OooErr! Floria! sounds like a fun bit of landscape gardening

Why thank you JJ I look a bit mad in that picture I think, I'm just hoping that it won't rain on Sunday. Did you get any indication how long the referral will take?

MrsB do you get a picture of a body with X marks the spot on your nurseries accident form? Bs (soon to be Os) nursery had a form like that you had to fill in if an accident had happened at home (just to make you feel even more guilty)

johnworf · 21/07/2009 21:55

Merp. Very funny floria. Let's hope much grass gets flattened!

Cor blimey, online shopping is so bleeding boring. We'll be shopping online only from now on. My BiL thinks we're barking mad but who gives a crap what he thinks?

Not seen any telly at all tonight/today so can't say whether the men on Beeb 2 are indeed lusty. I'd rather have a chocolate muffin these days...and that isn't a euphemism for some latent lesbian tendencies either mrsb

Right, I think we all need a holiday. Somewhere SF free. It's all gone a bit pete tong for everyone and we're in need of some serious cheering up. It's not even winter yet! Ok, let's play a game of who's had sex within the past 6 months? Ah crap, that's me out

mrsboogie · 21/07/2009 22:03

ooohh now when did we last...

/tries to cast mind back...

no x marks the spot forms hedgepig here, just a description of said event and who was present etc. Don't know about what happens with injuries as we have managed to avoid visibly injuring him yet unlike the nursery!

oooh that sounds wrong!

I mean the only marks and scars have thus far been sustained at nursery rather than home.

Well last night's early bed is not being repeated tonight - he went up and 7 and came down at 9.30 and is now playing, bright as a button.

jw I love internet shopping

enjoy your dreams of yummy chocolate muffs muffins

mrsboogie · 21/07/2009 22:06

must go and find presentable workwear and hair straighteners- meeting with a visiting Minister tomorrow - need something a bit better than today's scruffy hippyish look.

hedgepig · 21/07/2009 22:12

well lets put it this way...... I really don't think there was much point getting my mirena coil fitted, but O will sleep soon (Please!) and then we will be more awake.

JW I love internet shopping but I hate waiting in for the parcels when they need a signature.

hedgepig · 21/07/2009 22:17

good planning ahead MrsB, if it was me I would be ironing 1st thing in the morning

Night Night

BonzoDoodah · 21/07/2009 22:40

Night night all - thanks for the good wishes. Have to be at hospital for 8am. Will post here as soon as I can to let you all know. (Last time I had internet on the bedside telly thing so got online wile I was recovering and baby slept .... fingers crossed).

Tee2072 · 22/07/2009 08:06

Good morning all!

Ahhh, A slept from 1030 to 0230!! And then from 0300 to 0530. And is currently asleep again! Of course, my insomnia kicked in and I was up from 0230 to about 0400...

bonzo sending you lots of good thoughts! BABY!!

::raises hand:: Yes, I've had sex in the last 6 months. You can all hate me now, if you wish.

Is it just me or are the 'new guidelines' for spotting abuse obvious?!?! Shouldn't they have already been the guidelines?!?!

johnworf · 22/07/2009 08:21

Morning all,

tee I don't hate you for having sex in the past 6 months. Good on you I say. I'm far too tired though and if I get a minute to myself, sex isn't the first thing that springs to mind. I'm sure that a woman's libido dips after a baby as a makeshift form of contraception. Well done on A sleeping but nil point for your insomnia!

bonzo I know you'll know be at the hospital and probably having various parts of your anatomy measured/shaved/swabbed with dettol but I'm sending you and your dumpling mahoosive good vibes and hope you come on here very soon and tell us all about it

JJ has a new day shone any new light on what's going on with Verity or given you any new inspiration?

mrsb don't forget to wash behind your ears for the visiting minister. I'm sure he'll want to check

ermintrude just heard on the radio that Nottingham city centre is getting it's very own beach today. Well, that's just what you want in the middle of the pouring rain and a SF epidemic! Which bright spark thought of that one?

K will hardly eat a thing these days. It's swept off the table onto the floor, into the waiting mouth of the dog. I'm even tempting her with biscuits in the vain hope she'll eat something. Nah. Think it must be teeth. The only thing she'll open her mouth for these days is calpol or filthy bits of fluff/crumbs she finds on the floor.

heron feeling a bit better today dear?

jeanjeannie · 22/07/2009 08:27

bonzo WHAH! It's today - I was lying in bed last night thinking "oh I didn't post to say - ENJOY!" Let us know ASAP and don't forget to drink loads - water not alcohol xx

jw sex.....MMmmm, funny you should mention that as unusually we've not done it for ages - we're way too tired. It's about three weeks by my reckoning Oh and I had the weirdest dream about you and k last night. I'll spare you the boring stuff but you came to visit me and for some weird reason I was living in my aunty's huge house in South London and I made you a very odd dinner. And K was really tall....But the best bit was that you'd won the lottery and we were off to look at penthouses over-looking the Thames that you were thinking of buying!

I think it was a dream

mrsB enjoy your visiting minister - hope your straight glossy locks look lovely.

Oh, what to do today eh?

johnworf · 22/07/2009 08:49

JJ it wasn't a dream. I was there. And K had her platforms on. Wow!

Just joshing. Think you'd had too much cheese.

Actually, if we're talking about sex (baybee) I relented on Saturday. I don't think about it too much though as DH would get the wrong idea. It was about 2 months before that time though. And I can't even remember the time before that. Think it was when K was conceived

OP posts:
ermintrude13 · 22/07/2009 08:54

Ooh, good luck vibes to Bonzo and her baby. Do we know if it's pink or blue?

JJ 3 weeks between bouts of marital intercourse! That's practically newly-wed behaviour! .

Didn't get to post much yesterday but read about Verity's hip issues and was sorry to hear you'd had such a drama. Hope they find out the problem very soon. And that it's not much of a problem.

Floria lol at the turf-laying. I bet you'll have a lovely fortnight. No reason why you can't mix a few Mojitos of an evening

JW yes indeedy, land-locked Nottingham is to have a beach in the market square. I expect we'll go for a paddle at some point.

Tee good for Adam, but boo to your insomnia.

Off for a quick shower while baby sleeps.

jeanjeannie · 22/07/2009 09:05

Oh erm I've just had an email from my friend in Dubai - it reads along the lines that her mother is "incandescent with rage" at tax payers money being spent on a Market Square beach. Apparently it's not what Nottingham needs...what Nottingham needs is the council to have a "good kick up the backside" Fuming of Chilwell!!

I think you should have a good kick in the sand - find some hidden pigeon poo.

Thanks for all your concerns about Verity's hips. Against my better judgement I did Google and guess what? Blinkin MN came up as the first three choices She does fit the hypermobility thing....not the syndrome where there is pain....but the double jointed descriptions. I mean she seems happy and there are no clicks - so I'm just thinking maybe we'll have another (shorter) Darcy Bussell on our hands

People coming over later - Oh yes lads I've decided I'm hosting a playdate Do feel free to pop by yourselves...bring LOs...I'm having CAKE!

heron22 · 22/07/2009 09:11

morning all!
tee well done A for sleeping so well!
jw i am feeling better and am determined to be more chilled out today. fingers crossed!

weather is nice today. so at least wont be stuck indoors!

bonzo good luck for today!

sex??? whats that??? no seriously, had one of those last week

jj yum, cake!!!

Tee2072 · 22/07/2009 09:11

JJ be right there.

erm shower...shower...the word seems familiar...

Okay, off to get the tub set up. Little Man is STINKY!!! Back later!

johnworf · 22/07/2009 09:15

JJ which lads were you inviting over? If there's any nice ones I may be tempted

OP posts:
jeanjeannie · 22/07/2009 09:23

If only jw ....ah, lads round here....you'd have to watch them slurp tea through their hoodies. Some of them have even got snorkle parkas to ensure their identity is not revealed

dawntigga · 22/07/2009 09:42

Waves.

DP is off right now and nagging like an old woman.

Why do they insist in cramming a days worth of work into 2 hours?

GoingToBeCrossMostOfTodayTiggaxx

mrsboogie · 22/07/2009 10:13

mornin

must be quick - no news on bonzo yet? hmm probably a bit soon...

D drank four bottles last evenign between 5pm and 10.30!! tanking up to sleep all night again! Feel almost human! He also had a bottle at 7.30am and 9am he needs his calories that boy.

must away and look busy. back later.

heron22 · 22/07/2009 10:17

mrsb thats amazing how much your LO drank! is that 4 full bottles? he needs it obviously! is he 10 months old? cant
remember!

johnworf · 22/07/2009 10:42

Blimey mrsb K doesn't drink that much in a day let alone in an evening. Mind you, can't complain as she is a good sleeper.

JJ think I'll decline the kind invite of the classy males in your vicinity. Unless Jezza Vine is popping round with Andrew Marr and Jeremy Paxman. That's almost an orgy in my books

OP posts:
mrsboogie · 22/07/2009 10:43

well, six ounce bottles heron he never takes more than six at a go althoug the amount he had last is unusal even for him. Hoping its a sign he is getting ready to sleep through.

Like K he doesn't eat a huge amount - will instantly drop any food you give him onto the floor - except biscuits.

heron22 · 22/07/2009 10:57

hmmm looks like LO is expecting to be rocked to sleep these days... dont want to go down that road!

so gave him a little milk, he is tired and ready for sleep. so letting him settle himself. and then when he is asleep, will go give him rest of his feed. thats the theory anyway. wonder if it will work?

heron22 · 22/07/2009 11:49

ladies, LO started being unsettled when i started putting him in his bassinet for his naps (this is because he fell off our bed during a nap!) anyway, i think he does not like sleeping in his bassinet! doh! he is a big boy at 10kgs and prob the mattress of the bassinet is not that comfy compared with our big bed.

i have put extra barriers around him. he is sleeping soundly now. fingers crossed!

Tee2072 · 22/07/2009 13:01

heron I've been swaddling Adam to get him to sleep anywhere but my arms. It seems to be working!

Great bumbo mystery solved. It was sent by my cousin!!
