all you have to do now Heron is teach him how to load the washing machine and you will be well away

mrsboogie · 21/07/2009 16:41

washing machine y'say? hmmm.

just had a call from the nursery. D pulled himself upto standing and promptly fell over and we have yet another head injury form to accept..

/sighs

We're back and GP is so confused that she's sending us to a paediatrician. It doesn't feel like hip dysplasia and she can weight bear - so no idea why it's happening but she agreed it looked odd - almost impossible. I must snap a pic.

So, nothing we can do so, until we get the appointment .... no point in worrying any more.

jw no we didn't get MMR - she was too snotty, a bit warm and they're not doing MMRs unless they're in tip top health as apparently there is a massive outbreak of piggy flu in our small part of town AND a massive TB outbreak, so not worth compromising their immune systems for at the moment.

Right - must get Iris's tea ready as she's due back with MIL. Will catch up later x

Tee2072 · 21/07/2009 17:22

So...bumbo arrived today from Amazon. Says 'enjoy your gift!' With no indication as to who sent it.

heron22 · 21/07/2009 17:22

jj hedgepig jw yes a real juggling act! it is raining here today and so we are confined indoors! grrrr!!!!!
am feeling like a bad mother cos DS1 has watched so much cbeebies it is not funny!

yes i agree small boys are like dogs, they need daily running around the yard!

bonzo goodluck with your section tomorrow!

LO is cranky cos of his disrupted sleep today. i have placed him in front of the washing machine and he is sitting watching it go round and round and round he loves it

heron22 · 21/07/2009 17:23

oops sorry for double posting

hedgepig · 21/07/2009 17:37

I had a bit of a Groundhog Day moment there Heron

heron22 · 21/07/2009 18:07

hedgepig

heron22 · 21/07/2009 18:10

tee my LO got a seat very much like a bumbo. it is a prince lionheart seat. it is a great first seat. also good for feeding LO. i sit him on the kitchen floor and i sit in front of him and i spoonfeed him. all the mess is easily washed off. thing is LO has got such chubby thighs that it is a bit of a squeeze getting into the chair so funny!

jj that is bad news, pig flu and TB outbreak! i am trying not to get paranoid. but it is hard not to. read today schools and nurseries might be forced to close???

hedgepig · 21/07/2009 18:14

could it be the stockbrokers again TEE? maybe they are stalking you with presents

Tee2072 · 21/07/2009 18:49

Never thought of that hedgepig!! Could be!

johnworf · 21/07/2009 18:57

Bit early for a bumbo??

JJ that sounds very curious if it's not dysplasia. What are they thinking of?

mrsb head injury phase. Another one to tick off the list

DS#2 so very happy with his Google phone. Think he loves it more than me. Great.

K is being a witch. Think it's her teeth. She smacks her lips when I get the calpol out. I think she really likes it. Calpol nightcaps anyone?

heron22 · 21/07/2009 19:02

anyone else sick of the sound of whining crying baby?

heron22 · 21/07/2009 19:04

this is turning out to be a nightmare evening. LO got frightened cos DS1 put into my pockets some magnets and of course they dropped out and hit the wooden floor in kitchen. so LO woke up frightened now he wont settle. it has been 40 mins. i am so worried he will puke all over himself

heron22 · 21/07/2009 19:05

i think i need to go out and get some fresh air.

Tee2072 · 21/07/2009 19:07

heron so very sick of that sound today. And last night. Doesn't help that my PND seems to be really kicking in. I think I'll do nothing all week. Except hold Adam and watch West Wing.

mrsboogie · 21/07/2009 19:19

you're sounding quite stressed there heron are you ok?

that is a bit curious jj

I am sort of tempted to ask if D can have his MMR early so that it is out of the way before SF hits here badly. At the moment Yorkshire isn't too bad but when it really gets going it might be difficult to get the MMR done. I would have to have it put off for months especially if other kids are not getting it either. More worried about measles than SF.

Stormfly · 21/07/2009 19:33

heron - fresh air is always good for cabin fever, hope it helps. It is hard juggling the needs of two - especially the first week of the holidays when everything is out of routine till things settle down.

neddie - when you next pop in, which is the train and which is the galloping pony?

heron22 · 21/07/2009 19:43

tee have you been to see your gp? the anti depressants take about 2 weeks to take effect. so the sooner you take it the better. let me know how you are.

i am super stressed. stormfly yes everything is out of routine. it should settle down soon. i hope.

LO eventually puked all over himself. good thing DH came home when LO puked. he helped with the cleaning up.

am thinking of putting gaviscon back in his 6pm feed. so that he does not puke it up so easily. hopefully.

i went outside and just sat on the steps and started thinking, why on earth did we ever have kids? we were happy and married for over 9 years and then i thought heck, my time is running out! better have kids! it was so hard when DS1 was born. i had bad PND. did not want another one. until DS1 started asking for brother. then i thought it would be really sad if he did not have a sibling. so here is LO. who is lovely. but damn hard work at times.

ok finished rant.

Tee2072 · 21/07/2009 19:46

Heron, I see her Friday. This will be our conversation:

me: Hi
her: Hi. How are you?
me: Awful. Every med I came off of to have Adam, please.
Her: Okey dokey!!

And these meds? Don't take 2 weeks.

jeanjeannie · 21/07/2009 20:09

Evening all. Well, yes jw and mrsb no idea as to what it could be except I was wondering about that double-jointed thing....is it called hypermobility? She can weight bear but as she's got heavier it's not as good as it was. Oh I don't know - and not keen on Googling it in case I go nuts

heron I'm sorry you're having a rough old day - you're probably all out of your routine, it being the start of the holidays.

tee lol@ your Dr conversation...sounds most agreeable to me - go for it!! I'm with hedgepig I think it's the stockbrokers!

Right - an early night for me - definately

hedgepig · 21/07/2009 20:22

Heron sorry you are having a crap time, I was very please when DH got home this evening. Both boys have been good today but it's still stressy trying to get the balance right. Has DS1 stated his holiday clubs yet? We are on holiday next week and then the week after that I have booked DS1 into football club, so he can run around and see his mates.

Must go and fix my bike (I'm changing the tyre for smoother ones which should make the big bike ride easier, it's on Sunday Help!

mrsboogie · 21/07/2009 21:05

anyone watching the Desperate Romantics thing on bbc2? I don't normally got for Irish men especially ones with longish hair but Gawd I sooooooo would...

/lusts

FloriaTosca · 21/07/2009 21:27

JJ Curious!Sorry can't be of any help ... fab attitude not worrying until you can see the specialist but difficult to keep the mind off it. Dh is back on Friday and then we are taking 2 weeks off ...rediscover each other it seems so long since we spent more than an hour in eachothers company...it will be like a second honeymoon but without the Cuban sunshine and cocktails (and probably laying turf instead of eachother! )

Off for a long hot soak and an early(for me)night ...praying that this cold Alex and I have got is gone by the morning....

jeanjeannie · 21/07/2009 21:33

floria LOL@ rediscovering each other and laying turf....nice! Hope Alex has a good night.

hedgepig you're a brave lady and I do like your new sporty FB pic...ala bike! You're not related to Lance Armstrong are you??

mrsB be careful now......that's how you get preggie you know. Lusting after the most perculiar chaps and then jumping your DP to get rid of all the pent up excitement Oh, now by my calculations that would make for a lovely spring baby
