i wish it worked for me.

no joy.

ILikeToScareYouScareYou · 27/10/2008 19:28

If you can't find your cervix, how about a husband/partner sweep?

Have sex and make sure it's in an extra pokey position - it worked for me!

Good luck MamaG, I can't believe you're due already. I remember you being on F&Z's overdue thread and it seemed like you had ages to go.

Good luck!

misdee · 27/10/2008 19:28

ladies on the nov boards are using evening primrose oil. apparently a couple of capsules shoved in your fanjo, dissolved on the cervix works wonders. pop a couple in at night, dissolved by morning.

mum2jakeyroo · 27/10/2008 22:06

MamaG · 27/10/2008 22:19

Yeah i have to admit I'm not sure I could even get in there if I tried!

You lot are so selfish, you're going to drag this thread out to the bitter end aren't you? And then we'll have Mr. MNers trying to work MN to tell us all how it's gone, and we'll all be checking the threads every five minutes, and moaning and grumping with you....

God I love a prelabour thread Not sure why, can't knit to save my life, but other's will already have theirs out, don't want to be left out of being due and the knitting.

filz · 28/10/2008 07:55

you need the baby on saturday mamag, all the best people ARE BORN ON THE 1ST

UmSami · 28/10/2008 08:34

How's it going MamaG?
Fingers crossed for you!
Good luck to you and all other ladies in waiting...
I'm due tomorrow and am bloody sick of it too!
Did everything with DS1 and you know what worked in the end?...induction
Memo to uterus - WE ARE NOT GOING TO BE INDUCED THIS TIME!

LostProphet · 28/10/2008 08:37

Evening primrose capsules in your fanjo!?!?!?

MamaG · 28/10/2008 09:28

Everything has stopped

gah

Back to waiting for induction, 2 weeks today and counting! I even, rather self-consciously, talked to baby last night aloud and said things like "its time to come out now, I'm really looking forward to meeting you" - luckily DH was out!

OP posts:
LostProphet · 28/10/2008 09:30

I did that with DS and "showed" him all the pretty baby clothes in tesco that I would buy him if he just Came Out

expatinscotland · 28/10/2008 09:30

you are not alone, MamaG.

was up till 2AM here.

with gas pains from eating too much split pea soup.

mum2jakeyroo · 28/10/2008 09:32

Ooh that was where i was induced twice but had ds3 in Kendal as a bit nearer. Good luck. xx

MamaG · 28/10/2008 09:34

REally mum2? Do you still live in that area?

I could have gone to Kendal, but was a bit iffy about not having doctors/epidurals etc, its about 40 minutes from me

Ouch expat! Even magic gaviscon cum advance didn't help hten? Poor you, I hate that feeling.

Lost Prophet -

hA HA HA at partner doing sweep I read it quickly and could just imagine - 'Darling would you mind just having a bit of a prod around....'

I'm 3 days overdue and so over it now. Was loving it until this morning as kids gone to Grannies for half term so we have a tidy quiet house - did loads of household chores yesterday.

But today.... couldn't sleep til 5am, then woke every 20 mins (small contratctions? Yeah right no jmust me waking myuself up snoring I think.

I have work I could do but I just can't be arsed. If I had a baby now would not be doing anything except gibbering and dripping milk and sobbing about Fanjo sores. Yet somehow it seems preferable.

mum2jakeyroo · 28/10/2008 09:41

We now live about 40 mins from each hospital but family were in Kendal in case needed them for childcare and lancaster can be a nightmare at certain times of day and I like the aftercare at kendal. But in the end I never had any pain relief cos of babys quick arrival anyway.

CharleeInChains · 28/10/2008 09:43

Haha i did the Primrose capsules in the fanjo thing with ds1 and i went into labour a few hours after putting them in, the midwife found them.

{Charlee whispers to MamaG - try Pineapple then it will be one of your 10 F&V portions and help to bring on baby!}

MamaG · 28/10/2008 09:44

lol Flum I know what you mean!

mum2 - I'm planning to transfer to Kendal for a couple of days after having baby at Lanc as I've heard the aftercare is fab.

I'm trying to work out where you are

OP posts:
LilRedWGoreandguts · 28/10/2008 09:44

Come on babies! I'm broody and need you to be born.

MamaG · 28/10/2008 09:45

Oh Charlee I've been eating pineapple almost
every day since i got pg! Ilove it. So I think I'd have to eat about 10 to get it to induce labour!!

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 28/10/2008 09:45

I'll be at RAH, Paisley for 48 hours after birth following induction at this rate.

Fuck a duck.

This next fortnight is going to suck.
