she was already up between my legs getting ready to work her magic with her forceps.

i was grateful she was there and had already signed the consent forms for the CS if the forceps failed.

after 24 hours of labour and 32 hours with no sleep, i was past caring.

Do you think you might sleep a bit if you tried somewhere other than your bed? A chair or sofa maybe? Sometimes getting into bed knowing you aren't going to sleep is so stressful that it keeps you awake iyswim? Maybe if you change the scenary a bit...?

no, i won't be able to sleep.

i'm the type who can never sleep on airplanes or trains, either.

have dreadful insomnia even in the best of times.

tempted to take a co-codamol tablet tonight because this sweep isn't doing shit.

Ok so I'll bin my next suggestion of taking the sleeper down to Euston and back then...

dd went to 42 weeks but had strong contractions every night from 3am till 7am when they'd stop. But I guess they got everything ready cos she was q quickish birth.

Just to make you REALLY jealous, got a baby boy on Friday night/Sat morning at 00.30, after 4 hours pretty cool labour! Hoorah birth announcement here to get you in the mood.....

I was 40+7 and from two days earlier had tried curry, sex, and scrubbing floors, not sure if any helped though!!!

oh that is the worst bit isnt it, the comments DD2 was due in a half term holiday and it was all "Oh when we see you next you will have a little one" well DD2 was 10 days late.

"oh you not had it yet" "come on lazy bones get a move on" Are you sure you are pregnant and not just eating doughnuts all day" "oh we wanted to see your baby" "xxx(2yearold) will be so dissapointed" Oh and the best was "oh good you've not dropped it yet you can pick XXXX up for me today as I'm a bit tired and want to go back to bed"

i have sent dh on the school run. and i still have two weeks left. cant face co0mments today, after awful nights sleep.

I must have had that face because although I had multiple pairs of eyes flick to my bump, not ONE person said anything effing stupid about me still being pregnant! I set off from home slight grim faced I must admit
