone's doing OK.

off tot eh dr's at 9.30 tomorrow so will report back as soson as I get back, by my calcualtions i'm 5 weeks today - and this past week has gone so slow it's unbelievable waiting for the DR's apt.

hereshoping · 07/07/2005 18:44

Hi all
This new thread is great - has got me posting again -just cant do the antenatal thread thing
Isnt the london thing awful - from such a high to such a low in 24 hours
im good, 15 weeks tomorrow and suddenly looking quite pg. still in my normal clothes but they are looking less and less flattering
Im still felling sick though - just mildly but i thought it would have passed off - anyone else like this? quite reassuring though in this gap until movements
got my 20 wk scan 2 Aug - will only be 18 - 19 wks but on hol 2 weeks after
no bleeding for over 2 weeks now - hooray - and even started gym again gently
told other 3 about baby but they seem to have forgotten again
glad to see all doing well, good luck to those eith scans/appts coming up

Cadmum · 07/07/2005 21:02

Nice to hear from you again hereshoping! I am so pleased that you have had no bleeding for two weeks. What a huge relief.

I am still reeling from the London events. I lived between Russel Square and King's Cross until October. Many of our friends still live there. We used to take the #30 bus to my ds1 and dd's Montessori school every morning... Really, really awful. My heart really goes out to all people involved.

My Dr. Appt was such a non-event that I can't even talk about it yet. Nothing I said was even heard. Am about to cry thinking about it. No chance of an early scan. Considered High Risk because of age, twin pregnancy in the past and pre-eclampsia in first pregnancy not to mention that I have been pregnant 7 times in the last 8 1/2 years. Blah Blah. GP does not even want to refer me to Ob (No chance of midwife as TOO high a risk?!?!?) until I am 16-18 weeks or so. Figure I will likely have miscarried by then unless something is investigated... Sorry, Rant over.

Hope you are all well.

I will post again when I can be more rational.

munz · 07/07/2005 21:24

oh cad mum ((((hugs))))) how about another GP? this one's obviously not intrested in what's best for you.
