oh I do hope they'll at least exchange it as I know I'd never wear it again There wan't anything else there mrsb but they did have a very nice cream/navy stripey cardi I could swap it for (same shape as the multi stripe one I bought in East - I'm a bit of a cardi-for-all-occasions freak(except, evidently, black tie dos) )

I'm glad you all like the frock though (very resaleable I thought )

ermintrude - oh poor you vomming on the loo (I do that when I go into labour - it's a panic to know which end to deal with first isn't it) Yuk at the "deepfried" smell - the smell of the doughnut van in town makes me want to hurl even when I'm not pg!! I think you should just go into labour now and get it all out the way

Come on babytab your public is waiting.

babytee - get ready to go next week

heron22 · 31/05/2009 14:55

hello, what a gorgeous day today!

jw poor you after last night, hope K is better today?

mrsb nice to have a night out isnt it?
we are going to centreparc for hols and i told DH that we should take the amby as LO is used to sleeping in it. but he said that would be another thing to carry. i agree with him, but worry that LO might not sleep in cot! and that would ruin our holiday! and like you said, it is easy to take apart and put together. and comes in a carry bag too.

mrsboogie · 31/05/2009 15:26

oh heron if we took D anywhere to sleep overnight and didn't have the Amby there would be NO sleep. You have been warned

Tabitha8 · 31/05/2009 17:49

Well, within 24 hours BabyTab ought to be here! Crikey. Can hardly believe it. We really ought to think of some names.
Tee There's an old wives' tale that says heartburn = baby born with lots of hair. I haven't had heartburn at all, so BabyTab ought to be bald. I'll let you know soon!

johnworf · 31/05/2009 18:42

tabitha good luck for tomorrow. How exciting! I heard the one about heartburn and hair and on my DD#1 I had heartburn so badly. I even got it after water. She was born with a head full of black hair. Honestly! Will you let us know by means fair or foul how you get on tomorrow?

K's been really off all day. No idea why. Think it's the heat. Also, for the past 3 days she's had what looks like an allergic rash all over her arms and on her knees. No idea what's caused it. It may be the eczema getting worse as she's really scratching it. Have HV coming tomorrow so will ask and probably get her to the GP. We've a week of appointments coming during the week........

Well, had nice afternoon with all the grown up children and K. We've been talking about all going away next year as a family and getting a villa. Just ideas at the mo but I'd really love for us all to be together on holiday

ermintrude poor you puking and pooing at the same time. That would make me very distressed dear. I do hope you are over the worst of it now. Not long left before LO is here and all these horrid things will be gone.

mrsb glad that you had a good night out. You deserve one. Also that D was a good boy....I think he was a good boy as I don't recall reading anything to the contrary....then again, sleep deprivation and all, I'm not sure what I've read

I'm dreading tonight as can see a re-run coming but must banish all negative thoughts and think only good sleep ones

Good Luck Tab!! Try to let us know, yeah?

JW sounds like a lovely day with the family. And a villa sounds like a great idea.

ermintrude DH insisted on popping into a shop that sells sausage rolls the other day. I thought I would puke from the smell. Then he offered me a bite! UGH! NO! (not envy, nausea!)

Just got off the phone with my Dad. He says 'so you will ring when it comes, yeah?' to which I said 'Nope, you'll have to watch DH's Facebook page.' He didn't think that was funny.

iris66 · 31/05/2009 20:04

Tabitha warmest wishes from here too for tomorrow. Hope everything is fluffy and serene for your first meeting with the lovely babytab. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

jw - funnily enough I was discussing a full family holiday next year with DD1 earlier (we're thinking about a cottage in Cornwall) Hope K's eczema quietens down again soon. DS1 gets it on his knees really badly. Hydrocortisone & bathing in dead sea salts (from Boots) seems to ease it but this heat is just making everything flare - poor lamb.

Having a seriously early night tonight as I was up so much last night. The boys have been crawling all over me most of the day too which, with BHs, hasn't been nice at all. Hope everyone has pleasant evenings.

johnworf · 31/05/2009 20:11

Early night here too after last night. Race you up the stairs iris

ermintrude13 · 31/05/2009 21:50

Tab hope tomorrow goes really well .

JW and hope you and K get some sleep!

Night night Tee, Iris, Mrsb, heron et all.

mrsboogie · 31/05/2009 22:55

nite all

tab good luck to you and a smooth entry to the world for little tab

BonzoDoodah · 31/05/2009 22:58

Good luck with baby Tab - hope it all goes well. Let us know!

Iris - gorgeous clothes - I thought the beaded cardi was lovely and would be great with that dress. Never mind.

MrsB glad you had a good night out despite the boiler! Ours was condemmed when I was 41 weeks preggers and we had to have a whole new system fitted. Went into labour 2 days later and had the poor boiler fitter-man stressing that I was going to pop on him as he did the piping.

We've had a gorgeous couple of days - BBQ at friend's house yesterday - M not in bed til gone 10:30 ... and STILL up at 7:30 (swine). But she was really well behaved.
Today we had the paddling pool out and I had to get changed into a swimming cozzy as M insisted on taking most of the water out of the pool and onto me. Now I have shooting pains in my bump whenever I bend over. Don't know if it is overdoing it or something more severe. Yuck.

Tee glad the bag is packed! REally. now go get Rantidine - really helps - honest.

iris66 · 01/06/2009 02:58

so much for the early night . I still woke up at 1am again, have been to the loo 3 times, written a to do list for tomorrow and sorted some paperwork out. THe baby's wide awake too and merrily roaming around my innards making me feel sick, which is not funny (can a baby be too active?) I do seem to remember threatening to issue both boys with asbos when pg as they were so wriggly (sigh*) maybe a cuppa and a biscuit will help.....

Neddie · 01/06/2009 07:58

Hi all
Sorry no post this weekend but I have had a serious trauma. Babies seem fine so at least that's OK. I am the worlds biggest s**t magnet.
Here's the senario.....

I had a friend (quite odd but not sectionable) she needed somewhere to stay on and off and I was on my own so could do with help and company. I gave her a key and the upstairs spare double bedroom.

We arranged to go out on my canoe on Saturday but after waiting for an hour in the blazing heat and no contact I went home....
to find her gone plus all my money to pay my parents for the rest of my car, some clothes and the last £5 from my wallet!

I have spent the last 2 days crying and making statements to the police and tracking her family, who were lovely and had apparently had years of this behaviour and offered to pay for anything she had done to me!
I am gutted... there's more but I can't bring myself to say it. Makes me question my faith..... if I get chance I'll give him upstairs a piece of my mind!!

Neddie · 01/06/2009 07:59

Ps. I had made such a good job of investigating for the police they have told me to apply for a job when the babies are old enough!!!

iris66 · 01/06/2009 08:34

neddie - that's awful!!! You must have been so shaken Are you OK now? Your friend must have been either very desparate or have some kind of mental health issue to have been so callous in the face of your hospitality. Nice of the police to praise you though you'll have to open your own sleuthing business

johnworf · 01/06/2009 09:08

neddie that's bloody awful. Such a breach of trust Hope you are ok though and they finally catch up with him. Are we now to call you PI Neddie?

bonzo I'd ring your MW just to be on the safe side. Sounds like you've overdone it but best to get the all clear from the officials.

iris hope you are enjoying the last few hours of freedom How exciting a new baby on the thread. Not had one for a while.

DH took K out last night in the car. Usual routine to get her to sleep. However, she started coughing whilst he was driving and ended up puking her guts up in her car seat. He panicked and went to his sister's house which was closest. K screams at the sight of my SiL so was near hysterical by the time he got her home. Anyway, managed to get her cleaned up, calmed down and into bed. She slept in until 8am this morning. Her cheeks are scarlet though but no temperature as I checked. I have HV here in an hour to do her 8 month check so I'm going to ask her. Also, she's had what I though was a cold for past week and this blotchy rash on her arms is concerning me. I'll see what HV thinks. I've rescheduled her jabs for this Wednesday so going to check she'll be ok for having them.

Lovely day here. Washing out on the line.

Pinch and a punch for the first of the month

jj hope you have a pleasant journey back and not too many traffic jams.

neddie ((((((Big Hugs))))))) how Flipping crap! Please don't let this make you doubt everyone, there are good people out there. I wonder how you will fit the sleuthing in with everyting else you do, but I'm sure you will find some time . Maybe you could ride horses to the scene of crimes like an old fashioned sheriff, a twin in each saddle bag.

I am sat in the garden with the laptod and a cup of coffee, O is asleep afer his 5:45 start...how civilised. I'm just realising this wil be the last summer I have "off" (ie.not working) until I retire so I am going to make the most of it. Back to work in September .

The Tripp Trapp has arrived so I am going to try and construct it before DH gets home, as DIY stresses him out a lot.

Tee2072 · 01/06/2009 09:19

Good morning all.

neddie! How awful. I hope they find her.

I actually had a heartburn free night! No idea how that happened, just glad it did.

I'm off to the shops this morning for a nice cuppa at my favourite place and then some retail therapy, including fun things like travel sized shampoo for my hospital bag.

Enjoy the lovely weather all!

BonzoDoodah · 01/06/2009 09:57

Oh Neddie what a nightmare. And what a ruddy awful friend. Is she bipolar? I've heard of poeple doign this kind of thing when they are in a severe high or low. Hopefully the family will sort you out and you won't be out of pocket financially - only spiritually.
What a way to repay your kindness. And when you are pregnant too. Poor you. Try not to dwell on her letting you down so much. You did the right thing and shouldn't feel bad. But woo hoo on the new carreer!

jw let us know how K is ... sound like a low grade illness doesn't it. Now she's going out more she's bound to start picking up all the lurgies she's been shielded from so far.

I finally phoned the midwife at gone midnight as the pains in my bump were really bad and I couldn't remember the last time I felt the baby move. Midwife thought the pains were stretched ligaments from doing too much (well done jw). And on her advice I ended up in a warm bath with gallons of ice cold water (to drink). Finally the little swine moved and I could got o bed at 1:30am. At which point apparently it was party time inside- with added dancing. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZzZzzzzzzzzzzz
