Good luck Popsy Hope you don't need the induction.
Jules Good to "see" you I can't believe your DD is 13 weeks already - where did the time go?! Mind you, I'll be 37 weeks on Saturday and I still can't believe that either! Lacks and I will be racing each other to the finish
Cece Great news about the scan, so pleased for you.
Welcome to all the newbies - you'll get lots of support here which is crucial during the early weeks. Wishing you uneventful pregnancies

LackaDAISYcal · 08/10/2008 23:23

4weeks...4weeks...4weeks......

am feeling a bit scared witless about the birth. hospital trying to get me to agree to CFM; don't want it but they are bringing on the scary words to help me change my mind.......heartless feckers

My DH and doula (and MN) are helping me to stay strong though.

it included david brent and thunderbird referances...

daisy, you can do it

LackaDAISYcal · 09/10/2008 00:00

my mind is boggling snoop.....

OP posts:
SnoopDog · 09/10/2008 00:27

referance to PMA was the [david brent emotion]

and here is virgil

you can you can you can do it

and if you cant then shout and they will give you drugs,

if you shout extra loud they will give you lots and quickly

LackaDAISYcal · 09/10/2008 00:32

lol snoop...i'll take a pic of virgil in with me for inspiration

no to big bad drugs; need to avoid to maximise my chance of natural delivery. will be relying on tens, g&a and the ability/permission to abuse DH verbally to my hearts content

Can't wait

LackaDAISYcal · 09/10/2008 00:34

you're up late!!

I have pregnancy insomnia as an excuse. I can go to bed and clock watch as I cat nap, or like last night went at 2:30 and slept soundly till the alarm went off at seven!

OP posts:
SnoopDog · 09/10/2008 00:38

daisy,

you have a chance to do it though,

go for it, and if you are stressed/unhappy/hurting then you can have a section,

i would love to read that you have had the birth of your dreams,

i think it would make you very happy

you can but try hey...

LackaDAISYcal · 09/10/2008 00:45

true!

I am getting too hung up on it, I know; which can actually decrease my chances

I'm kind of looking forward to it really.

virgil very restless and am getting horrid BHs and cramping. Has been going on for days too. registrar thinks I might go sooner rather than later; which means I'll still be here at 42 weeks

OP posts:
SnoopDog · 09/10/2008 00:58

well me and my sliced beef wrap will keep ourselves to ourselves...

sooner rather than later would be good daisy hey?

lets be honest...

pregnancy after mc is the pits

thinking of every single one of you here tonight x x x

daisyj · 09/10/2008 12:54

Hurrah ronshar! Congratulations .

welcome new daisy - good luck - you're in the right place.

lol at dawn - in a nice way, though. So glad you've had a poo

Hello to everyone else. Must dash to get lunch, am getting a nasty headache - why are they so much worse when you're pg?

daisy5 · 09/10/2008 14:32

Thanks daisyj.

Is there room for another daisy or shall I go by the name newdaisy?

perkypopsy · 09/10/2008 15:17

Hi Everyone

Been pissing myself at snoopdog in his shades and cooing over eleanor - she is soooo gorgeous can't wait to have mine... no sign as yet but am trying not to give uphope :-)

Been for another nice long walk with a mid-walk break of jam cream scone YUUUUM. Having some tightenings which can only be a good thing but they have stopped again - what's the betting my cervix is still as tight as a gnats chuff tomorrow at the attempted sweep???

Think am going to go and have a little nap now - would be rude not to...

Daisy keep those legs crossed - I can't come later than you too - my brain will just explode

Congrats to rainrain - couldn't find your post - will do a search for your news in a mo

dan39 · 09/10/2008 18:35

Ronny well done you!!! A big welcome to the world to William! tell us more when you can!

Missed 2 days, its impossible to catch up - I need to learn how to do a practice post on a word doc so that I can to and fro...wanted to say lots to lots of you but am confused now...(not hard)

Am feeling flickers in my tummy as I type which is exciting (and reassuring as most of you know how bonkers I am about reassurance...) I am still paranoid about it but I agree with the comment above (sorry can't remember who it was) about trying to make it 'normal' and to alllow yourself to get excited - SO true to say we will be devastated if things go wrong so being excited anyway has got to make some sense, its exactly what I decided last week when I braved the shops and bought some things.

I told DH yesterday that I was a bit worried as I am not 'feeling' it much (at 23 weeks) and he pissed himself laughing and said 'look at the size of your tummy, its growing daily'! I think he was trying to be nice....

I think newdaisy is a genuis name, with a brain like that you are very welcome on the thread!! Congrats on your pg, how many weeks are you? You are in good company if you need to worry/moan/obsess/get excite/feel scared cos you got excited...we have it all on here!

Nice to see you again Jules, your dh is utterly gorgeous and I love the bath pic...wee tiny mite! Can't believe she is 13 weeks as she came shortly after I joined, and you were all reassuring me...where has the time gone? Oh yes - scan panic/size panic/numerous GP visits to check hb/lack of constipation panic/constipation panic/more scan panic...its all coming back to me now!

dan39 · 09/10/2008 18:43

Gottit now...Flossie it was you! Good news on the 12 week scan and enjoy your shopping!

cece you are doing well cos you have passed your 'other' date - sticky thoughts to you!

MsG welcome and congrats, its a tough time at the beginning, sendign you sticky thoughts too for the next few weeks. I think how you feel is a hard indicator cos its so different not only for different women but also from pg to pg - successful or otherwise! Just try to look after yourself to get to the next stage.

grinningbee · 09/10/2008 18:46

Congratulations Ronshar!

Please can one of you lovely more experienced ladies give me a slap?

I have just come back from my 16 week mw check and am majorly disappointed. I asked if we could have a listen to beans heartbeat, and she couldn't find it .

I know I shouldn't worry, but tomorrow is the anniversary of when I lost my first pg so you can imagine what I'm thinking (even though it was a mmc at 9 weeks and I saw this bean three weeks ago boogying on down on the scan).

It feels like being in limbo between the two scans, and my next one will be at almost 22 weeks!

I also found out today they're going to give me anti-d injections. Joy!

Sorry for the rant. I just wanted to hear bean today as it's to early to feel anything yet to know she/he is ok.

dan39 · 09/10/2008 19:18

I know what you mean...what a shame?? I have a lovely, lovely sympathetic GP who told me to come in any time to listen...could you try again? Sometimes they do just hide - I would want reassurance too! FWIW my midwife is crap and the GP much, much nicer...
