scotlass - well if all is OK at 14 weeks, which I'm sure it will be, then I would tell. You'll probably find it's a huge relief for people to know. As we all know we fear the worst till baby is here, but really, really if all is OK going into the second trimester then, even though anything can happen at any points, the odds are really really on your side. Even though all was OK at my nuchal I didn't start to feel truly more relaxed till 14 weeks, so I can totally understand where you're coming from...

ronshar - Hope you've opened your legs . Will be checking back for news later, lady.

winemakesmummyclever · 08/10/2008 08:41

Woo hoo Ronny!!!

Hope things have been going ok and will be at my pc all day checking back in case anyone has any news from you!

Good luck

ladyhelen2 · 08/10/2008 09:28

ronnygood luck!

daisyj well done on the old nookie front. Poor DH hasn't had any from me since the BFP, and am too damn tired to even think about it!

sparky glad all ok with you.

I have another scan today, and I must admit I am terrified. I had strange cramping last night. Not at all like the twinges I've been having which I think is stretching but neither was it like the terrible pain that I remember so well from my 2 mc. So am on knickercheck every half hour. Am having to go on my own too as DH is on a course in Birmingham.

aquababe · 08/10/2008 10:09

Big congrats Rainrain!!

Sorry your feeling down joyful I'm in the take each day as it comes frame of mind, but it's still really tough. I'm really sorry for your losses. hope you can see a gp and you start to feel better soon.

dbno thats great news re cyst sound like he was a lot nice/more informative than stroppy woman

sparky congrats on scan hope it gives you a few days relief at least

ronshar goodluck

The benefits of seeing the early scan have worn off and I'm panicing a lot at the moment as i seem to have a bit of diahorea. paranoid in case its a sign of mc and also because of the discomfort before hand being quite like cramps driving myself mental.
re: sex still in the paranoid don't come near me stage but dh is being understanding but i think he is quietly going insane.

Wheelybug · 08/10/2008 10:20

See Ronshar - what did I tell yuo about positive thinking . Good luck - although hope your little one is here by now !

Good luck with the scan ladyhelen.

DawnoftheDead · 08/10/2008 11:23

Hey all!!

Daisyj, am now thinking that the pain could have been wind as I haven't had it at all since and "thank the Lord" I have finally been to the toilet!! - Sorry about TMI!! Well done on the sex by the way!! I'm not sure of your exact situation with that, but I'm not even risking it until at least 12 weeks either because I've heard it can cause spotting and that would absolutely freak me out...

I had such a good sleep last night, that I woke up and felt so relaxed, I forgot that I was PG, then worried that I didn't feel PG... So.... I decided to do my Freebie CBDigital test with the conception indicator which I was going to do tomorrow. I was expecting to be 5 weeks PG tomorrow or Friday, but it came up with Pregnant 3+ in less than a minute!! I am soooo pleased as I lost the last one at 4w 3days... so just those few days over has made my day!! Also it means that my HCG levels are spot on which was such a relief!!

Big waves and babydust to everyone else. I hope you're all feeling Ok and that the knicker-checking is coming along nicely - does it mean that it's becoming too obsessive when you have to find a quiet place to check when you're out walking the dog in the morning? Or is it only me that needs the straight-jacket....

xxx

aquababe · 08/10/2008 12:03

I've just gone to get washing from machine only to realise I'd not put any washing powder in.
I thought it would take a bit longer to get scrambled pregancy brain

MsG · 08/10/2008 12:31

Hi there everyone. I'm 7 weeks pregnant tomorrow, and really anxious because I don't think I feel as pregnant as I did last year before my m/c. I know every pregnancy is different and it's early to feel symptoms, but I think I felt more nauseous last week than I do now. I know last time I had really sore breasts quite early on, and I haven't now either, although they do seem to have grown. I know I shouldn't compare, and that pregnancy wasn't right anyway so perhaps my symptoms weren't typical. I do feel extremely tired all the time, although I've now got a cold so it could be because of that. I've been getting twinges in my womb which I don't know if it's good or bad.

Won't be getting an early scan as they don't do them here. So I guess it's just a case of waiting. It's so hard not to over-analyse everything. Sorry for the rant - just needed to let off a bit of steam I think. x

cece · 08/10/2008 13:53

hello all,

I am back from my scan this morning and their was a little bean with a heartbeat Measuring about 7.4 which is 5 days less than my dates. BUT that would explain why I didn't get a bfp till I was 5 weeks so not overly worried (at the moment).

I actually had the consultant do the scan and he was so nice. He has booked me for another scan half way through 2nd trimester already. The usual 12 week scan will be like normal though so won't be seeing him for 10 weeks now (hopefully!)

Wheelybug · 08/10/2008 14:08

MsG - I felt more pregnant in the early days of the pregnancy I m/c than I did in my pregnancy with dd and this pregnancy so I wouldn't take this as a sign that all is not as it should be. Its such a worrying time....

Cece - glad the scan went well. At 7 weeks I was a few days behind too, still was at 10 weeks so doc reckoned my dates were slightly out only for things to have almost caught up to dates by 13 weeks. I think its pretty difficult at 7 weeks ish to get an accurate date (IMVHO !).

daisy5 · 08/10/2008 14:55

I was wondering if I might join your group as I have just become a fellow knicker checker.

After a threatened miscarriage with dd, chemical pregnancy last Nov and missed miscarriage at three months in June, I am very uneasy about my current pregnancy - 5+4.

I've just moved cities and just been on holiday (found out two days before we left), so only just signed up at a doctors today and won't get a doctors appt till Friday or Monday I expect.

So no experience of local health authority or even what scans and tests they offer, but hoping they will look kindly on a 41 year old with dodgy pregnancy history.

But just in case they don't, have booked a scan in two weeks at a private clinic as I will probably be in a bit of a state by then.

Also, not sure whether I should break the news to my doctor (the new one) that I have self prescribed low dosage asprin (I can't be bothered waiting for someone to suggest it.)

Sparky - hopefully in two weeks I will have a scan like yours (and cece too - that's great news).

perkypopsy · 08/10/2008 16:13

Hi Everyone Just a quick report from mumofthree ronny

Baby William born 2.54 this morning - mother and baby doing well - should be home and back on MN later tonight (if I know ronny).

perkypopsy · 08/10/2008 16:18

Hi wheely been avoiding MN for the last week - everyone on the september thread has been dropping their babies and I'm still here trying not to obsess (like TTC - emotional, obsessive knicker checking and sofa surfing - oh and being told you have to have more sex when you can't think of ANYTHING WORSE ).

Am booked for an induction Saturday but am going to put them off til early next week if I can - been for a long walk today and going to settle down now with three shitty mags and a big bar of dairy milk (well have to keep my strength up don't I? ).

Hi to everyone - so many messages to read will have to get through them and do another post...sticky vibes and fairy dust to everyone

ronshar · 08/10/2008 16:23

Yipee We are home. Baby William a dream. Ever so good.Very fast labour. So worth the wait.

Will try to be more informative later.

Wheelybug · 08/10/2008 16:38

Yeah Ronny ! Great news - welcome baby William...

Popsy - sorry things haven't started for you yet (and that naughty Ronny snuck in before you ). Fingers crossed the threat of induction gets the Popsy-ette moving ! Enjoy your chocolate....

cece · 08/10/2008 16:46

ronshar - congratulations and welcome to baby William.

MerlinsBeard · 08/10/2008 17:31

just popped on to say CONGRATULATIONS to Ronshar (who prob doesn't remember me!)

but OMG

Congratulations to CECE too (((extra special hug))) i know its early days yet (in so far as i can tell from a quick scan of the thread)

cece · 08/10/2008 19:18

hello mumofmonsters how are you?!

Yes I am 7 weeks 4 days according to today's scan. Only a week ahead of last years pg so think I may be freaking out by Dec. Hence my lovely consultant has booked me in for a reassurance scan at the appropriate week!

FlossieF · 08/10/2008 19:41

Oooh - lots of good news - I like it!

Congratulations on the new arrivals Rainrain and Ronshar and three cheers on the good scan results CeCe, Sparky and anyone else I've missed.

I'm delighted to report that I have good news too - the booking scan yesterday went fine. They dated me at 12+1 which is exactly where I thought I should be, and the bean waved its legs around a lot. All marvellous stuff.

DP has been bursted to tell people the news for ages, despite the previous mcs (he is the eternal optimist) and with that scan done, I could no longer force him to keep quiet. So we've gone public courtesy of some not very subtle status entries on his Facebook page!!!!!

It must be very different if you've experienced a second trimester mc, I know, but I'm determined to be like every other "normal" untouched-by-mc-trauma pg lady. So I'm allowing myself to believe and get excited, and will be going shopping for some clothes I actually fit into tomorrow! I might even join a proper ante-natal thread!!!!

If it all goes wrong I'll be devestated whether I've invested in this or not, so I figure I might as well try to enjoy it while I can. It won't be easy though, so wish me luck.......!!

LackaDAISYcal · 08/10/2008 20:16

Fantastci news FlossieF.....try and relax and enjoy your pregnancy now. Hard I know, but I'm sure you've been told the chances of it happening again are slim to none.

WOOHOO RONNY....CONGRATULATIONS and welcome to the world baby William

Good Luck for your induction popsy....or hopefully it won't come to that
