morning all. hereshoping- glad to see you about.

have drs appointment at the hospital today complicated story but my midwife has decided I am suddenly 'poss' high risk pg, (and I'm not!!) so think entire morning sat in hospital will be a waste of time, but I'm still getting nervous. wish me luck!

yellowbear · 04/07/2005 08:32

Hi DQ,

Godd luck for the hospital today.

I know what you mean, I was sat there for 3 1/2 hours last week as they kept deciding I have something else wrong with my blood and needed more tests - 3 different times they sent me to the blood room! They know how to worry you. Hopefully you won't be sat there that long & it will put your mind at rest.

Hi to everyone else, and a belated congratulations to anyone I have missed. (I keep up with the threads but find I have never any time to post!)

By the way DQ , is it you that is due on Xmas day? They have just changed my due date to that. I think it's quite good but I am getting a mixed reaction of people. After 2 m/c's I'm not bothered what day it comes!

munz · 04/07/2005 08:48

good luck DQ hope everything goes well for you. (((((hugs)))))) fingers crossed all around.

Nemo1977 · 04/07/2005 09:26

DQ good luck hun

yellow bear wouldnt worry about the xmas day date reactions hun who cares besides only 5% of babies come on their due date.

Hello to everyone else it is sooooooooo lovely to be together again..bring on bella woo hoo

Morning everyone.
Yellowbear & Hereshoping I'm so pleased to see you both here

So whos feeling rough today then?

wendy11 · 04/07/2005 11:42

DQ - hope everything goes well for you at you appointment.

Hereshoping - good to see you again. You have had a really rought time of it but hopefully you have turned the corner and can now enjoy your pg

Yellowbear - good to hear from you. How many weeks are you now?

Rom - I haven't made it over to the antenatal threads. This is a big enough jump at the moment!! This tortoise will just keep slowly plodding along

Really hope Bella gets her BFP this month. We have all been through so much together it would be nice to still be together, so hopefully she will come and join us while she is waiting

At least Bella will still have the fun of BDing. We have been advised to abstain so after me constantly jumping on DH I am now going in the opposite direction. Poor man!!

My biggest problem is tirdness. I slept off and on most of the day yesterday and then managed to sleep soundly all night and I still wakened this morning feeling tired! No real sickness yet, just the odd wave of nauseau but not long to wait now before I know how things are going.

Frizbe · 04/07/2005 11:52

Hope the appointment goes ok DQ?
I am feeling rough George, but so far, haven't puked.....

dramaqueen72 · 04/07/2005 15:47

thanks for your well wishes guys, all is well
wendy tiredness is SUCH a good sign, means your body is busy building those babies. dont fight it
does anyone know what happened to GirlfromIp? she was such a great support during my m/c and then checked in on me thro TTC and now I cant find her, or CAT her

dramaqueen72 · 04/07/2005 15:50

oh yellow bear, hi hun! yes I am also due christmas day!! its going to be great giving birth around then, ignore everyone who comments. lately, as people tend to say 'oh that wasnt very well timed' i say 'YES actually it was, i get out of the cooking' lightens the situation abit and stops me thumping anyone!! its unlikely to actually BE christmas day, but even if it is, its going to be so special.

munz · 04/07/2005 15:53

lol @ DQ - and xmas cooking! - also the washing up! lol. glad to hear all is OK with u,

dramaqueen72 · 04/07/2005 16:13

on friday, spoken to the gyno thou as I had the MRI about 3 weeks ago and she tells me not to worry as they're safe during PG.

there must have been loads of grads over the past few months - think we'll have to check and hunt them out!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 04/07/2005 16:50

just cant believe that is's 6 months since my BFP - where does the time go?!

munz · 04/07/2005 19:39

I know it's gone dead quick hasn't it.

Rom - where r u girlie? how did the dr's go this avo - or do I need to email u?

dramaqueen72 · 04/07/2005 20:52

evening ladies. thought I'd make you smile- my dd2 is two, just, and she keeps coming out with some great lines.today we were parked next to tescos delivery vans, she looked out at the large tesco logo and said 'tescos- every little helps' !!!!PMSL! no idea where she knows that from, but incrediably funny and cute.

babyonboard · 04/07/2005 21:00

another one to make you smile..my little sister has bee n very wooriied about becomingan aunty and has been watching desperate midwives with my mum as a means of education. Two classics she has come out with are ''why are those ladies screaming'' ...''because it hurts to have a baby''..''oooh...don't tell my sister''
lmao..and also
''why do they have such big bellies''..because the baby is in there and you also put on weight to help feed it''...''oooh..don't tell my sister her clothes won't fit anymore!''
I cried to be honest...how adorable1 she is also worried about her role as an aunt, her being 9 I obviously won't put much pressure on her..he he, but i guess for her aunts are the people she stays with and gets looked after.
It's all such crazy times..

Cadmum · 04/07/2005 21:12

DQ: WAY too cute! I love the little things they say!! How did your appt at the hospital go? Are you officially considered high risk or did they fob you back off on the midwifes?

All is well on this side of the Atlantic but DH goes back to the Big Apple tonight so I am feeling blue about that. I will spend tomorrow trying to sort out who I need to speak to re. ante-natal care. I sure was upset when they considered my last pregnancy high risk but I would allow the surgeon-general to deliver this little peanut as long as I have a baby (or two) in 8 1/2 months...

babyonboard · 04/07/2005 21:22

Oooh...an american on this board..I've been hoping to scout one! my b/f may get a job transfer to new york next spring, and we will have a tiny tot of around 5 months old at the time...any tips on healthcare etc?
