Will this do?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
maz32 · 20/11/2008 12:46

hey lizzie wot dod ur midwife say? ne news of early scan?fingers crossed xx

lastboxoftampons · 20/11/2008 13:06

herby great news on your scan!!!! Congrats to you!

I suspect it's too early, but I haven't had any symptoms beyond sore boobs and cramping yet. And it feels like the cramping is lessening. Last night I had a dream that I was bleeding everywhere and in my dream I knew it was over, so I was really upset. I was so relieved when I woke up this morning, but I do believe this is going to be the longest first trimester there ever was!!!!

joyfuleyes · 20/11/2008 13:22

Herby - great news

Didn't sleep much last night but I've just got back All okay, they've moved my due date forwards so I'm 13 weeks today. Very relieved but 18 weeks is the big one for me - I'm seeing the consultant again on Monday to arrange next scans, ideally I'd like 2 more between now & the 20 week one.

cece · 20/11/2008 13:40

joyfuleyes, yes 18 weeks the big hurdle for me too. I have a scan with cons at 17 weeks and then midwife at 18 weeks. I am currently 14 plus 3. Think I can feel the baby move but it might be wind

herbaceous · 20/11/2008 14:01

I've had a thought. Is it just me, or does anyone else find it hard to remember the exact situation of everyone on the thread? who's at what week, how many MCs, when, problems, etc.

Maybe we could make a reference list? Along the lines of
Herbaceous. 42. 8+5. 4MCs
Cece. 41. 14+3. Er... you see I don't know the history!

Or something.

cece · 20/11/2008 14:04

herb, Glad scan went well! but sushhhh about our ages! LOL I am trying to pass for 39!

herbaceous · 20/11/2008 14:07

Sorry Cece! Ii'm wondering too whether it might be time to start lying about my age. Here and elsewhere.

dan39 · 20/11/2008 14:55

Or another way is to try to remember to post where we are as we post? Lets face it we are all wishing our lives away!! Eg today I would start with (29+1)? Just a thought...

herbaceous · 20/11/2008 15:00

Indeed, that would be another way. I'm sure we can avoid getting like those 'other sites' with glittery tickers, avatars, and other vileness in their signatures!

dan39 · 20/11/2008 15:11

You have time to look at these 'other sites' of which you speak??! I have all on with keeping up with you guys here!!

herbaceous · 20/11/2008 15:13

I don't actually go on them - they just sometimes pop up during a particularly thorough google search on the latest symptom!

dan39 · 20/11/2008 15:38

Me too actually - the american ones are funny sometimes...oops no offence to any americans here...

Off to my first antenatal class tonight! Excited but worried dh is going to hate it...

Wheelybug · 20/11/2008 15:50

Good luck at the antenatal class Dan - makes it all seem real I think. DH didn't particularly like going to ours (I made him go to NHS and NCT) and wasn't over the moon when I announced that I wanted to do a one day workshop with an active birthing teacher this time. As I see it, I didn't go through proper labour last time and hope to this time and given that they will intervene even quicker this time because of previous c-sec I need to be fully prepared. Am broaching the subject of having a doula as well but he's not keen on that idea either - mainly because he's worried about offending the midwives/doctors.

LOL at the tickers - some are quite amusing !

Wheelybug - age 33, 1 dd (aged 3 and 3/4), 1 m/c July 06 followed by inability to conceive, now 23 weeks and 6 days (yesterday I think I said I was 24 weeks today but was a day ahead of myself... preghead strikes again).

ladylush · 20/11/2008 19:05

If you don't mind, I don't want my stats printed as everytime I do that (in a list) I seem to miscarry , but if I get to 12 weeks and all is well then I will post them in capitals! I'm 36 (almost 37), have a 4yr old ds, have had one ectopic and 2 mmc. No one cut and paste please! Oh and I'm 7+1 weeks.

scotlass · 20/11/2008 22:54

ladylush I can completely understand that. I only braved the due date list at 14wks.

I'm 18+2, 36, have a 9yr old DD and have had 3mc's in past year and a bit.

OK, so have decided squeezing into normal clothing at 21+ wks is going to be madness after the last 2 days of normal work clothes as have only bought 1 pair of black maternity work trousers. Think it is beginning to sink in there is a baby growing in there . Need to wear a long dress really for ball as most others do, will feel more glam and have horrible tree trunk legs.

Which do you think?

No 1

No 2

lizzie9442 · 20/11/2008 23:11

maz -sorry only just got your messages, I rang today but there is not a midwife around until tomorrow so i have to ring back tomorrow and hopefully they will refer me for an early scan. I will let you know. thanks

ladylush · 21/11/2008 09:16

scotlass I like number two best but if it was me would have to wear a bolero or shawl as I don't like my upper arms, but if you have good arms strapless dresses look stunning.

winemakesmummyclever · 21/11/2008 10:27

I vote for number two. Would also have to get a shawl-scarfy thing for my bingo wings if I was buying it.

Alas, I have no glam nights out. Dh has asked if I want to go to his Xmas do. soberly sit quietly getting fatter surrounded by a bunch of docs as they rapidly consume their own body weight in fine wine whilst you bugger off and play on stage with your band, then drive drunken mates home to the other side of Manchester ?!? Erm...I'll pass thank you.

[insert grumpy emoticon]

ladylush · 21/11/2008 10:31

Ha Ha - well put like that, no doesn't sound like much fun!

DarrellRivers · 21/11/2008 10:44

Have lurked on your thread for ages as have had what 2 MCs recently.

But am puzzled now as to the most recent one
Today, 2 weeks after start of heavy bleeding(which lasted 1 week), have just done a repeat pregnancy test to check had returned to negative and it came up pretty strongly positive.
I don't feel pregnant at all, but last few nights had a bit of heartburn which is a bit unusual.
I know I need a scan but any other tales, my goodness I really bled heavily, dark blood, lots of it and tissue {shock], I just can't believe there is anything left to make a bfp

DarrellRivers · 21/11/2008 10:47

Sorry was bfp at 4w, bleeding started at 5w, so would be 7 weeks now

ladylush · 21/11/2008 10:48

sorry to hear of your mcs Have you tried using the clearblue test with conception indicator? If you are pg, that would tell you whether it fits in with dates. Other possibility is that there is retained products and you might need a D+C. Or it could've been twins and maybe you lost one? Hope it's a good outcome. Are there any epu's near where you live?

DarrellRivers · 21/11/2008 10:54

thanks ll, yes I have one at home, but am at work, and yes am trying to get private scan, but don't want to get my hopes up again, I had dealt with the not being pregnant IFSWIM
I will do the clearblue tomorrow am and I think that will give some answers

scotlass · 21/11/2008 11:12

Thanks guys - am now going to order no 2 - I liked that one best too! Just hope it's not too long, I have a habit of getting heels caught in the hem! Will be a sober night indeed but luckily DH lives in the mess so I can go to bed when I've had enough. My friend is coming too and she hardly drinks so will get some sensible conversation out of her.

darrell, in my experience the only sure fire way of finding out what's going on is to get scanned. The EPU service seems to vary greatly but I'd phone them direct and explain. You could have lost a twin? or maybe just a bit of a heavy bleed and bean is holding in there. Or sadly it could be another mc and it takes your body a little while to get used to not being pg. I had a mmc and had positive results for a couple of weeks. So sorry for your loss - if it is one that is. This pg thing is really hard sometimes.

lastboxoftampons · 21/11/2008 11:38

Scotlass I love the second one! So elegant! Good choice. What color do you think you'll get? Hopefully the bump will keep the hem off the floor!

Darrell I saw your post on the main pregnancy board - I don't have any advice to offer, just good vibes {{{{{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}}} Hoping it all works out for you, but I totally understand how you feel you've already come to terms with losing this pregnancy and don't want to get your hopes up. Please do have a scan and let us know how it goes.

Lizzie hoping you can get in for an early scan.

I'm 32, 4+4 with baby #1 (hopefully!), had a mmc at 11 weeks in March, fetus measured 7.
