meant to say that she discussed the possibility of having antidepressants later in the pregnancy if I'm continuing to find it as difficult as I am now. I think that just the fact that she's taking me seriously helps.

LoobyLou36 · 14/10/2008 20:36

Thanks DaisyJ. Glad everything went okay for you. What's a doppler - sorry to sound thick. Only 38hrs till my scan - trying not to think about it but people who know I'm pregnant keep reminding me. Still checking every time I go to the loo too - I must stop this its probably not doing my blood pressure any good.

sussexoldspot · 14/10/2008 21:41

Hi, all

Looby, just wanted to say good luck with the scan. If it makes you feel any better/younger, I will be 41 in a couple of weeks' time and am 5+5 - in fact, there's a 40+ TTC thread and at present it's BFPs almost all round. One of our number is 45! Please don't worry, you are but a spring chicken

Good luck to TMD,WWMC, Vicky and everyone!

worrybum · 14/10/2008 22:21

Just hijacking thread for a minute to say a quick Hi and congratulations to scotlass after spotting her on this thread. Congratulations too to you other mnetters who are pregnant after miscarrying. Hopefully I'll be joining you in a few months time (we are waiting for a while before TTC again after 4mcs) but just wanted to send my best wishes x x x

dan39 · 14/10/2008 22:34

joyful That's great news about your scan - hope the next two weeks goes by quickly for you! As I think I might have said before, I too did the 'head down' approach and it did help...and I also had 7 week then 9 weeks scan (as my mmc was 8 and half)

So you lurk away!! Will be thinking of you, let us know how you get on! Love xxxx

Looby doppler is thing to hear heartbeat, handheld ultrasound thingy that the doc or mw uses on your belly with gel. Can be hard to find which is why some ple avoid them! (the heartbeat that is! Good luck with your scan too...

dan39 · 14/10/2008 22:43

wmmc all the best with your scan too, and daisyj glad things looking good with you too! vickyjane fingers crossed for you...Its hard to keep up with all this these days!! scotlass* hope you well you have been quiet - hopefully having fun with dh!!

I am off to Bratislava and Vienna for the rest of the week but I will be checking in on you all when I get back so am keeping fingers crossed, and thinking sticky thoughts for lots of good scans. My 24 week tummy is freaking me out as it is moving/twitching so much and feels huge but quite suddenly...I am pleased really of course but its still weird. Its a funny shape and y belly button is bulging which is frankly disgusting. But I am here - yay!!

daisy5 · 14/10/2008 23:21

lackadaisy - I've just remembered that it was you who first responded to my first ever MN post that I put up after my mc earlier this year.

Thanks again for your lovely note at the time.

Swaliswan · 15/10/2008 09:03

Hi Ladies,

Just wasting some time on mnet to try and steady my nerves before first midwife appointment at 11am. Do you think that she will try and find the heartbeat with a doppler? I'm 12+6 today with a second baby so it should be possible to find a HB but I don't know if she will try.

LackaDAISYcal · 15/10/2008 11:00

daisy5.

Not been here since Saturday and so much talk going on...I can't keep up! I have been busy on my VBAC/AN/PN/nappy threads though......

Good luck to everyone who has a scan soon. Fingers crossed for VickyJane and TMD (and hello and welcome)

sussex, good to have you back with us; all the sticky vibes I can muster coming your way (but not too many as I don't want them sticking to virgil )

helloo to all the newbies as well; it's nice to see the thread nice and busy .

Snoop, I need a wee bit of advice from you on 2nd trimester loss if that's OK. Can I email you?

I am officially FULL TERM tomorrow . Having regular BH contractions and even a few really bitey sore ones last night. After talking to DH about feelinh a bit glum, and saying I was really looking forward to labour; cut to later and after a few nasty, sore contractions I was nearly in tears, lol, i think I just overdid things yesterday....had a foot stomping incident as I was in a rage and walked too far yesterday. A good excuse for taking it easy today though.

DD is sort of fine; no more vomiting, but very odd things going on with her bowels. She has been constipated and now her poo is pale yellow.

And good news here....DH has resigned from his job and will hopefully start his new one before Christmas after nearly six weeks paternity/holiday leave. He will be home every night.,..yayyyyyy; although it might curb my MNetting somewhat

Love and hugs and sticky vibes to everyone....(those due to pop excused the sticky vibes though!!).

Now where is perkypopsy? Do I need to go and crash her AN thread?

FULL TERM

oh my daisy it will soon be over and little virgil will be here,

mail away...

me thinks pops may be a mummy!!!

Swaliswan · 15/10/2008 12:49

Well, Ladies, I'm back from the midwife appointment and a whole lot happier. It turns out that I'm measuring rather large for dates but only heard one FHB. I'm convinced that I can't be more pg than my dates as I kept getting neg tests until I was 5 weeks pg when the test turned so pink it was the deepest purple I've ever seen on a test.

Bring on the twins.......

winemakesmummyclever · 15/10/2008 12:51

Just a quickie.

Back from ANC - all well with the little MAN . Ds has been saying it was a girl baby all weekend, so was really shocked when they said it was a boy. Bah! no need for shopping for cute little baby things as still have everything from ds -probably need to cut back a bit anyway .

lackaDAISYcal - hope things go ok for and things start happening soon.

looby - good luck for scan.

joyful - good to hear from you and hope that you are ok. You lurk as much as you need to .

Better do some work now.

Wheelybug · 15/10/2008 14:20

OOh swaliswan - twins ?! Although I must say I have been large for dates ever since I got pregnant I think and have had 3 scans so far which have confirmed only one which I surprised myself by being relieved about. I had been on clomid so there was obviously a slightly higher chance of twins and I'd always wanted 3 but circumstances mean this will almost 100% be my last pregnancy so thought I might be quite pleased with twins. However, surprised myself by being relieved at 1 !! It may be because one of my best friends has twins exactly 2 years younger than her DS1 and it looks a handful but fun .

Gosh am rambling - WMMC - Exciting news about DS2 !! All this talk of finding out the sex (on here and on my Antenatal thread) is making me begin to waiver. I'd been sure we wouldn't but now I'm thinking I might. 3 weeks until my scan to decide though !

Have been swimming today and plan to try and swim 3 times a week. Also start antenatal yoga tomorrow. Kind of feels things are cranking up a gear !

ronshar · 15/10/2008 14:25

Hello ladies.

Popsy is currently in a gown waiting to be wheeled down for a C-section following failed induction. She is over the moon to be so close to meeting her minipops. Poor love so overdue.

Great news for all the good scans. Did I see WMMC is having a boy.

How is everyone here? I havent read all the way back. Having trouble leaning over a sleeping small boy. Between that and the really sore nipples all is great here.

Lacksadaisy. You are term. Fab. Get bouncing on anything that can be bounced on

ronshar · 15/10/2008 14:26

Wheely sounds like you are really pregnant now

Wheelybug · 15/10/2008 14:28

Waves at Ronshar !! Good to see you. Hope DS is behaving himself. Thanks for the news on Popsy - all the best people have c-sec after failed induction (ahem). Looking forward to hearing more news of Mini-pops.

Meant to also say in my previous post - hope things get moving soon Lackadaisy !!

ronshar · 15/10/2008 14:37

He is snoring on my chest right now! Other than the vomit all lovely

I shall try and get back on here later to let you know how Pops got on. MR Pops has his instructions to text me.

Wheelybug · 15/10/2008 14:47

Ahhh bless, aren't newborns lovely..... (can you see I've forgotten the sleepless nights, yelling, nappies, vomit etc....)

VickyJane77 · 15/10/2008 15:45

Well I had my scan today and it showed up an implantation bleed, we could also see a little heart beat so am feeling soooo relieved. xxxx

daisyj · 15/10/2008 16:04

Ooh, VickyJane, that's fab. So relieved for you - but not as relieved as you I'm sure.

Swaliswan - for you hearing FHB.

Hi to everyone else - looking forward to hearing about mini-pops arrival in the v. near future!

xx

daisyj · 15/10/2008 16:05

And welcome back joyful - you just lurk away

I am so pissed off. I should be on a plane RIGHT NOW to Bratislava and then Vienna on Fri and am not as I can't find my f*king f*king passport. And I am supposed to be the organised one!! We have had to cancel flights and hotel. This was our last time of going away on our own.

Bollocks.

But pleased for vicky and Wheely - boys things are cute too!!

I am in such a bad, bad, bad mood.
