So sorry TMD - take care of yourself.

Wheelybug · 16/10/2008 16:00

Looby - great news !

LOL Dan ! But maybe you're right... maybe I should find out - dither, dither...

Managed antenatal yoga today - all that talk of pelvic floors and birth positions made me begin to think it might be real !!

dan39 · 16/10/2008 16:31

Boobylou I like it!

sussexoldspot · 16/10/2008 19:13

TMD so, so sorry for you. Take care of yourself.

Daisy5 totally empathise with your situation. MMC and chem preg for me so far this year. Now 6 weeks gone and just waiting for it to go wrong.

On a positive note, though, yay Boobylou!

sussexoldspot · 16/10/2008 20:28

Thinking about it all, I have finally succumbed (sp?) to panic. I am 6 weeks and am not in the slightest bit queasy. Is this a bad sign, do you reckon? Just went and did another '10 for 99p' preg test and it was a nice, fat positive still. Aaaargh, help!

bunnyinheadlights · 16/10/2008 23:36

hello ladies - i kinda fell off the mn planet for a while - was on hols for 3 weeks in sept and then never got back to the internet due to extreme fatigue after work. feeling slightly better these days but still quite nauseous at night. havent been able to really catch up on the thread as so much has happened so sorry if i miss out lots of people...

congrats to all the new mums - ronshar popsy sorry if i missed others.

hello to newcomers - welcome to the insane life of worry of us knicker checkers.

special hello to cece and aquababe i recognise you from the avengers thread and am so pleased to see you here. congrats!

wmmc great to hear about your scan. you are my pg twin as i am 21 weeks this week. had scan last week too and all was fine. what a relief. still have some residual worry left but trying to block it out somehow. hope i will belucky to post my birthstory here one day too.

waves to everyone else!

dan39 · 17/10/2008 09:49

sussex you are not alone in your panic!! good news on the positive test tho. Do you have an appointment or scan with anyone soon?

Has popsy popped then?

TMD · 17/10/2008 09:57

Sorry for the emotional collapse. Yest was hard but got through it some how.

Thank you for all your kind words. I still have a small part of me hoping the tests were wrong, but nothing more for me to do as doc said if -ve just carry on trying? I do feel nautious peeing alot still but not sure if that just anxiety from it all.

Thanks Hairytoe I hope you hang in there I'm sure it will happen. I know for me with family history that for last 6 yrs I've been on a gluten free diet and there is some medical research to say that can help with pregnancy as is some link with gluten and miscarriages but obviously made no diff this time for me. Gluten isn't needed in our diets anyway. I saw it on 'this morning'wed this week if you look on their web link about symptoms that can take up to 13 yrs to diagnose through a gp I went private and had tests done. I'll look in from time to time to see how your all doing Keeping my fingers crossed for all of you. Take care xxxxxx

sussexoldspot · 17/10/2008 12:53

Oh, TMD, my heart goes out to you, as I'm sure does everyone's on here. Are you able to take some time out/off?

Thank you for your words of solidarity in panic dan! Have just arranged a 'panickers scan' at the local EPU, but it's not until 27th Oct, so lots of anxiety time between now and then. "You might as well just relax until then", says DP

Great news about your scan bunny. I love reading great, positive posts like yours.

Wheelybug · 17/10/2008 14:16

Quick post as am dashing but was worrying about Popsy - found this on antenatal thread. Ronnie forgot about us

"Popsy had her little minipops. 15th October, 10.52pm. Stella Frances, 8lbs 14oz. Mum doing really well. A very proud Mum and Dad."

Yeah Popsy - and welcome Stella. Hope you're not too sore.

Thinking of everyone - esp those who are in stressful early stages. SUssex - the pregnancy i was the sickest with early on was the pregnancy I m/c so don't think there's anything to necessarily worry about with not feeling sick. You may just be lucky.

LackaDAISYcal · 17/10/2008 16:37

woo hoo for popsy, Mr popsy and mini pops ...Big big big congratulations . Lovely name, and I hope that you are doing OK after the section and that stella is adjusting to the outside world

SnoopDog · 17/10/2008 23:45

STELLA

hello baby...

pops you did great sweets,

love to dd, dh and you (((hugs)))

details when you get a chance...

ronshar · 18/10/2008 08:51

Sorry, sorry, sorry. I tried to post the news on Thursday am but laptop died. I then had such a busy day that yes I did forget. [hangs head in shame]

TDM, I am very sorry for your loss. We have all been where you are and it is a very hard place to be. Take the time to look after your self now.

I am really tired.

LackaDAISYcal · 18/10/2008 09:40

sorry you are feeling tired ronny

Is everything ok with your little man? time goes by so quickly that I forget your baby is still less than two weeks old. IT's a horrible time this first few weeks, but just remember the newborn baby mantra "this too shall pass"

And more importantly, are you OK? try and nap when baby sleeps as much as possible and not burn the candle at both ends.

{{{hugs}}}

Well done popsy and great name, on my shortlist in fact!! You are a star (geddit...??)

ronny sorry you are tired and hope it gets better soon...

Its so lovely on this thread to see the happy (if tired) endings - inspirational!!

hope all the panickers okay. I worried for half an hour in bed this morn cos could't feel any movement then turned and all was well. My bump is so tight, hard and itchy at the mo! (not that I am one to complain, you understand...)

scotlass · 18/10/2008 13:01

Just a really quick post as I am supposed to be MN free and spending time with DH and DD. Will catch up properly next week.

Congrats to popsy that's lovely news.

And a boy wmmc I was thinking there seems to be a girl thing on this thread!

Well I had my booking yesterday and all seems fine. Baby measuring 13+3 so time really does seem to be going backwards as my LMP date would make me 14+2 and I'd settled on 13+5 yesterday, I suppose what's a few days in 9.5 months. Just damaging psychologically. The only way to get a nuchal scan apparently is to go private and I'm too late really now so now have to decide about AFP and amnio if indicated. Why do they make you feel as if being 35 is a terrible thing!!

Told DD yesterday and she burst in to tears, happy tears apparently cos she's wanted this more than anything in the whole wide world . She's doing my nut in already talking constantly to my stomach but is being really sweet and gentle and has stopped launching herself at my stomach! I'm being told off by DH for constant doom so am determined to get positive now. Have a reassurance scan in 2wks and a 20wk anomaly scan booked so that will help me get through next 6wks.

Love to everyone, a wave to worrybum (hope you join the madsquad soon) and it's absolutely brilliant to see sussex. Oh dear dan but time off at home can be just as nice!! Got to go, being shouted on

winemakesmummyclever · 18/10/2008 13:42

Well done popsy & welcome to little Stella!

Ronshar - I can barely remember ds's first few weeks. You will all settle into a routine soon and the fatigue will ease hopefully.

dan - try some organic aloe vera gel if your skin is really itching. I had PUPPP with ds (ooooh, ds1 - still not got my head round the fact that ds2 is on the way) and have had a wee panic about that coming on again with this pg. It is rare in subsequent pregnancies thankfully. It was so bad towards my edd that I was in the shower every couple of hours, vowing to divorce dh and marry the man who had invented the scratchy/massage sponge . Not for me the well-tamed ladygarden and smooth legs - the rash was everywhere (and I do mean everywhere ). I was a hairy, itchy, sleep deprived wreck. Probably a good indication of what was in store for me as a new mother

scotlass - filled up when I read your dd's reaction & great news that you are at 13w. Now go and enjoy your family time woman!

TMD - hope that you are as ok as you can be and that you are getting the love, care and support from those around you that you need right now. Be good to yourself and hope that we will be hearing better news from you in the very near future.

bunny - glad things are good with you too. Am still knicker & loo paper checking - it is almost a complusive habit now. Did you find out the flavour at your scan? Bet you feel as though you need another holiday now eh?

Hi to everyone else

aquababe · 18/10/2008 13:44

tmd I'm really sorry. Hope you getting plenty of support

bunnyinheadlights hello to you too, it's great to finally be here.

big congrats popsy and echo great name

Feeling positive today
12 weeks exactly and 9 days to next scan

cece · 18/10/2008 18:37

hello all,

Been away from computer all week. MIl has been staying and the computer is in the spare room! Somehow she has guessed I am pg though we did not confirm or deny her question of "Have you got some news for me?"

I had my booking in on Weds which went fine, not nive going through the history of pg though is it?

I have a 12 week scan booked for 5th November. I have been given a number for some mw to call who is a specialist in screening tests as I am considering not haveing any done. At 41/42 I think it will automatically come out as high risk anyway (that is what I want to ask her). Plus no way would I be brave enough to have a CVS or amnio.

bunnyinheadlights · 18/10/2008 18:54

proper congrats to popsy and stella what a lovely name

tmd hope you are all right. do take it easy and rest lots and continue to post here. you have lots of support here.

cece - i know what you mean about booking in appt and having to go through the history - everytime i see my midwife or gp, they make me fill out a form with pg history and it is so sad to have to keeping writing all my mc's down. but i am so pleased to see you here fingers crossed for your 12 week scan x

wmmc forgot to say congrats on the boy news! we did find out but are not telling anyone in real life. so i feel very naughty telling you here - but we are expecting a girl!! i really wouldnt have minded any flavour as long as it is healthy - but now am v. pleased that dd will have a sister. trying to keep the mental torture at bay and not think negatively. i am too scared even to tell people my due date... in fact when people notice my bump i keep mumbling that i am still quite early on (until one colleague pointed out to me that 20 weeks was halfway there)...

scotlass feel hypocrital saying this given my rant above, but try not to worry about the dates thing. it's great that you saw baby with heartbeat and hopefully the size thing will sort itself out over the next few weeks. that can happen. it's nice to have another scan in 2 weeks' time for peace of mind though.

funtimewincies · 18/10/2008 19:41

Hello, might I join you and come and check my knickers in good company?

I found out that I was pg yesterday and after an ectopic, a mmc and a cp (and a lovely ds ) to say that I'm a tad nervous is an understatement. Just hoping that I'll get an early scan this time.

LoobyLou36 · 19/10/2008 09:39

Morning Ladies. Well I'm 12 weeks today and feeling alot more positive (at the moment) although I went to bed at 9 last night with a terrible headache and have woke up with it. Met some girl friends yesterday for lunch and they dragged me into mothercare, I felt so weird going in there, even tho one of my friends is also pregnant ( she 16 wks) I felt like I was jinxing myself - I know I'm paranoid. She was trying to get me to try things on..it's one thing to bid on things on ebay, quite another to try things on in mothercare! The morning sickness also seems worse now not better. Oh well all good signs I guess.

TMD · 19/10/2008 10:50

Hey guys lovely messages thanks I will keep in touch so many of you have been through a lot worse and come through other side so good for me to read. My husband is very supportive and luckily I don't work so don't have added pressure anymore, quit work in january as employer wasn't supportive to sick note and my health prob at the time. Money tight but we manage. congrats to funtimewinces, and to all those experiencing morning sickness everywhere always good sign means baby taking all your good nutrients I think Keep topping up the snacks, healthy ones of course good luck aquababe for next scan!!! should get dressed now, Hubbies ly in this am I've ben up since 5.45 with C. Must motivate myself!!!xxxx

SparkyMalarky · 19/10/2008 12:59

funtime - hello and congratulations!! (Have been lurking for a while ladies, feeling particularly pants, and still managing to be convinced of the worse - next scan on 6 Nov at 12+6)

Lovely to hear about all the new babies (Stella is a gorgeous name) and so sorry for those who've had not such good news (TMD - hope you're getting lots of TLC)

Hope everyone else is doing ok...am thinking that at 1pm I should get out of my Pjs......
