sorry your gp was so useless cadmum.he sounds like a right prat! I saw a stand in Dr today with dd2 (whos 2) he was totally hopeless with her, and ignored her asking him things (i really hate people blanking her) and told me I was over worrying. medical school was obviously a brilliant waste of his time CHANGE your gp, its everybodys right to do so, and get a second opinion/hire midwife/doula -ANYTHING to help you tho the worrying weeks. and hang in there.

munz · 08/07/2005 07:47

dq - don't worry, has everyone checked in from this post? are we all accounted for? best to be safe.

cadmum - agree with DQ on chagin GP's.

right off now for a showver/shave me legs so they're presentable for the DR's! lol. then up to work to pick DH up (he doens't finish till 9.00am but i'm expecting them to check my car and search it etc so I want to be up there early.

george32 · 08/07/2005 09:14

Ooops, getting behind already!!
Hi Yingers & Dyzz, lovely to see you both here & glad you are getting on OK.
Peaceful day at home for me after yesterdays drama. I don't even like London, god knows why I work there!! Hope we hear from Bella soon.
Wendy, thinking of you today. I hope everything goes OK.
Cadmum, change your GP now. He sounds terrible & there is no reason why you should have to put up with it. Grrr, so for you.
Heres, what are you doing at the gym. You have made me wonder if I should go, but I dont know what I can or can't do.

munz · 08/07/2005 10:36

all ok dr's confirmed am 5 weeks PG he's telling the m/w have to wait for her to ring me next week and sort out all the scans.

wendy11 · 08/07/2005 10:53

Hello everyone

Things are not looking so good for me. Had the scan this morning and while there is a heartbeat the sac is measuring much smaller that they would expect. Feel completley numb and can't believe that this is happening again for us. Feels like every scan we have had has brought us bad news. I can't even cry. We have to go back next Friday morning to see if there have been any changes in the size of the sac. I dread going to the loo incase I find blood. Don't know how I am going to make it to next Friday. I may not post for a day or two until I can get my head round this but please keep us in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.

Bella23 · 08/07/2005 10:56

Just popped in to let you all know that I am safe and well in London.

Wendy - there is a heartbeat and that's got to up the stats of it all going well. Will be keeping everything crossed and willing that all is fine at the next scan. Keep strong and positive {{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}xxxxx

munz · 08/07/2005 10:58

wendy ((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))) you're in my thoughts hope all goes well for you. is it possible that the beanies just a small beanie? hope that's the case.

george32 · 08/07/2005 11:08

Oh Wendy. I do hope that it is just they measured at a funny angle or something. As Bella says the heartbeat is at least something positive.

My thoughts will be with you this week.
xxx

george32 · 08/07/2005 11:11

Bella, glad to see you are safe & well. Hope you are keeping clear of London today.

Bella23 · 08/07/2005 11:38

Thanks George, unfortunately I am in Oxford Street today but am planning to go home at lunchtime to work from home as to be honest don't feel that happy to be here today!

Frizbe · 08/07/2005 12:32

Glad your safe and well Bella

Cadmum, agree with others change your GP or see if you can get a 2nd opinion, grr at GP for being so rubbish.

Wendy, {{{Hugs}}} Hon, but don't dispair, there is a heartbeat, I'm sure all will be fine, it may well just be that you have a small baby, these things do happen you know {{{{Hugs}}}} sending you lots of good wishes.

Nemo1977 · 08/07/2005 12:39

bella glad u r safe hun..phew

wendy hugs to u hun..when i was having ds they did internal scan and i should have been 9wks but ds measured 7 but had heartbeat etc...then at my 12 wk scan he had grown again so i was actually 14wks..so hopefully if ur bean is just curled up etc then the measurements r off...thinking of u and take it easy

bella, glad all is well, and yore safe.
wendy I'm so sorry the scan wasnt brilliant. hang in there, I know limbo is awful but things could just be okay. we are all sending you massive positive vibes. the main fact is a heartbeat is so good to see......when one of my sac was too small there was no heartbeat either, you have a heartbeat. thinking of you LOTS.

Wasn't going to post today but I need to send you a hug {{{{{Wendy}}}}}}} . I am really praying that things will all turn around next Friday.

Bella: I am glad you are safe. What a nightmare.

hereshoping · 08/07/2005 17:25

Keeping everything crossed fro you Wendy - these early scans are a nightmare - if they are ok you are reassured for an hour and then start worrying again, if theyre 'inconclusive' thats even worse. Ive had 6 so far and each time they were obsessivly measuring the size of the bleed and giving me really negative vibes. Being medical i went to the hospital library and researched it myself and honestly the failur rate of pregnancies where they have seen a haertbeat is really really low.
my bean kept being measured and some days it was smaller than theyd expect then Id have another scan and it would be exactly right for dates. So what im trying to say is keep positive
Glad to see all London people OK. Cadmum definitely change GPs -i had a massive struggle to get into EPU but was it worth it
On a completely different note, since waiting from easter we have accepted an offer on the house today! We are planning an escape to the country type scenario, ponies for the kids, chickens, small country school...
sounds bliss but being trapped in deepest darkest Wales in December with a new baby may not be so fab!

Frizbe · 08/07/2005 18:06

Oh no hereshopping it may well be fab! ponies and small local schools sounds just down my street Sure there will be plenty of local activities to get involved in, hope the move goes well!

munz · 08/07/2005 18:13

wend- how r u feeling hon?

HH - there's nothing wrong with deepest darkest wales! lol, that's where I am, althou don't rate the north wales much! lol. (only kidding) where in wales u thinkin of moving to?

dramaqueen72 · 08/07/2005 20:05

hereshoping-please can i come with you? sounds ideal, congratulations! we have 'half' the dream right now, (big house, huge garden -tho not very ...er gardened!-.. kids in nice school) and are awaiting to sell plot we currently live on to complete the rest!!! 2yrs max left here....and I am counting...I am literally round the corner (two houses apart) from inlaws.....with bil two houses further along. am swamped by dreaded inlaws! MUST MOVE!!!

hereshoping · 09/07/2005 10:10

munz - it is actually north wales!!!!!!!! but the bit close to the border between mold and ruithin - locally known as little liverpool
dh will still be working in liverpool
my mum is welsh so hope that stands me in good stead and been to check out the school which is classed as 'anglicised'
dh is worried and threatening to make me dliver in a hospital in england
dq - dont understand your post - are inlaws being near good or bad?

munz · 09/07/2005 10:11

lol@hh - u know that's exactly what my DH is saying, hes gonna send me to my mums at 8 months PG so I have an 'english' baby all be it a southern one but english all the same! lol. bloody men!

Nemo1977 · 09/07/2005 10:30

oo heres didnt know ur dh worked in liverpool...not that it matters bot for some reason i just thought 90% of people on here lived miles from me..lol

OP posts:
dramaqueen72 · 09/07/2005 12:53

I have learnt to grin and bear my inlaws hh, but they are large in number and sometimes very suffocating. not a great fan of inlaws really.

munz · 10/07/2005 14:58

don't think I could do that. lived with them for a year, tbh i'm glad we live in the middle (DH from bradford me portsmouth) so we're in wales! 250 miles from both sets, saves all arguements then and we're left to our own devises!

munz · 11/07/2005 07:49

girls looks like bonkerz might be in a spot of bother if u don't mind having a look,

bonkerz thread
